Chapter 391 - 404: Sometimes Missing Out Could Really Mean a Lifetime

The car slowly got onto the main road, Chu Ci turned his head to look at the street view rapidly receding outside the window, his mind a mess."Call me when you’re done shopping, I’ll come pick you up and take you home."

Fu Bin held the steering wheel with one hand, a hint of a smile flickering in his deep black eyes.

"Got it."

A dozen minutes later, the car stopped at the hospital entrance, and Fu Bin watched Chu Ci enter the hospital before driving away.

When she pushed open the door to Han Xi’s office, Li Manman was already sitting on the sofa playing with her phone.

"Why are you here by yourself, where’s Xiao Xi?" Chu Ci took off her coat and sat down in front of the sofa too. Follow current ɴᴏᴠᴇʟs on novel•fire.net

"She was just called away by a nurse, she’ll probably be back soon."

Li Manman put down her phone, smiled with a gossipy look at Chu Ci: "You and Fu Bin are living under the same roof every day, have any sparks flown between you two?"

"No."

Chu Ci didn’t want to tell Manman, it’s just there are some things she hasn’t settled on herself yet.

"Actually, Fu Bin is pretty good, he’s handsome with a good background, and the key thing is he cares about the kid in your belly, consider it."

Chu Ci smiled lightly, not particularly wanting to talk about things between her and Fu Bin: "Alright, stop worrying about me, or you’ll wrinkle your forehead."

Han Xi finished her work and pushed open the door to come in, putting the file she held on the desk: "What are we going to eat later? I’m starving."

"Let’s have Japanese food, there’s a place near the mall, and after we eat we can go shopping directly."

"Sure."

Han Xi took off her white coat and put on her overcoat, casually flipping her hair out: "Let’s go."

The three of them came out of the office together, got in the elevator, and went to the basement parking lot where they got into Li Manman’s car.

Han Xi sat sideways on the back seat, raised her hand to touch Chu Ci’s no longer flat belly: "You seem to have gained weight."

"I’ve gained a full seven pounds, Aunt Li is cooking different dishes for me every day, and there’s no work stress now, it’s no wonder I’m gaining weight."

Chu Ci leaned her hand on the glass window, she felt she might remain carefree until having the baby, surely becoming a fatty.

Li Manman, in the driver’s seat, laughed insensibly: "No matter how you plump up, Fu Bin has to, since you’re the mom of his kid."

"I think so too."

"Has Fu Bin bribed you two? Why are you all speaking for him?"

Han Xi gently smiled at Chu Ci: "We’re just thinking that Fu Bin really cares about you and the child and want you to consider it seriously, after all, not all men are unreliable."

Li Manman parked the car in front of the restaurant, turned her head and spoke seriously: "If he were a scumbag why would he rush to take responsibility, friendly advice to think about it, sometimes missing a chance could really mean a lifetime."

"I’ll think about it, let’s hurry and get out, so hungry."

"Yes, yes, let’s get out, can’t starve my son."

The three of them got out of the car together, chatting and laughing as they walked into the restaurant, immediately seeing Qin Mi there too.

"Sis-in-law, what a coincidence you’re eating here too."

Qin Mi hooked arms with a middle-aged woman, smiling and walking towards Chu Ci.

Actually, Chu Ci wasn’t happy about Qin Mi calling her sis-in-law in public, since she and Fu Bin weren’t in that sort of relationship.

"I’m here with Xiao Xi and the others for a meal."
