Chapter 651: That Pervert Actually Likes Flat Chests
Chapter 651: That Pervert Actually Likes Flat Chests
Constantine Stewart’s face was ashen as he stood silently on the side, scanning his surroundings. The basement was clearly constructed like a top-tier prison, unmistakably designed for detaining people.
Delphine noticed that the young girl was unharmed physically, though thoroughly frightened. She patted her gently on the back to comfort her, saying, "It’s good that you’re okay."
"I’m not sure why Fourth Master kidnapped my wife and invited me here. What is it you want?" Constantine directed his ice-cold voice toward the burly man who had brought them there.
"Since you’re here, naturally it’s to discuss a business proposition." A seductive and roguish voice rang out. A tall, lean man stood by the stairway entrance, gazing at the solid steel cage in the basement with a faint smile. His eyes lingered briefly on Delphine.
The man’s voice carried a deliberately concealed low tone, and his face was hidden in the shadows, making it impossible to discern his features.
Constantine stepped in front of Delphine and Chloe Winston, his words biting as though forged from ice: "Fourth Master’s approach to doing business is certainly...creative."
The brawny man who had kept quiet for most of the time finally spoke. "Early this morning, someone offered fifty million on the black market for Miss Winston’s life. If Fourth Master hadn’t stepped in—handling four groups of people and spreading the word on the black market—Miss Winston would’ve already been fed to the fish."
As he spoke, the man pulled out a stack of photographs. Constantine flipped through them, his face growing colder as he turned to look at Chloe.
The young girl had always been afraid of him. Seeing his ominous expression, she clung tightly to Delphine’s hand and murmured softly, "When I woke up, I was already here. He’s the one who made me call you."
Chloe pointed at the dark-skinned, brawny man. Since she and Constantine were in the middle of divorce proceedings, she didn’t want to call him, so she had contacted Delphine instead.
"Shadowhunter, show them upstairs," the man chuckled deeply before vanishing into the stairwell.
"That man is so strange; if he rescued me, why is he frightening us?" Chloe whispered nervously as she followed behind Delphine. "Being locked up here scared me half to death. And now he’s scaring you guys too."
Delphine’s palm was slightly sweaty. Hearing Chloe’s words, she couldn’t help but think that Fourth Master truly had a terrible sense of humor.
"This man’s origins are shrouded in mystery. He never shows his face, walks a line between good and evil—it’s hard to pin down," Constantine said in a subdued tone, hardly relaxing for a moment. His hostility toward this enigmatic figure with an unknown background remained steadfast.
Previously, this establishment had ties to the Russians, but now Constantine wasn’t so sure. The man’s style of operation was audacious and unrestrained, suggesting someone with even greater power.
The three were escorted out of the basement and into the hall of the club. The middle-aged man named Shadowhunter saw Constantine out.
Chloe, being her carefree self, realized she was safe and immediately asked if she could order food. Joyfully, she proceeded to order five or six desserts, a plate of steak and pasta, and a bottle of red wine.
"Director Gu, when I was scared half to death earlier, the only thought in my mind was to eat tons and tons of desserts. You don’t know how at home, Constantine never lets me eat desserts because he says I’m fat." Chloe stuffed a dessert into her mouth, then angrily sliced her steak as though it were Constantine himself. Constantine had a peculiar preference for extremely skinny women, but Chloe’s figure was perfectly curvy in all the right places. Yet this maniac would control her diet—who on earth prefers a flat body?
Delphine couldn’t help but laugh, seeing Chloe eating and drinking so heartily after such an ordeal. She remarked, "This club is highly unusual. We’re still in their hands, you know."
