Chapter 309: New Machine!!
Chapter 309: New Machine!!
The next morning at the Pearl Villa felt unusually noisy.
Not because of Hope and Asher this time.
But because a massive truck had entered through the front gates early in the morning.
Everyone had gathered outside curiously.
Even the staff members nearby kept glancing toward the large vehicle parked in front of the mansion.
The twins stood closest to the truck with sparkling eyes.
Hope held Elena’s hand while trying to peek around the workers.
Asher practically bounced in excitement.
Elena looked toward Monica beside her.
"Do you know about this?"
Monica folded her arms thoughtfully.
"I honestly don’t."
"Maybe boss ordered something."
Asher gasped dramatically.
"Big broo did?"
"Then it has to be something cool!"
Hope rubbed her stomach sadly.
"I am hungry mama..."
"Where is big broo?"
Daniel chuckled softly.
"He was taking a shower."
At that moment...
The back doors of the truck slowly opened.
Several workers stepped out carefully.
Then they began unloading an enormous wooden crate.
Asher’s jaw dropped instantly.
"It’s so big..."
Even Daniel became curious now.
"What exactly is inside that thing?"
One of the delivery men wiped sweat from his forehead before answering politely.
"We honestly do not know sir."
"We only picked it up from the port."
"It arrived all the way from Italy."
Italy.
That alone made everyone even more curious.
Then...
The front door of the villa opened.
Miles walked outside casually while adjusting his sleeves.
His slightly damp hair showed he had just finished showering.
"Why is everyone gathered here?"
Then he noticed the crate.
A smile slowly appeared on his face.
"Oh."
"It arrived."
The delivery man quickly stepped forward.
"Mr. Sterling."
"We have delivered your package safely."
Miles nodded warmly.
"Thank you."
"Really appreciate it."
Then he looked toward Monica.
"Monica."
"Yes boss."
Without another word Monica pulled out cash and handed generous tips to all the workers.
The men looked stunned for a second.
Then grateful smiles appeared instantly.
One of them hurriedly handed over a business card.
"Thank you so much sir."
"If you ever need transportation or delivery services again..."
"Please call us."
Miles smiled lightly.
"I will."
The workers bowed respectfully before leaving.
As the truck slowly drove away...
Elena looked at her son with amusement.
"Well..."
"You definitely made someone’s morning happier."
Miles chuckled softly.
"I will be happy when I open this."
"I only shared the happiness beforehand."
Daniel crossed his arms while staring at the giant crate.
"Now I am genuinely curious."
Miles smirked.
"Let me show you father."
Then he walked toward the garage and returned carrying tools.
The twins followed him immediately like excited little assistants.
Miles grabbed a wrecking bar and started opening the crate carefully.
Wooden slabs cracked one after another.
Nails popped loose.
The sound echoed across the driveway.
Then...
A black protective covering became visible beneath the wooden frame.
Hope’s eyes widened.
Asher moved closer instantly.
Miles slowly pulled away the plastic covering.
And then...
Everyone finally saw it.
A brand new bike.
The sunlight reflected beautifully across its body.
The bike looked less like a vehicle...
And more like a machine built for speed itself.
The sharp aerodynamic design gave it an aggressive appearance.
Its carbon fiber body shimmered with deep black textures beneath the red Ducati finish.
The sleek frame looked unbelievably lightweight yet powerful.
Golden front forks added elegance to its dangerous look.
The winglets near the sides made it appear almost futuristic.
The seat sat low and sharp.
The exhaust system looked like a beast waiting to roar awake.
Even standing still...
The motorcycle carried an overwhelming presence.
Asher looked completely stunned.
"It’s a bike..."
"It looks..."
Hope finished the sentence dramatically.
"Very cool."
Even Monica looked slightly impressed despite herself.
Daniel slowly nodded while observing the details carefully.
"It’s a Ducati right?"
Miles looked genuinely excited now.
"Yes."
"It’s the Ducati Superleggera V4."
"It was launched only a few months ago."
Everyone quietly admired the motorcycle again.
Monica sighed dramatically.
"Aunt..."
"Your child got himself another toy."
"Lets just have breakfast."
Elena burst into laughter.
"There are already so many cars in the parking."
"And he still bought a bike."
Miles immediately defended himself.
"Mom..."
"This is not just a bike."
"It’s very cool."
"There is not even one in the entire city yet."
"And they are extremely hard to get."
Elena smiled warmly while looking at his excited expression.
"I am happy for you son."
Daniel nodded too.
"It really is beautiful."
Then Miles looked toward Daniel.
"Want to ride it?"
Daniel laughed instantly.
"My bike riding days are over."
"You enjoy it son."
Miles shook his head dramatically.
"You say it like you are becoming old."
Monica looked toward him knowingly.
"So this is why you are not going to work today."
Miles pointed at her immediately.
"Yes."
"You told me to take a break last night, remember?"
Monica smirked proudly.
"At least you listen sometimes."
Elena clapped her hands lightly.
"Enough."
"Lets have breakfast first."
"The children are getting late for school."
Miles nodded.
"Right."
"Lets eat."
Everyone slowly began walking back toward the villa.
But before entering...
Asher suddenly tugged Miles’ sleeve.
"Big bro..."
"Will you take me for a ride someday?"
Hope instantly raised her hand too.
"Me too!"
Miles smiled warmly at both of them.
"Of course."
"But first..."
"You two need to grow taller."
"Otherwise the cops will stop us."
Asher froze.
"How do I grow taller big bro?"
Miles immediately pointed toward Elena.
"That..."
"Mom will explain."
Asher instantly ran toward her.
"Mama!"
"Mama tell us!"
Hope followed behind him excitedly.
Elena laughed softly while opening the door.
"You have to eat vegetables."
Asher stopped walking immediately.
"Hunn??"
Miles nodded seriously beside him.
"Yes."
"Lots of vegetables."
The twins looked completely betrayed.
And everyone burst into laughter.
Breakfast ended peacefully at the Pearl Villa.
The twins hurried toward the entrance with their school bags while Daniel waited beside the car keys in his hand.
Hope quickly stuffed the last bite of sandwich into her mouth.
Asher looked toward Miles dramatically.
"Big broo..."
"You promised bike ride."
Miles chuckled while sipping coffee.
"And you promised vegetables."
Asher instantly became silent.
Hope burst into laughter.
Daniel shook his head helplessly.
"Lets go you two or you will be late."
The twins rushed toward the door.
"Bye mama!"
"Bye big broo!"
"Bye big sis Mona!"
Monica waved while checking messages on her tablet.
"Good day little monsters."
Daniel smiled toward Miles and Elena once before leaving with the twins.
Soon...
The villa became quieter.
Monica also stood up from the dining chair.
"I have work today."
"Alice is going crazy over game development meetings."
Miles smirked.
"You are enjoying it though."
Monica adjusted her coat calmly.
"Maybe."
Then she looked at him carefully.
"And don’t do anything reckless today."
Miles avoided eye contact immediately.
"I am always responsible."
Monica narrowed her eyes.
"That face says otherwise."
Elena laughed softly.
Monica finally left for work.
After everyone dispersed...
Miles slowly walked toward Timothy’s room.
The old man rested peacefully near the large window while morning sunlight entered softly through the curtains.
Miles adjusted the blanket slightly over him.
"Good morning grandpa..."
"I finally got a bike."
"You should have seen Asher’s face."
Timothy remained asleep peacefully.
Miles smiled faintly before leaving the room again.
A while later...
He walked downstairs wearing riding attire.
A fitted black riding jacket wrapped around his body cleanly while subtle carbon texture reflected light softly across the shoulders and sleeves.
Protective riding gloves covered his hands.
Dark riding jeans fitted perfectly with reinforced knee protection hidden inside.
Heavy black riding boots clicked against the marble floor as he walked.
His injuries had healed now.
The slight sharpness had returned to his movements.
Even the way he walked carried confidence again.
Elena looked at him carefully.
"You really look like one of those movie stars now."
Miles laughed softly.
"It’s just riding gear mom."
Elena stepped closer and adjusted his collar slightly like always.
"Careful on the roads."
"Be safe."
Miles smiled warmly.
"Yes mom."
He picked up the helmet and walked outside.
The Ducati stood there waiting beautifully under the sunlight.
Miles sat on the bike and slowly pressed the ignition.
The next second...
The Ducati roared alive.
The deep aggressive engine sound echoed through the entire neighborhood.
It was not merely loud.
It sounded powerful.
Like some mechanical beast waking up.
Even birds from nearby trees suddenly flew away.
Miles smirked slightly behind the helmet.
The villa gates slowly opened.
And the Ducati shot out smoothly onto the road.
The rich neighborhood immediately noticed.
People walking outside turned toward the sound instantly.
One elderly man stared wide eyed.
"What do the owners of that villa even do anyways?"
A nearby woman shook her head slowly.
"Who knows..."
"They are so rich..."
The Ducati glided across the roads beautifully.
People looked toward the bike everywhere it passed.
Some admired the machine.
Others admired the rider.
Miles directly rode toward Sterling Private Security Base today.
He had no plans for office work.
Today...
He wanted combat training.
The Ducati entered the massive security compound smoothly.
Instant whispers spread across the training grounds.
"Is that boss?"
"He looks so cool with that bike..."
"Imagine riding a bike with the boss..."
"Her girlfriend is so lucky..."
"Does he even have a girlfriend?"
"How can such a handsome man be single?"
Miles parked the bike carefully and lowered the stand.
Then he slowly removed the helmet.
Several recruits looked almost stunned.
Miles casually walked toward the training ground.
The trainer instantly shouted loudly.
"Attention agents!"
The entire ground straightened instantly.
Miles stepped forward calmly.
"Good morning agents."
"Good morning boss!" everyone replied together loudly.
Miles looked across the training ground proudly.
"I am very happy to see that all of you take your training seriously."
"With recent incidents..."
"Sterling Private Security has increased its client base almost fifteen times."
A few recruits looked shocked hearing that.
Miles continued.
"This is a very big achievement for a company which started just months ago."
"Large events."
"Big personalities."
"Private contracts."
"Sterling Security is everywhere now."
"Your hard work and dedication are commendable."
"Thank you for your hard work."
The agents looked visibly motivated.
Miles folded his arms.
"There are many new recruits today."
"Starting tomorrow..."
"Every senior agent will get one new recruit as a buddy."
"Guide them wisely."
"Am I clear?"
"Yes sir!" everyone answered loudly.
Miles nodded.
"Anyone facing any problems?"
"Any bullying at work?"
His eyes sharpened slightly.
"Especially female agents?"
"No sir!" everyone answered again.
Miles relaxed slightly.
"At ease everyone."
The atmosphere instantly loosened.
Miles walked toward the building.
Charles came outside first.
"Good morning boss."
"Morning Charles."
Charles looked toward Miles carefully.
"I think you should not involve in combat right now."
"Your ribs are still healing."
Miles sighed.
"My ribs are okay Charles."
"I don’t really want to get rusty."
Then he smiled lightly.
"Thanks for worrying."
"I promise I will take care."
"And do me a favor."
Charles straightened immediately.
"Anything boss."
Miles looked around once.
"Don’t tell Monica that I am here."
Charles instantly understood.
A helpless smile appeared on his face.
"I won’t boss."
The rest of the day passed actively.
Miles personally practiced hand to hand combat with recruits.
Knife disarming techniques.
Close range counters.
Defensive movements.
Even experienced agents struggled to keep up with him despite his recovery period.
The recruits admired him even more after seeing him fight personally.
He corrected their stances patiently.
Explained movement timing.
Showed how hesitation gets people killed.
And unlike most bosses...
He trained alongside them.
By afternoon...
The entire training ground atmosphere felt highly motivated.
Charles stood nearby observing proudly.
"They are highly motivated now."
Then he remembered something.
"Boss..."
"I have another news for you."
Miles wiped sweat from his hands with a towel.
"Tell me."
Charles crossed his arms.
"Remember that street lamp accident?"
"The culprit was caught."
"Mayor is personally looking at the case."
Miles nodded lightly.
"Great."
"At least he knows his responsibility."
Charles laughed quietly.
"More like he was afraid of you."
"We sent Townhall an official mail regarding the matter."
"And they were terrified."
Miles looked genuinely confused.
"Hunn?"
"Who do they think I am?"
"A politician?"
Charles chuckled.
"Believe me..."
"You can easily win the chair if you decide to compete."
Miles instantly shook his head.
"Politics?"
"Naah."
"My chair is enough and far better."
"Also..."
"I will lose General privileges if I join politics."
Charles laughed loudly this time.
Later...
Miles left the base riding the Ducati again.
The powerful engine sound echoed beautifully across Star Harbor roads.
The cool wind rushed against his jacket while the city moved around him peacefully.
At one intersection...
His eyes noticed a delivery rider standing beside the road.
The small bike looked broken down.
The young man looked stressed while checking the engine repeatedly.
Miles slowly stopped beside him.
"What’s the problem?"
The delivery boy looked up.
Then instantly froze seeing both Miles and the Ducati.
"Its..."
"Its Ducati Superleggera V4..."
Miles actually looked surprised.
"You know about it?"
The boy nodded excitedly.
"I do sir..."
"I am a bike enthusiast."
"I just don’t have money..."
Miles glanced toward the broken delivery bike.
"Did your bike break?"
The delivery boy sighed helplessly.
"Yes..."
"And I have an urgent food delivery."
Miles looked toward the delivery bag.
Then calmly said.
"Let me help."
"Get on."
The boy looked shocked.
"What really?"
"Can I?"
Miles nodded casually.
"Don’t think too much."
"You will be late for delivery."
The delivery boy looked unbelievably grateful.
"Thank you so much sir..."
Miles adjusted the bike slightly.
"What’s the address?"
The boy quickly checked his phone.
"It’s in Mars Residencies."
Miles paused slightly behind the helmet.
Mars Residencies...
Wasn’t that where many Tulip Corp employees were currently staying?
To be continued..
