Chapter 315 325: False Accusations

The sudden shout startled the two Cloud ninja nearly out of their wits.

"Damn, we've been spotted."

Before they could react, a figure descended from the sky. With a single palm strike, one of the kidnappers was killed instantly. The other only survived because he was holding little Hinata, using her as a shield.

"Hand over the child and tell me who sent you. If you do, I might consider sparing your life," Hizashi Hyuga said, his voice ice-cold.

He had been on his way to his brother's residence when he stumbled upon the scene. If he hadn't, these scoundrels might have succeeded. The thought of his brother facing the pain of losing a child nearly made Hizashi lose control of his rage.

Taking a deep breath, Hizashi forced himself to remain calm. He stared at the masked man, expecting him to surrender.

From Hizashi's perspective, the enemy's operation had been compromised. There was no escape. Surrender was the only option for survival; otherwise, the corpse beside him was a preview of his fate.

Unexpectedly, the Cloud ninja grit his teeth. Instead of surrendering, he launched a desperate attack at Hizashi.

However, the gap in their strength was immense. Desperation alone could not bridge it. In just two exchanges, the kidnapper fell victim to Hizashi's Gentle Fist.

"Heh... you're finished..."

Hearing the man's final threat before he died, Hizashi frowned. He handed the awakened and wailing Hinata to a clansman who had just arrived. He then stepped forward to examine the corpses, hoping to find some clue as to their identity.

"Insolence!!!"

Suddenly, a furious roar erupted from a distant rooftop. Immediately after, a burly figure wrapped in blinding lightning charged at Hizashi with incredible speed.

There were fast ninja in the world, but few could stimulate their physical body with Lightning Release chakra to this extent. Only those of the Raikage's lineage possessed such capability.

It was the future Fourth Raikage, Buraza.

"Lightning Release: Lariat!"

Faced with such a ferocious attack, Hizashi dared not be careless. He immediately spun, activating his defense.

"Rotation!"

Unfortunately, he couldn't completely disperse the massive impact force. With a dull thud, Hizashi spat out a mouthful of blood and was sent flying backward.

This enraged the gathered members of the Hyuga clan.

It was a joke! An outsider, in Konoha, in the heart of the Hyuga compound, had just beaten their Vice-Clan Leader into a critical state. If they didn't fight back now, the Hyuga clan might as well pack up and leave the village out of shame.

As for whether attacking Buraza would cause a diplomatic incident? The Hyuga members decided that was a headache for the Hokage. Right now, all they wanted was revenge for their leader.

Byakugan veins bulged around their eyes. Under Buraza's greedy gaze, the Hyuga clan members launched a coordinated siege against him.

However, against the speed amplified by the Lightning Release Chakra Mode, not a single Hyuga could catch Buraza, let alone harm him.

In moments, instead of redeeming their honor, several Hyuga were grievously injured by Buraza. Meanwhile, more and more Hyuga members poured out of their homes, joining the encirclement.

Such a large-scale riot had been detected by the Anbu immediately. However, the reality was that the Hyuga clan, now in an ironclad alliance with the Uchiha, had enough confidence to ignore Anbu orders.

In normal times, the Anbu might have forcefully subdued them out of anger. But the enemy was a diplomat from the Cloud Village. The Anbu couldn't rashly intervene without escalating the situation internationally.

Thus, the Anbu squad on the scene split up: one team went to report to the high command, while the others monitored the situation closely to prevent further escalation.

Just as the battle intensified, a prepared squad of Cloud ninja, led by Darui, suddenly rushed onto the field.

Seeing this, the Hyuga members assumed these were enemy reinforcements. Already seeing red, they attacked Darui and his men without a word.

With this, the situation blew up completely.

"Everyone, STOP!!!"

Just as both sides, fueled by rage, were about to unleash large-scale ninjutsu, Hiruzen Sarutobi, clad in his battle armor, finally arrived with a squad of Anbu.

With a single shout, the aura of the "Professor" suppressed everyone in the field—everyone, that is, except for the "enraged" Buraza.

"Third Hokage, you arrived just in time," Buraza shouted, pushing through the crowd. He pointed an accusing finger at the two corpses on the ground and demanded sternly, "I want to ask what is the meaning of this! We came here with an attitude of learning and exchange, but you people dare to assassinate us in the dark! Does Konoha want to start a war?!"

"That's right! Konoha must give us an answer!"

"Punish the murderers! Do not let these villains go!"

"Exactly!"

Hearing Buraza's accusations, the Cloud ninja behind him began to clamor. On the Konoha side, aside from the Hyuga clan members who were trying to argue back, everyone else, including Hiruzen, remained silent.

"Bullshit! You came to kidnap a member of our clan, and now you have the face to bite back?! Do you think Konoha is easy to bully?!" a Hyuga member shouted, unable to hold back.

"Heh, well said," Buraza sneered internally. He pointed rudely at the man. "Since you claim we came to kidnap someone, show us the evidence! If you don't have evidence, then shut your mouth!"

Hearing Buraza's humiliating words, the faces of the Hyuga clan members flushed red with rage. The atmosphere reached a boiling point.

As for the evidence Buraza demanded, the Hyuga naturally couldn't produce it. Little Hinata had already been sent back to her room. Even if she were here, the Cloud—who had clearly prepared for this—would likely deny everything or twist the narrative to frame the Hyuga.

Seeing both sides stuck in an endless argument, Hiruzen roared again.

"Silence!"

What chilled the hearts of the Hyuga clan members was that Hiruzen's roar was directed at them.

Anyone with eyes could see the situation. The Cloud was clearly stirring up trouble. Why else would Buraza happen to be nearby late at night and coincidentally witness the "murder"?

Under these circumstances, Hiruzen, as the leader of the village, not only failed to speak up for the Hyuga but reprimanded them instead. This caused some of the more hot-tempered Hyuga members to lose their patience, preparing to attack the Cloud ninja again despite the Hokage's presence.

Just as the situation was about to spiral out of control again, a figure appeared in the center of the confrontation.

With a simple wave of his hand, the agitated Hyuga clan members instantly fell silent.

The newcomer was none other than Uchiha Kyosuke, who had been watching from the sidelines for quite some time.
