Zhuang Lian happily accepted and even asked if she could come to the hospital to hang out with Han Xi now, saying she’d been cooped up in Song Yan’s villa all morning and was quite bored.
Considering she had no surgeries that afternoon, Han Xi told her to come on over.
After hanging up, Zhuang Lian changed clothes upstairs and then took a taxi to the hospital.
Han Xi was watching a surgery video sent over by friends from the United States, when there was a knock on her office door.
"Come in."
"Sister Xiao Xi, am I interrupting your work?"
Han Xi looked up at the incoming Zhuang Lian, tucking a few stray bangs behind her ear with a gentle smile: "Not at all, I have nothing to do right now. Do you want me to help get my brother to come over too?"
"No need, I just called him but he didn’t pick up, he must be busy. Let’s not disturb him."
