Chapter 1050: Taking Crystal Landon to Choose Wedding Rings
Chapter 1050: Taking Crystal Landon to Choose Wedding Rings
As they were talking, Richard Shaw came down after changing his clothes. Since he was attending a wedding, he naturally wouldn’t wear his military uniform. Richard wore a suit, and his tie was a dark red color, somehow matching Crystal Landon’s dress.
The man usually wore either a deep green military uniform or a shirt. It was rare to see him in a suit, and without the military uniform, his whole demeanor changed—handsome, composed, exuding masculinity from head to toe.
"Old lady, your family is going to end up making others envious. You’ll steal all the spotlight from the newlyweds," an aunt remarked with a laugh.
The old lady was all smiles, looking at the lively Shaw Mansion, which hadn’t been this bustling in over a decade. She smiled and said, "Let’s set off."
Richard Shaw drove with the old lady and Crystal Landon, while the others had their own cars. In an instant, five or six cars were heading to the Howard family’s wedding venue.
Seeing that no relatives were around, the old lady let out a cold snort and said to her grandson, "Richard, after the wedding, take Crystal shopping to order a wedding ring. Or do you want me to buy it for you?"
On their wedding night, Richard Shaw had returned to the Southwest Military Zone. There was no wedding ring, nothing at all; he simply married the young and beautiful girl. Although the old lady gave a lot of good things and almost handed over the Shaw family’s household matters to her, it wasn’t the same as something from Richard Shaw himself.
Even without Crystal Landon saying anything, the old lady felt sorry on her behalf. You only get married once in a lifetime.
Hearing this, Richard Shaw was slightly taken aback. Seeing Crystal smiling brightly beside the old lady, he recalled how he had left her for a year, and she seemed to have no complaints, instead helping to take care of the old lady.
The man couldn’t help but think about these past days with her; apart from being a little mischievous and teasing him, she did not commit any significant mistakes, and ever since she came to the Shaw Mansion, not only had his grandmother become more cheerful, but the house itself felt livelier than before.
"Alright," the man responded deeply. He should indeed make it up to her with a diamond ring. Whatever other women should have when they get married, he’d make sure to give to her one by one.
Seeing this, the old lady finally smiled slightly and patted Crystal Landon’s small hand.
The car soon arrived at Augustus Howard’s wedding estate.
The Shaw family old lady was dressed elegantly and impeccably, bringing seven or eight younger family members to the Howard family’s wedding venue. The one welcoming them was Drake Howard, who was momentarily stunned upon seeing them. Damn, Richard must have some nerve; why isn’t he the one getting married today with such a big Shaw family turnout? The Shaw family hadn’t appeared earnestly in the Imperial City social circle for over a decade.
"Stop eating and quickly go fetch Grandma. Tell her the Shaw family old lady is here," Drake Howard snapped, smacking away the snacks Nova Howard was stuffing into her mouth to fill her stomach, rolling his eyes. "Nova, look how slim Crystal is. If you keep eating, you’ll turn into a fatty."
Nova Howard, having been busy since morning without a bite to eat, finally sneaked in a small snack. Hearing her brother’s words, she felt like the world was full of malice.
The sadness lasted less than three seconds before Nova saw Crystal Landon and happily jumped up, quickly running inside to fetch Grandma.
The arrival of the Shaw family instantly drew the attention of everyone. The Shaw family old lady was kind and dignified, accompanied by a group of exceptionally good-looking Shaw family younger members. The most outstanding was Crystal Landon in her fiery red dress. Surrounded by four or five young and beautiful women around the Shaw family old lady, everyone felt a touch of spring in the air.
