Chapter 911 928: Faster Than a Bullet

Chapter 911 928: Faster Than a Bullet

"Uh... no way, only ninety pounds?""What do you think? Hurry up, the bad guys are about to get away!" The chief police officer didn't have time to discuss weight issues with Lin Mu and sprinted towards the underground parking lot.

The two chased to the exit of the underground parking lot, where the red Santana had already crashed into the side guardrail, with both front tires flat! There were four people sitting in the car, two in the front and two in the back. The two in the front had blood streaming down their faces, while the two in the back remained motionless in the car, exuding an ominous aura—they were obviously desperadoes!

"Everyone, be careful! Stay back!" Qi Manlin commanded, signaling for those around to retreat.

At this moment, the people in the car had not exited, and it was unclear whether they had weapons. If they had guns, they could injure officers or even cause fatalities, which would have severe consequences!

"Sis, don't get too worked up." Lin Mu pulled back the chief police officer who was about to go forward.

"What?"

"They have guns." Lin Mu gestured and continued, "Anyway, their car's tires are blown, and our cars have blocked them. If they don't want to get out, just let them be. Once they lose patience, they'll get out eventually. They're staying put because they want to lure someone over and then take hostages to escape!"

Qi Manlin glanced at Lin Mu, nodded, and instructed the other officers, "You guys, fall back, find cover, and prepare for safety measures!"

The officers nodded and hid behind pillars, as the front of the car the criminals were in was unprotected, and approaching would surely mean a sacrifice.

"No, they're definitely here for a reason, I need to figure it out!" Qi Manlin insisted.

Lin Mu thought for a moment and then said, "You stay here, I'll go."

"Can you handle it?"

"Come on, don't trust my skills?"

Qi Manlin naturally trusted Lin Mu's skills and nodded, "Alright then, be careful."

"No problem!" Lin Mu gestured and then swaggered towards the car.

When Lin Mu got within five meters of the car, the door of the Santana suddenly opened, and two men with masks covering all but their eyes and mouths jumped out from the back door. Their swift movements indicated they had been trained by a terror organization.

"Don't move, move and you're dead!" The two men pointed their guns at Lin Mu and shouted.

"Oh? Let me tell you, in seven years, no one has dared to point a gun at me, are you something special?" Lin Mu grinned.

In the next second, Lin Mu suddenly moved, his body a blur, making it impossible for the two armed criminals to aim. In a split second, Lin Mu's ghost-like movements had already dashed past the two men.

The next second, with two quick strikes, Lin Mu swung his palm blade, slicing through the air, causing the two criminals to feel like their wrists had been slashed, pain overwhelming them, and their guns fell to the ground.

Bam, Lin Mu lunged forward and punched one of them, sending him flying. Thud, he then kicked the other guy, sending him reeling backwards. The two criminals landed on the car's hood, then slid down beneath it.

A "Wow" escaped as both men felt a chest pain, then spat out blood!

"Go!"

With Qi Manlin's order, the officers hidden behind quickly moved in and surrounded the car. The car speed was so high earlier that the tire burst upon hitting the barriers, and the car's head swerved into the wall, causing the individuals in the front to be incapacitated from the collision.

Qi Manlin led a group of officers over, quickly aiming their guns at the two in the front seats.

"I'm the police, I order you, get out of the car immediately!" Qi Manlin demanded of the two in the front.

Soon the door opened, and the two people slowly climbed out of the car, looking disheveled, their masks stained red with blood.

"Arrest them!" As soon as they got out, the police outside controlled them. Qi Manlin stepped up and ripped the masks off the four assassins, and as expected, they were Russians!

"Are you Tsar's men?" Lin Muxiao, taking out a cigarette, asked the criminals.

The criminals chuckled coldly, their eyes showing no fear, as if they were ready to die!

"Yes, we're Tsar's men." The criminal didn't hide anything and confessed outright.

"Oh? Heh, didn't expect you'd admit it so easily?" Lin Mu exhaled a puff of smoke.

"That's right, so what if we admit it? At worst, we die! Since we came, we never planned on leaving alive!" the criminal said defiantly.

"Hey, your fate's decided by the cops, not me. I'm asking you, where's your leader Sharapova hiding?" Lin Mu was uninterested in other matters; this was the priority since this appearance was clearly orchestrated by Sharapova.

The criminal looked at Lin Mu and sneered, "I advise you to give up, no matter what you ask, I know nothing!"

"Damn, got some backbone!" Lin Mu smirked, unexpectedly landing a punch in the guy's stomach.

"Ugh..." The criminal grunted, spitting out a mouthful of blood.

"Kill me, I know nothing." The criminal clutched his abdomen, looking menacingly at Lin Mu with blood-streaked teeth.

"What's your purpose here?" This time Qi Manlin asked.

Qi Manlin was most concerned about safety because she knew Tsar's people wouldn't appear here for no reason; there had to be a plot.

The criminal turned his gaze to Qi Manlin, with blood-stained teeth, smirking grimly, "Heh, you're looking for our boss, right? Well, let me show you some fun. Ha, to be honest, we've already planted a time bomb at the venue, it'll explode in five minutes, who knows how many will die? Haha, but the more deaths, the more fun our boss thinks! And you'll be busy for a while, right?"

Sharapova was certainly not to be underestimated; her actions were constantly thwarted by the police, so she chose this crowded occasion to indirectly intimidate them. Not that she actually intended to bomb the conference's leaders and guests, but mainly to deal with Qi Manlin, because a small bomb wouldn't kill many people, but would put the police under public scrutiny for failing.

Additionally, if this operation succeeded, Sharapova's moves in Wancheng couldn't continue, and dealing with Lin Mu would have to be postponed. Nevertheless, the plan to hunt Lin Mu could continue in secret.
