Chapter 422: Mu Feng’s School (Fourth Update)
Chapter 422: Mu Feng’s School (Fourth Update)
"Your kink is just making me wear all sorts of strange outfits and then having fun with me on the bed?"Jiang Nuo almost wanted to cry. He just wanted to try some role-playing. Why did it sound so weird when it came out of his wife’s mouth?
But it’s okay even if she didn’t agree now; he has plenty of ways to make her agree. After all, it’s not his fault she’s so "spoiling" towards him.
Jiang Nuo felt secretly smug in his heart.
When he got downstairs, Mu Mingyu was already waiting there with the car. Once they got in, he drove straight to Mu Feng’s school.
The international music school where Mu Feng studied happened to be in the same city where Mu Qiuniang was competing. However, because the competition schedule was tight before, she couldn’t leave the group for too long, so she didn’t leave.
But now, it’s all over, and she has plenty of time to "splurge." Besides, the announcement Jiang Nuo received is for something starting the day after tomorrow.
When they parked the car at the school gate, Mu Qiuniang and Jiang Nuo decided to take a stroll around the school while Mu Mingyu looked for a parking space.
The international music school is quite large, with tall Gothic-style buildings, completely different from the traditional styles one would find internationally.
Since Jiang Nuo often visited foreign countries, he had somewhat studied these and could explain things in a way that made her "look at him with new eyes." Jiang Nuo chuckled, "Honey, could you not look at me with worshipful eyes? It makes me feel like I’ve done something impressive."
"But you really know a lot!" She had no feelings about buildings and couldn’t tell the architectural style, such as quadrangles, Jiangnan dwellings, Lingnan style, Huizhou architecture, Haipai architecture, Sichuan Western dwellings, Sichuan Western Qionglong architecture, or academy architecture, let alone foreign ones.
But Jiang Nuo seemed to know a bit about all of them; no matter what kind of building he saw, he could probably identify its style, its school, and the stories associated with that school.
"If you have an interest in this kind of stuff, you’re bound to know a bit. Even if you’d like me to speak in more detail, I’m not that proficient; I only know the basics."
This wasn’t Jiang Nuo being modest. After all, he didn’t specialize in this, so he couldn’t possibly understand everything.
The reason he knew about these architectural styles and their stories was mainly for acting. Due to acting, he encountered many story backgrounds that contained descriptions of buildings.
Sometimes, in order to get more into a scene, he would pay special attention to the architectural environment set in the story. Because the environment might possess something pertinent to a certain era.
Gradually, as he learned more, he naturally developed a certain outline of these architectural styles, capable of speaking eloquently about them.
"If you know the basics, just refine it a bit, and you’ll be fine, right?" Mu Qiuniang said. "Hearing you talk about this, I have an idea. I’ve noticed you’re not just interested in buildings; you seem fascinated by things like everyday utensils too. Have you ever considered studying some artifact refining?"
"You mean you want me to study artifact refining? But I have no clue about it."
"It’s okay; you can learn slowly. There’s plenty of time. Besides, when I first started learning, I was probably worse than you. Even to this day, I can’t differentiate building styles. But I don’t need to make anything huge, so it doesn’t matter. However, if you plan on making something big, like an Immortal Ship in the future, you’ll indeed need a lot of architectural theory knowledge."
Jiang Nuo was speechless: "Honey, you’re thinking too far ahead, aren’t you? Talking about making an Immortal Ship? I haven’t even become immortal, nor have I learned to craft yet."
"Of course, you must think ahead. Otherwise, why study this stuff? Just to make a couple of long swords? If you don’t aim high, will you realize halfway through that you can’t move up, and then consider it?"
"No, honey, you’re right. Only by aiming far can one know where the pinnacle of the future lies. You can’t just climb only to find you’ve reached the top and have nowhere left to go."
"So, do you want to give it a try?"
Jiang Nuo wrapped his arm around Mu Qiuniang’s shoulder and said, "Of course! You’re my wife; I trust your judgment. If you think I’m suitable, then I must be suitable. When we get back, I’ll give it a try."
They continued walking forward, not knowing if it was because of their Eastern features or because both were wearing hats and masks, many people around were eyeing them.
However, whether it was Jiang Nuo or Mu Qiuniang, they were already used to the feeling of "being in the spotlight," so they didn’t mind at all. As long as no one recognized them, it was fine.
Mu Mingyu called to ask where they were, and they gave him a location and waited there for him.
Soon, Mu Mingyu arrived, and surprisingly, Mu Feng was with him.
"I saw him just returning at the school gate, so I asked him to join us!" Mu Mingyu said.
"Aunt Grandmother, Uncle Grandfather!" Looking at Mu Qiuniang’s face that was clearly younger than his own, Mu Feng found it hard to call them that.
Sigh... having a young elder at home is troublesome!
"Let’s find a less crowded place to chat," Jiang Nuo said.
"Alright!" Mu Feng led them to a certain café on campus, where only high-end patrons could enter due to high prices, making it usually less crowded (ordinary people couldn’t enter without a membership card).
Jiang Nuo laughed, "You’re living quite the life here at school, aren’t you?"
Getting VIP treatment--he didn’t know how many movies he had to shoot to reach this level back when he entered the entertainment industry.
Mu Feng, still in college, had made it to this level already.
Mu Feng said, "It’s nothing compared to Uncle Grandfather, just won a few awards in music competitions and got some prize money."
"The expenses here aren’t small!"
"Since I’m treating Aunt Grandmother and Uncle Grandfather, we can’t go to just any cheap place. Although the cost here is high, it’s within my affordable range. Aunt Grandmother, Uncle Grandfather, what would you like to eat?"
"For me, no matter how good the food, it’s never as good as what your Aunt Grandmother makes herself."
"Of course, with Aunt Grandmother’s God of Cooking status, no one else can compare. Plus, I think to Uncle Grandfather, no delicacy in the world is more important than Aunt Grandmother."
Mu Feng smiled. Having spent much of his life abroad, he possessed a unique gentlemanly and romantic demeanor characteristic of American men.
His every move exuded the elegance and nobility of an American aristocrat. Clearly, even though his father was away long-term and his elder brother wasn’t around, he had received a good education, starting from a higher point than the average person.
However, Mu Feng himself was also very outstanding; otherwise, he wouldn’t have been accepted into an international music school at such a young age and participated in international music competitions, winning quite a few prizes.
