Chapter 494 - 509: Wishing for a devoted heart, never parting until old age.

Han Xi took a piece of paper and a pen from the drawer and wrote down her phone number to hand it to him.Wen Yichen took off his headphones, accepted the paper from Han Xi’s hand, and said, "I got it. After dinner, I’ll return to my room."

"You can stay here for now. I’m worried they might come looking for you again."

Wen Yichen nodded, put his headphones back on, and continued eating.

When Han Xi came downstairs, Lu Jinghan was in the living room making a phone call. Seeing Han Xi come down, he said a few words to the person on the phone and then hung up.

"Let’s go."

Lu Jinghan had a gentle smile at the corners of his mouth, entwined his fingers with Han Xi’s small hand, and walked outside.

They pushed out a white bicycle together; Lu Jinghan straddled it, one foot on the ground, the other on the pedal: "Get on, darling."

Han Xi sat on the back seat, wrapped her arms around Lu Jinghan’s narrow waist, and had a smile on her lips like sweet nectar, feeling a surge of that old school romance feeling.

Today, Han Xi wore a long white dress with a denim jacket. Her long hair, falling down her back, was lifted by the warm breeze.

The tea farm wasn’t very far from their guesthouse; it took about twenty minutes to ride there.

Han Xi got off the back seat with a gentle smile and looked at Lu Jinghan. She took a small packet of tissues from her jacket pocket and wiped his sweat: "Are you tired?"

"As long as you’re happy, that’s all that matters." Lu Jinghan held Han Xi’s raised wrist, and his thin lips gave a gentle kiss on her lips.

After placing the bicycle, Lu Jinghan fetched small baskets from the tea farmers, slung one across his shoulder, and also helped Han Xi with one: "Let’s go."

"I want to take a photo as a memento."

As Han Xi spoke, she had already taken her phone from her jacket pocket, tiptoed, and kissed Lu Jinghan on the side of his face, gently pressing the screen to capture the moment.

Lu Jinghan lovingly nudged Han Xi’s head and, fingers intertwined, led her toward the endless tea fields ahead.

With the help of the tea farmers, they quickly learned how to pick tea. Han Xi bent down, carefully picking each leaf while Lu Jinghan sneakily snapped lots of photos of her on his phone. He then made a WeChat post with the caption: "May we find a heart to belong to, never to be apart till the end of our days."

In a matter of minutes, the comments on Lu Jinghan’s post were exploding. Among them, Li Manman’s was the most envious, as Feng Yi was still upset with her about last night’s incident. Seeing these two flaunting their love exacerbated her envy.

After finishing tea picking, Han Xi was sweating, so Lu Jinghan helped her take off the small basket: "Let’s rest at the pavilion up ahead."

Han Xi nodded, smiling as she hooked her arm around Lu Jinghan’s: "Thank you for bringing me out to have fun. I’m really happy."

"Why are you so easily satisfied?"

"Because you’re here. You’re my greatest satisfaction."

"Silly girl..."

The two of them sat on the bamboo bench in the pavilion, and Lu Jinghan lifted his hand to tuck Han Xi’s falling hair behind her ear: "I’ll go buy you a bottle of water. Wait here for me."

"Okay."

Watching Lu Jinghan leave, Han Xi took out her phone from her jacket pocket and casually browsed through WeChat Moments. Suddenly, she saw the post made by Lu Jinghan, and her heart felt warm.

She re-read the line with a smile on her lips: "May we find a heart to belong to, never to be apart till the end of our days."
