Chapter 459 - 473: Your sister knows my identity, didn’t she tell you?

"Quickly check her injuries?" Liao Tingxiao took off his jacket and walked worriedly to the bedside.Su Luo placed the medicine box on the bedside table: "Please go out for a moment; I need to undress Miss Liao to examine her injuries."

Liao Tingxiao nodded, signaling Zhang Chao to leave together.

After stepping out of the room, Liao Tingxiao stood in the corridor, lit a cigarette, took a few puffs, extinguished the cigarette butt, and went to Han Xi’s bedroom. "Xiao Xi, have you had dinner yet?"

Hearing the voice, Han Xi raised her head, trying to calm her anxious emotions: "Not yet."

Liao Tingxiao sat down beside Han Xi, his eyes falling on the wound on her neck: "Does it still hurt?"

Han Xi shifted back to maintain some distance from him: "I just saw your sister seemed injured?"

"Yes, Doctor Wang is helping her check the injuries."

"Can I go over to take a look?"

Han Xi didn’t want to be alone with Liao Tingxiao. Besides, Doctor Wang was in Liao Tingting’s room, having him there felt more reassuring.

Liao Tingxiao nodded: "Go ahead."

Han Xi stood up from the sofa, put on the coat lying on the bed, and went out.

When she pushed the door open and walked into Liao Tingting’s bedroom, Su Luo was bandaging her wound.

"Doctor Wang, is there anything I can do to help?"

Su Luo turned around and looked at Han Xi, speaking politely: "No, Miss Han, please wait on the sofa over there."

Han Xi nodded and walked to the large floor-to-ceiling window, where she saw Lu Jinghan sneaking into the courtyard with a group of people.

The five or six of them swiftly took down the guards at the door, opened the gate, and let the others in.

When Lu Jinghan looked up, he saw Han Xi standing at the floor-to-ceiling window.

When their eyes met in the air, Han Xi couldn’t help but shed tears.

For so many days, she had yearned day and night for the man standing there; Han Xi wished she could rush out and embrace him immediately.

Lu Jinghan smiled at Han Xi and tried to discreetly take out all of Liao Tingxiao’s men without revealing himself.

Only when she couldn’t see Lu Jinghan’s figure did Han Xi raise her hand to wipe away her tears, then turned to walk beside Su Luo, using her eyes to signal that Lu Jinghan had come to rescue them.

Su Luo nodded in understanding; she had deliberately delayed wrapping Liao Tingting’s wounds, thinking that if Liao Tingxiao discovered anything amiss, at least she and Han Xi could hold Liao Tingting hostage for self-protection.

On the bed, Liao Tingting kept moaning in pain, unaware of the tension between Han Xi and Su Luo.

In the hall, Liao Tingxiao and Zhang Chao heard noises outside, exchanged a wary glance, and each pulled a gun from their lower back, indicating for others to go check.

Before they could leave the hall, Lu Jinghan broke in with his group, and after a burst of gunfire, all of Liao Tingxiao’s men were taken out.

Lu Jinghan pointed his gun at Liao Tingxiao’s head, his piercing voice carrying a frigid chill: "Your men are merely so-so."

"Lu Jinghan, with such skill, I suspect you’re not just a simple businessman."

Liao Tingxiao’s mouth formed a subtle, fleeting smile, but it didn’t reach his eyes.

"I was undercover beside your father; it was I who led the task to eliminate your trafficking organization years ago. Your sister knows my identity. Didn’t she tell you?"
