Chapter 264: They say a calamity lasts a thousand years, but someone like you would surely live to a ripe old age.

Leah arrived at the film city that evening, accompanied by Griffith Squire. The siblings—one exceptionally handsome, the other strikingly cold and beautiful—brought along a group of dazzling bodyguards. They practically announced their arrival with an invisible sign flashing "Extremely Dangerous" on their foreheads.

Though the film city bustled with activity, attracting all kinds of people, it rarely encountered figures that commanded genuine awe. As Griffith’s group strode in with their imposing demeanor, passersby instinctively stepped back a few paces.

Less than ten minutes after Griffith set foot in the film city, local officials received the news and convened an emergency meeting. Why had the most ruthless figure of the Golden Triangle, Shiva, entered their humble city of A? What could possibly be happening?

Halfway through the meeting, another piece of information came through: the Crown Prince from the Southeast Asian region was also in the film city. City A was merely a mid-tier municipality whose modest fame stemmed from its film studio. The local officials, especially the highest-ranking leader nearing retirement, began to imagine the worst—surely these intimidating young heirs weren’t about to clash on his turf? He shivered at the thought.

His imagination running wild, the official wiped cold sweat from his forehead and hastily reported the situation to the Imperial City. Eventually, the matter reached the military’s attention. An hour later, even Richard Shaw was alerted, prompting him to call Ignatius Leclair.

"What are you doing in the film city, stirring up such panic?" Richard Shaw was checking Casimir Shaw’s homework during the video call. After instructing Casimir to pack his backpack and watch some cartoons, he finally had time to address Ignatius, noticing he was at the hospital. Raising an eyebrow, Richard asked in his usual calm manner, "Are you sick?"

"Yeah." The man responded lazily, his complexion pale, clearly burdened by his inner turmoil.

Richard curved his lips into a faint smirk and remarked, "They say troublemakers live long lives. People like you will probably outlast everyone. Leadership upstairs asked me to confirm if Griffith Squire’s presence in City A has anything to do with you."

Ignatius’s expression darkened. He hadn’t expected Griffith to show up too; having barely dealt with one problem, now another loomed.

Seeing his grim look, Richard paused for thought and asked indifferently, "Is Delphine filming in the film city?"

He couldn’t think of any other reason for Ignatius’s appearance in City A.

"Delphine’s hospitalized. The Squire siblings came to visit her." Ignatius explained succinctly.

"Fine, as long as they don’t cause any trouble." Richard made a movement as though to end the video call.

The man lifted his eyes slightly, his piercing gaze narrowing. In a frosty tone, he replied, "Old Shaw, this time, there’s bound to be chaos in City A. If you arrive late, you might be scraping up my remains."

Richard froze mid-movement, then asked, "How did Delphine end up hospitalized?"

"The doctor said... too much activity in bed, excessive stress. She fainted. Now she won’t see me, and Griffith Squire is here, out for blood." Ignatius spoke expressionlessly.

Richard instantly felt a weight on his chest. This call should never have been made. Just by looking at him, it was clear Ignatius was internally frustrated and simply waiting for Griffith to come and confront him.

"So you forced yourself on her? Lost control because of your possessiveness?" Richard’s voice sank, growing heavier. It was the first time Ignatius had ever lost control over a woman. If he cared so much, why hadn’t he settled things earlier, married her, and led a proper life together? Avoid ending up like him and Crystal Landon—forever separated by fate.

"Go check on your little treasure at home." Ignatius said coldly, cutting the call without hesitation, his face dark as a storm.

Outside the hospital room, Maximilian knocked twice on the door and entered, speaking softly, "Mr. Leclair, the Squire siblings are downstairs at the hospital, and they’re not playing around."

Ignatius snorted coldly and said, "Let them come up."
