Luo Shangqing came over with a look of helplessness and reached for the phone: "Hello."He didn’t know what was said on the other end, but he nodded slightly: "Okay, I’ll be right there."

"Mu Chenxi, hurry up, I have a surgery soon," Luo Shangqing urged. "If you can’t roll it up, then take it off. As a medical professional, shouldn’t you prioritize saving lives over distinguishing between genders first?"

Mu Chenxi’s face turned red with embarrassment. Normally, she wasn’t so coy. As a child going to the hospital for injections, she often encountered male doctors, and if they needed to inject her buttocks, she would let them without fuss. Moreover, those in the medical field shouldn’t care about these details. If everyone was too embarrassed and insisted on seeing a doctor of the same sex, the hospital would need separate wards for male and female doctors just like restrooms.

Under his impatient gaze, Mu Chenxi reluctantly took off her sweater, but only removed one sleeve, exposing just one side of her shoulder and arm.

Luo Shangqing wiped her arm with alcohol cotton, and the slender syringe looked delicate in his long fingers. He was skillful in his movements and quickly completed the injection.

However, just now, just seeing that girl’s tender arm and accidentally catching a glimpse of the black spaghetti strap in her sweater, his blood unexpectedly began to boil involuntarily.

Luo Shangqing walked to the sink, turned on the tap, and splashed some water on his face to quench the rising impulse within him.

"Professor Luo, the director sent me to ask if you’re ready?" a nurse knocked on the door and entered, seeing first not Luo Shangqing, but the girl sitting in front of his desk playing with the cat.

The girl wore an orange sweater and had her hair in a ponytail, looking like a minor from the side.

"Yes, I’ll be there shortly," Luo Shangqing walked out from the restroom.

The nurse wanted to make conversation and find an opportunity to talk more so she curiously asked: "Professor Luo, is this child your relative?"

If not, with Professor Luo’s fastidiousness, why would he allow her to play with a cat in his office? This is a hospital, after all.

Luo Shangqing was taken aback, it seemed in others’ eyes, Mu Chenxi still looked like a child.

Mu Chenxi turned her head hearing the voice and smiled politely at the nurse, then continued playing the paw-shaking game with Kong Tai crouched on the table.

Luo Shangqing said nothing, turned around to get his white coat, and then said to Mu Chenxi: "Go out and grab something to eat. Come back here after and wait for me. This surgery will take about three hours."

After speaking, he placed his wallet on the table: "The money is here."
