Chapter 154 154: UNCONTAINABLE
Chapter 154 154: UNCONTAINABLE
Jin's fist collided with Raito's open palm midair.
BOOM!
The shockwave tore across the rooftop, shattering nearby walls and ripping chunks of concrete into the air. Windows burst. Steel screamed.
Every hunter froze.
Every high‑level observer flinched.
Raito didn't move.
Not an inch.
Not a breath.
Not even a blink.
Raito's grin widened—lightning flashing behind his eyes.
With a smooth twist of his body, he drove his heel straight into Jin's chest.
CRACK!
The wind itself shredded as Jin was launched skyward, spinning helplessly, his body tumbling like a broken marionette pulled by invisible strings.
Chichiro's breath caught in her throat.
"What… what kind of power is that?" she whispered.
"He's not even trying—and Jin is flying!"
Jin descended, blood leaking from the corner of his mouth. He spat it aside, fury burning through the disbelief in his eyes.
Raito stepped forward.
Each footstep fractured the rooftop, glowing cracks spider‑webbing beneath him. His aura surged—green and gold, vast and suffocating, like a storm descending on the world.
Jin roared and charged again.
Lightning wrapped around his arms. His red aura burned violently as he poured everything he had into a single punch—aimed straight at Raito's face.
The punch landed.
…And Raito didn't flinch.
Not a twitch.
He caught Jin's fist between two fingers.
Lifted him off the ground.
And pushed.
Jin's head snapped back as his body was hurled upward again, screaming as gravity, balance—even his own will—betrayed him.
Raito's voice was calm. Almost bored.
"Is that all you've got?"
He didn't move faster.
He didn't strike harder.
Time, space, and strength bent around him. Every attack was already seen. Already answered.
Chichiro trembled.
"He… he hasn't taken a single injury. Not one."
Jiro's voice cracked.
"Stop! Stop now! He's beyond anything we've ever imagined!"
Jin struggled midair, swinging wildly—every movement useless.
"You just made yourself my punching bag," Raito said softly.
Then—
He stepped forward.
His fists blurred.
Each strike landed perfectly—precise, merciless, unavoidable. Jin tried to counter, tried to react—
Too slow.
The rooftop convulsed. The air screamed. Debris detonated outward.
"This is getting boring," Raito said flatly.
Jin's mind raced. Calculations. Desperation.
Still too slow.
Raito raised his hand.
No stance.
No warning.
No hesitation.
He punched.
BOOM!
The air detonated.
Jin's body didn't just fly—it exploded forward, smashing through one building… then another… then another.
Seven buildings collapsed in sequence as his body tore through steel, concrete, and glass like a shattered missile.
When he finally hit the ground—
No bounce.
Just a crater.
Bones crushed.
Blood soaked the pavement.
Jin was already unconscious.
Above them, the helicopter hovered.
The camera rolled.
The reporter's hands shook—but the broadcast never cut.
Raito turned casually toward Jiro, as if nothing had happened.
"When did you get here?" Raito asked.
"And why are you here?"
Jiro exhaled slowly, staring at the devastation.
"It was only a matter of time," he said. "They figured out I knew who you were."
He shook his head.
"I didn't expect you to cause this much destruction."
"We should turn back."
Raito's eyes narrowed slightly.
"Turn back?"
"After I've come this far?"
"There are still nine hunters left," Jiro said firmly. "The top nine. If they move together—they'll attack you."
Chichiro stepped forward.
"I already spoke to them. They promised they wouldn't—"
"Chichiro," Jiro interrupted gently.
"You're too kind."
She froze.
"They told you that to bait him," he continued. "They wanted to lower his guard. Use you to do it."
"No…" she whispered. "That's not true."
Raito smirked.
"True or not—it doesn't matter," he said.
"They don't stand a chance."
Jiro studied him carefully.
"Do you really think I'm weaker than them?"
Raito met his gaze.
"Honestly?"
"No."
Jiro nodded once.
"Then listen carefully," he said.
"I didn't come here because of you."
Raito tilted his head.
"I came because the world is watching."
He pointed skyward.
"Those cameras. That broadcast. People are watching you dismantle top‑tier hunters like they're nothing."
His voice dropped.
"If you keep going, this stops being self‑defense."
"You'll be labeled a national threat."
He paused.
"No—an international one."
Silence fell.
Wind howled through broken towers. Sirens echoed from afar.
"This is reality," Jiro said.
"And reality doesn't care how strong you are."
Raito's aura flared violently, lightning crawling across the rooftop.
"Then I guess," he said calmly,
"I'll show them what reality really is."
"You have to stop!" Jiro shouted.
Raito didn't turn.
"When everything became public," Raito said quietly,
"my plans, my goals—it felt like they shattered right in front of me."
"I wanted to be the strongest. Strong enough to protect. I thought power could stop suffering."
He clenched his fist.
"Kira… I won't pretend she's my friend."
He paused.
"But she's the reason my power awakened. The reason I kept moving forward."
His eyes darkened.
"And now she's suffering because of me."
"That's the worst part."
The wind passed between them.
Jiro smiled faintly.
"Alright," he said.
"I get it."
"I won't stop you."
Raito turned at last.
"Take me to them," he said to Chichiro.
She hesitated—then nodded.
"But promise me one thing," she said softly.
"You won't fight. They'll test you."
Raito's gaze was steady.
"As long as they hand her over," he said,
"and don't play games with me—"
"I won't fight."
Chichiro exhaled in relief.
"Then that's fine," she said softly.
And together, they moved forward.
They moved forward to the edge of the skyscraper roof.
"We're going back inside, right?" Raito asked.
She nodded.
"Give me your hand!" he commanded.
He grabbed her waist firmly, steady and unshakable.
Then, without warning, Raito leapt off the edge of the skyscraper, carrying her with him.
Chichiro screamed, the sound piercing the wind as they plummeted together.
They burst through the jagged shards of glass he had shattered earlier, shards scattering around them in a shower of steel and concrete.
Raito held her tightly, guiding their descent with inhuman precision. The skyscraper roof and shattered edges disappeared behind them as the city blurred below.
