Chapter 418 - 408: Those Who Block Me Shall Die!

Chapter 418 - 408: Those Who Block Me Shall Die!

"Did you bring them here to stabilize the situation?" the middle-aged man asked, his back still to Qin Fan.

"That’s irrelevant. Were you waiting for me?" Qin Fan’s lips curled into a playful smirk. "By the way, I don’t like it when people put on airs with their back turned to me. I’m afraid I won’t be able to resist killing you."

"Hahaha! You’ve got quite the personality. You’re truly worthy of the title ’young Grandmaster’!" The middle-aged man laughed heartily before slowly turning around.

It was Hua Xiaotian.

"The legendary number one expert in Huaxia, Hua Xiaotian?" Qin Fan hummed mockingly, meeting Hua Xiaotian’s serene gaze.

"You know me?" Hua Xiaotian asked, surprised.

"I’ve heard of you. But now that I see you, the title ’number one expert in Huaxia’ seems rather inflated. Honestly, I thought the much-hyped War God would be impressive, but you’re just so-so," Qin Fan said, shaking his head with disdain as his eyes pierced through Hua Xiaotian’s Martial Arts Cultivation.

Compared to the auras of the five Valley Guardian Elders from Medicine Valley, Hua Xiaotian was indeed slightly stronger, but this so-called strength was limited. If the five Valley Guardian Elders were at the half-step Gang Realm, then Hua Xiaotian had, at best, just touched the threshold, still stuck at a bottleneck on the verge of a breakthrough.

Before forming his Golden Core, facing Hua Xiaotian would have been a tough fight. But now, even the five great elders of Medicine Valley had to be utterly respectful and fearful in his presence. A mere Hua Xiaotian wasn’t even worth his attention.

"Am I that weak in your eyes? Hahaha!" Hua Xiaotian laughed heartily, his eyes brimming with the desire to fight.

"Honestly, saying I’d kill you like a dog is a bit of an exaggeration, but you are not my opponent. So, put away that fighting spirit in your eyes. Otherwise, I guarantee you’ll regret it," Qin Fan said, shaking his head lightly.

"Is that so? Let’s find out! I hope Master Qin shows mercy!"

As he spoke, Hua Xiaotian’s aura exploded outward. He unleashed the full, unrestrained power of his peak half-step Gang Jin. The very air on the hospital’s first floor seemed to freeze solid.

Hua Xiaotian let out a wild laugh.

His figure shot forward like a blur. In the blink of an eye, his massive fist was right in front of Qin Fan.

In response, Qin Fan just gave a faint, indifferent smirk. Without even waiting for his Prison Suppressing Body to activate on its own, the True Qi in his body surged as he swiftly clenched his fist to meet the attack head-on.

BOOM!

Their fists collided.

In the shocking clash of power, the two trash cans by the elevator behind Qin Fan exploded into the air. Paper and debris flew everywhere, leaving the entire hospital lobby in a complete mess.

And this was merely the shockwave generated by a single casual exchange between the two. What kind of scene would unfold if they truly began to fight? It was no wonder that experts always chose to fight in wide-open spaces; there was a good reason for it.

SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!

Amidst the swirling debris, their fists remained locked in a stalemate.

Three seconds later, Hua Xiaotian pulled his fist back, stumbling three consecutive steps before he managed to regain his footing.

In this probing exchange, Hua Xiaotian was utterly defeated.

"How is this possible!!!"

Stumbling to a halt, Hua Xiaotian lost his composure and cried out in shock. He had thought Qin Fan would be formidable and difficult to deal with, but he had never imagined he would be this outrageously powerful.

He hadn’t held back with that punch at all. Yet he was repelled by Qin Fan’s calm and effortless response? Worse, it looked like Qin Fan hadn’t even used his full strength. The thought was terrifying! In terms of talent, even his master at the summit of Kunlun Mountain had praised him profusely. He had been immersed in the world of Martial Arts for twenty or thirty years longer than Qin Fan. And while he knew the title ’number one expert in Huaxia’ was mostly hype, it still reflected his extraordinary status in the Martial Arts World. And yet... he had been so thoroughly defeated by Qin Fan? He couldn’t believe it. He refused to believe it!

"Let’s talk. Your purpose wasn’t just to test me, was it? The reason I could deal with the Du Family so easily, without any interference... that had something to do with you, didn’t it?" Qin Fan asked, shaking his head and not following Hua Xiaotian’s train of thought.

Taking a few deep breaths to calm his turbulent emotions, Hua Xiaotian followed Qin Fan’s lead and asked, "What would you have done if you had faced obstructions?"

"Those who block me die," Qin Fan declared without a second thought.

"You’re insane!" Hua Xiaotian couldn’t help but shout.

"Yes, which is why you made a wise decision by calling off the trash that was tailing me. If they had tried to stop me, then I’m sorry, but I would have definitely done some downsizing for your Guardian Institute. As for the police and military forces in Demon City, you did well to keep them in check. It avoided a great deal of unnecessary trouble," Qin Fan said with a shrug and an indifferent smile.

Those who block me die. Insane? Not at all. Having returned to this life, why would Qin Fan willingly bind himself with rules and regulations again? On other matters, he might not have bothered with such fly-like nuisances. But when it came to exterminating the Du Family, anyone who stood in his way would die. The so-called law of the land was nonexistent to him.

Faced with Qin Fan’s incredibly arrogant words, Hua Xiaotian was first stunned, then broke into a helpless, bitter smile.

"So, I should be glad that I indulged your disregard for the law?"

"I’ll just say you made a good choice after weighing the pros and cons," Qin Fan stated. He waved a hand dismissively. "Alright, enough pointless chatter. What did you come here for?"

Hearing the sharpness leave Qin Fan’s voice, Hua Xiaotian adjusted his own emotions slightly. He looked Qin Fan straight in the eye and said solemnly, "Someone wants to meet you."

Someone wants to meet me? And they’re using Hua Xiaotian as their go-between?

Qin Fan frowned. "Who?"

"My master."

"Your master?"

"Yes, my master. Without him, the Hua Xiaotian you see today would not exist. I probably would have starved to death in some corner long ago. Master Qin, after my master learned of your existence, he urged me several times to bring you to him. I’ve been looking for the right opportunity to approach you, and I feel the time is finally right," Hua Xiaotian explained.

"Is that why you made me owe you one?" Qin Fan asked with a derisive laugh.

"Yes. This was the only way I could be sure you’d agree to come with me and satisfy the old man’s wish," Hua Xiaotian admitted, making no effort to hide his intentions.

"If he wants to meet me, why doesn’t he come himself? Or does he think he’s so important that I should be the one to pay him a personal visit?" Qin Fan’s words were laced with scorn. He hated people who put on airs and acted high and mighty.

Hearing the displeasure in Qin Fan’s tone, Hua Xiaotian paused. He then let out a deep breath and said gravely, "Because the old man is blind. It’s not convenient for him to come down the mountain."
