Chapter 614: The Forever Single Uncle, Caught by Spring Fever
Chapter 614: The Forever Single Uncle, Caught by Spring Fever
Ignatius Leclair stood outside the hospital room, blocking the Land siblings, looking down coldly at the man trying to steal away the mother of Benjamin and the little one. He found him utterly disagreeable.
Cassius Turner, having learned that it was Ignatius Leclair who saved him and Delphine, instantly felt his aura diminish. He tugged at his sister and weakly said, "Don’t say anything more, as long as Delphine is okay, let’s go back."
Wilbur Turner had a stubborn streak, hoping fervently that Delphine could marry her second brother, so she could have an unbeatable idol as a sister-in-law. She said somewhat resentfully, "We’re here to see Delphine. Who are you to her, and what qualifications do you have to call the shots here?"
The young girl’s courage was commendable. The man’s deep phoenix eyes narrowed slightly, and he said with extreme coldness and detachment, "The father of Delphine’s children, does that status suffice?"
In fact, he was her ex-husband, but now the man didn’t even want to mention those two words.
Miss Wilbur reacted for a moment, suddenly widened her eyes as if she had seen a ghost, and blurted out: "So you’re the jerk who abandoned his wife and child, yet you still have the face to date in the Imperial City for three years. Oh my God, you dare to criticize my second brother, how is he any worse than you?"
Maximilian, hearing the commotion, came over just in time to see Miss Wilbur Turner, in full battle mode, pointing at Ignatius’s nose and scolding him. The scene was too much to bear.
Ignatius Leclair’s expression turned terrifyingly gloomy; arguing with a young girl was indeed beneath his dignity and face. He decided to ignore, saying coolly, "Mr. Wilbur Turner, you should go home and recover as soon as possible."
After speaking, the man entered the hospital room with a gloomy face and shut the door behind him.
That night, the little tyrant of the Howard Family was summoned to the hospital.
"Have you lost your mind, Wilbur? That’s my little aunt we’re talking about, are you feeling particularly bold?" Yeats Howard was itching to knock his teeth out if not for his injuries.
When his little uncle called him, the tone was so cold that it almost froze him. Yeats decided to come to the rescue of this lifelong troublemaker turned good youth, uh, brave knight.
Cassius Turner lay on the bed, smiling bitterly: "Delphine and your little uncle are divorced, she’s not your little aunt."
Yeats scratched his head, troubled, as he leaned closer to him, saying: "The key thing is my little uncle’s attitude is dangerous. If you marry my little aunt, would Benjamin call me brother or uncle?"
This was a very serious question.
Cassius was amused by his nonchalant demeanor, a shadow passing through his eyes. So that man regrets it, doesn’t want to let go, and wants Delphine again?
Wilbur took a deep breath, feeling a bit troubled. He had just persuaded his parents, but now another big obstacle appeared out of nowhere. However, he observed that Delphine seemed to have no lingering feelings for Ignatius Leclair.
The man recalled Delphine’s words before he fell unconscious, a smile appearing on his face.
"You should leave," Cassius Turner, finding him bothersome, closed his eyes to recover.
"Then I’m leaving. Remember, don’t go head-to-head with my little uncle. My bad reputation doesn’t even register with him," Yeats Howard rambled. Seeing that Cassius really closed his eyes, he finally exited the hospital room and dashed off to report back. Whether or not Wilbur listened, who knows.
Yeats was so excited he could jump for joy, eager to return to tell the great-grandmother that the perennial bachelor uncle was feeling amorous, uh, fighting with Wilbur over a woman.
The Howard Family should quickly prepare for a face-off with the Land Family.
