Chapter 896: Telling Albert I’m His Brother
Chapter 896: Telling Albert I’m His Brother
Soon after I woke up and being told that I’m Shirley’s half-brother, the Spirit King put me to sleep again. If there’s anything important for me to know, they will tell me later.
Then after another good sleep, I woke up again feeling hungry. Then I instantly checked my body and the surrounding area.
I no longer being covered in ink. But I can still smell it slightly. Which means that Victoria drew doodles on me again, then she erased it before I woke up.
As for my surrounding, there are more heads than before. This time, the heads are people that I remembered. Not all of them. Just some.
And the difference between now and before, is that Sonia and the two spirits, Airy and Breezy are awake. I think they must been watching a bit of my past after I gained Divine Vision.
"It was a bit confusing after you gained Divine Vision, but we finally managed to finish watching everything," the Spirit King said.
"Not me, though. I never thought that I would be put into an illusion and went to sleep. You should have picked me to watch your past as well," Sonia complained to me who had just woken up.
"I tried negotiating with the Spirit King and get three people to watch my past. But I can only get two no matter what. So complain to the Spirit King instead of me," I said.
"I stopped using illusion magic on the ghost for a while already. Before even we watched you die. But she just slept and only woke up a while ago. She can only blame herself for sleeping in," the Spirit King said.
As for Airy and Breezy, they were playing around in the flower garden with other spirits. Though some of them were hiding inside a skull of someone who probably died here after entering the Spirit King’s illusion. That’s creepy.
If I didn’t wake up before, that could be my fate. Died here while being put under illusion.
"So, have you finished watching everything?" I asked.
"Yeah. To the point when you were under the illusion while forcing yourself to climb the mountain until your limbs ripped off. You’re crazy. Big Sis here is worried about you," Shirley said as she hugged me.
I never knew that she’s someone who loves to hug people. Or maybe because I’m a man, so she never tried to hug me. While she would hug other girls when they’re alone.
Though I still can’t think of her as a family member. She’s just Shirley to me. Though if I want to call her Big Sister, I’m fine with it. But whether I truly thought of her as my sister or not, I can’t answer.
It’s just crazy that I turned out to be a Prince. But I don’t want that status. I’ll make sure to stay as a commoner Roy who ended up becoming the King of monsters. Of several tribes of monsters. With a village.
...Wait, that makes me a Village Chief instead. Well, I’ll be the Village King then.
"If possible, I’d like for Albert and the others to watch everything from the start. But that will take a long time to watch. And I don’t know if the Spirit King is willing to do it again or not," Shirley said.
"I can do that. But you two to tell your friends about Roy’s past a bit before so they can prepare for it," the Spirit King said.
Now that I think about it, Albert and the others must be worried sick, right? Including Veronica and Wendy who must be still waiting for us at the foot of the mountain. Though for Kron, he must be bored already.
"How long have we been here? From the time we climbed the wall until right now," I asked.
"It has been three days only," the Spirit King said.
Less than three days to watch several decades of my life. That is fast. But I’m sure Shirley’s brain must have worked a lot. So she needs some rest.
"Have any of you contacted Albert and the others?" I asked.
"Not yet. We were too busy watching your past," Shirley said.
"Then should we contact him now?" I asked.
"Let’s just go home right away then. I haven’t rested enough since I had to watch your past for decades. I might be a master level mage, but I can still get tired," Shirley said.
I guess so. She needs to rest first.
"So, have you decided to help us?" I asked the Spirit King.
"The things I can do is limited, but I have decided to help you. Though if it’s just asking for elemental spirits to help with improving your friends’ magic level, that’s an easy matter. You can ask any spirit here to bring with you and help mages with similar element. Only those who agree to leave this place. But if you want to bring someone here, only bring those you can trust," the Spirit King said.
Awesome! We got the help of the spirits! Now it’s only a matter of time before everyone can reach master level. And we will be stronger than ever!
"I want to keep this place as secret. That’s why only bring those you can trust to keep this place a secret here. And you are only allowed to use your portal to get here. I will continue to protect this place with illusion. If there’s anyone who climb the mountain, they will be affected by my illusion magic like you did," the Spirit King said.
"That’s fine with me. If you have suffered so much by humans, it’s normal to keep your interaction with them at minimum. Is that all you can do to help us?" I asked.
"Due to a certain reason, I am not allowed to harm humans. And I don’t support the other spirits to harm humans as well. That’s why I can’t help in the war. But if there’s someone who got affected by hypnosis magic and got brainwashed by the cult, you can bring them here. I’ll check their memory a bit before deciding if I want to remove the brainwashing from them or not," the Spirit King said.
Unable to harm humans? I looked at Victoria and Shirley who nodded at me. I guess I can ask them about it later.
But to be able to remove someone’s brainwashing, that would be really helpful.
Though this being, the Spirit King, exist in this world, doesn’t mean that he’s the strongest. Because in the other timeline, in my past life after I died, the world was still destroyed. I guess the Evil God is not someone to be underestimated no matter how strong we became.
"For now, we will go back home and get everyone to be prepared for the next important meeting tomorrow. Victoria, have you prepared everything?" Shirley asked Victoria.
"Here!"
Victoria then presented several books from out of nowhere. I guess while watching my past, she had a Blobby to write down everything she sees. And that will be presented to everyone during the meeting.
Well, I don’t think she will read everything. She will just say the important part.
"Good. That’s a lot of writing. Roy, get those who are still waiting at the foot of the mountain home first. Then we will go and meet Albert before we report this to the others. The fact that you’re our brother, even though you don’t care about it, means that you have political power no matter how little it is. With the relationship we have with other countries, we need to make sure that you remain neutral no matter what," Shirley said.
I guess she’s right. Tatrama has a lot of advantage in the alliance thanks to me being born in that kingdom. If the others learned that the strongest member in our force is the prince, they won’t think favorably of Tatrama even though we have friendly relationship with them.
I guess we need to discuss that with Albert first.
So, I brought Veronica and Wendy back to Cassau. As for Kron, he said that he will just meet us during the meeting. Sonia can teleport on her own, so she doesn’t need a portal. And for Airy and Breezy, they said that they want to stay here for a while.
So I brought Shirley and Victoria to meet Albert. And Shirley told him that I’m his brother.
We told Albert what happened. The fact that there’s it was all just illusion about granting our wish.
And when Shirley told Albert that I’m her brother...
"Little Brother!"
"Big Brother!"
We both run at each other with our arms spread wide. It’s as if we’re going for a big hug.
Though we stopped when we get close. Because there’s no way that I would hug him. And Albert seem to have the same mindset.
"I guess that explains why I feel some sort of familiarity with you," Albert said.
Yeah, I agree. I mean we’re both handsome. So it’s natural to think that we’re blood related.
"...I guess they get along really well that it doesn’t matter for them if they’re related or not," Shirley sighed.
