Chapter 355 - 368: Someone Sent You Flowers?
Seeing Li Manman’s look of deep bitterness, Chu Ci almost couldn’t hold back his laughter. After eating, Han Xi worriedly reminded Chu Ci of many things to pay attention to, all of which she had asked about in the gynecology department this morning.
After speaking, she glanced at the watch on her wrist, "I have to go to work. Remember to go for a check-up at the hospital tomorrow."
"Okay, I know, you’re almost like my mom now."
Li Manman nodded in agreement, holding back a laugh, "I’ll take you to the hospital."
Han Xi glared at Li Manman, and the two left together.
Back at the hospital, as soon as Han Xi stepped out of the elevator, the head nurse came over to tell her that Doctor Wang needed to take leave for a few days, and asked Han Xi to help look after a few of his patients.
Han Xi smiled and nodded in agreement, taking the patient data handed over by the head nurse before entering the office.
After changing into her white coat, Han Xi sat at the desk to review the patient data before heading to the wards.
She pushed open the door of the VIP ward and walked in, looking at the person on the bed, "Aren’t you the one from yesterday..."
"Hello Doctor Han, my name is Liao Tingxiao. Thank you for your unwavering help yesterday."
Liao Tingxiao’s lips curved into an attractive arc; compared to yesterday, he looked much better in health, with well-defined features under his thick short hair, exuding a dignified and powerful aura.
Liao Tingxiao was dressed in neat suit trousers and a white shirt, with the top two buttons undone at the collar, revealing a refined Adam’s apple.
"At that time, I was just worried you might be in danger from excessive blood loss, I didn’t think too much."
Han Xi smiled softly and leaned down, "Let me check your wound."
"Okay."
Han Xi lifted Liao Tingxiao’s clothes and carefully examined the wound, "It’s alright, remember to rest more, and since Doctor Wang who was looking after you is on leave for a few days, just call me if you need anything."
He glanced at the badge on Han Xi’s clothing, his lips curving into a slight smile, "Can I call you Han Xi?"
"You better call me Doctor Han."
Han Xi glanced at the watch on her wrist, "I have other things to attend to, remember to call me if you feel uncomfortable."
"Okay, I got it."
Returning to the office, Han Xi saw a large bouquet of lilies on the desk, and smiling sweetly, she picked up the flowers thinking they were from Lu Jinghan.
Opening the small card inside, it read: Han Xi, thank you for saving me yesterday.
Han Xi froze for a moment, the only person that came to mind was just now, Liao Tingxiao.
Without thinking further, she found a vase and arranged the flowers.
In the evening, Lu Jinghan came to pick up Han Xi after work, but a patient needed attention at the last minute, so Han Xi called Lu Jinghan asking him to wait for a while.
Lu Jinghan hung up the phone and stepped out of the car, striding towards the hospital.
Exiting the elevator, he went straight to Han Xi’s office, waiting there for nearly half an hour before she returned.
"Jinghan, when did you come up?"
Han Xi took off the white coat, picked up her overcoat and put it on.
Upon hearing her voice, Lu Jinghan stubbed out the cigarette in his hand, closing the slightly open window, "Did someone send you flowers?"
Lu Jinghan replied with a question instead, with a hint of displeasure on his face.
Han Xi glanced at the bouquet of lilies on the table, nodding straightforwardly, "Yes, it’s from the person I rescued at the mall yesterday; he happened to be at our hospital, so he sent it as a thank-you."
