Chapter 484 - 499: Who Allowed You to Come Uninvited?

The group took the elevator together to the surgery floor, and as soon as they stepped out, they saw many foreign patients in the corridor. Han Xi and the others changed into their scrubs and went straight into the operating room. The families of the patients in the hallway were also all injured. The nurses bandaged their wounds one by one before moving on to other tasks.

Han Xi was busy in the operating room until dusk before she came out, and the family members hurried over to ask about the situation.

Han Xi wearily removed her mask and spoke to them in fluent English, saying all the patients had been resuscitated and they could be at ease.

After changing her clothes, Han Xi glanced at her phone, which showed a series of missed calls from Lu Jinghan. She dialed back as she got into the elevator.

"Jinghan, I was just in the operating room and didn’t have my phone with me."

Lu Jinghan was already at the hospital entrance. Having called Han Xi earlier without an answer, he was worried something might have happened. He called Li Manman and Chu Ci as well, and it was Chu Ci who told him Han Xi was at the hospital.

"I’m at the hospital entrance; you can just come down."

"Okay, I got it."

After hanging up, Han Xi walked out of the elevator, tightened her coat around herself, and ran towards Lu Jinghan’s car.

Once inside the car, Han Xi sat in the passenger seat and buckled her seatbelt. "How did you know I was at the hospital?"

"I asked Chu Ci. Are you tired? Maybe we shouldn’t go out to dinner with them tonight."

"I’m fine. We’ve already agreed, so let’s go."

Lu Jinghan reached over to gently tousle Han Xi’s hair before turning the steering wheel and merging onto the main road.

Han Xi was mostly silent on the drive; she was so exhausted that she nearly fell asleep leaning against the passenger seat.

The car quickly stopped at the restaurant entrance, and Lu Jinghan got out, holding Han Xi’s hand as they walked inside.

The manager in the lobby warmly greeted Lu Jinghan and pressed the elevator button for them before walking away.

When the two pushed the door open and walked into the private room, everyone was already there. Han Xi’s gaze fell on Lin Feng, who was sitting on the sofa, and her expression noticeably darkened.

Lu Jinghan helped Han Xi take off her coat and casually draped it over the back of a chair. "Let me introduce our good friend, Lin Feng."

Lin Feng smiled faintly at Han Xi and nodded, a nearly imperceptible hint of disdain in his eyes.

"Now that everyone is here, I’ll ask the server to bring the food." Feng Yi said with a cheerful smile.

"Let’s wait a moment; one more person hasn’t arrived yet."

Lin Feng toyed with a lighter as he got up from the sofa, his gaze falling on Han Xi. "Miss Han, pleasure to meet you."

Han Xi darkly nodded her head, not intending to speak to him.

Lu Jinghan naturally noticed Han Xi’s mood and looked up at Lin Feng. "I haven’t even introduced my wife to you yet."

"I had coffee with Miss Han in the mall earlier this morning," Lin Feng said casually, showing no fear of Lu Jinghan knowing he had met with Han Xi.

Just as Chu Ci frowned and was about to speak up, Su Luo pushed open the private room door from outside. "Sorry, I was late because of traffic."

"Who invited you here without permission?"

Li Manman put down her phone, stood up, her face full of disdain.

"I invited Luo Luo," Lin Feng walked over and pulled Su Luo to sit next to Lu Jinghan. "Today’s a reunion for our comrades, so of course, we can’t do without Luo Luo."
