Chapter 1175: Everything is Easier with Aura

Humanoid insect monsters. The one that I remember was the praying mantis monster. I think that was soon after I returned to the past that I saw them.

I remember that my memory was still good at that time. Now, it’s shit. And I will probably live a long live with dementia. That would be suck.

Maybe if there’s a healer who can reach the stage beyond master level, my brain damage can be healed. Because even master level mages who can regenerate a lost limb still can’t heal my brain.

That might still be a long time in the future. Even so, both Sophie and Kayla are dedicated that they will be able to heal me in the future. I wish the best for them.

Anyway, let’s go back to the battle. There are a lot of powerful humanoid insect monsters. There are even the praying mantises as well. But they are much stronger than the praying mantises that I fought before right when I just returned to the past.

These praying mantises could even fight back against two werewolves at the same time without getting into a disadvantageous position. They are scary with those two blades as their arms.

"Team up with someone else if you can’t fight them alone!" I shouted as loudly as possible.

It’s not to relay my order. Well, that too. But it’s also to locate the tamers and probably the space mages as well.

And they really end up getting discovered by me. When I shouted, those humans stopped what they were doing and looked at the source of the shout. So I can tell that they are looking for me. But I don’t know if they are tamers or space mages. I’ll just kill them anyway.

The space mages quickly noticed that I was looking at them so they disappeared right away to another place. So those who didn’t are tamers. But I don’t care.

Still, if the insect queen is not here, even if we defeat the tamers, the battle won’t end. But we can only fight.

Well, with the werewolves, we might be able to track the queen sooner or later. Maybe. But I think insects have better smelling sense than werewolves. They will also be able to tell when the werewolves are getting closer.

It doesn’t matter right now. We only need to kill.

As I was rushing to a tamer, a space mage appeared and teleported the tamer and himself away. But not before the tamer ordered the humanoid insect monsters to surround me.

At least for now I know that they are not under the control of the insect queen.

Maybe it’s just like the Dragon Kings before. The insect queen actually has great mental strength.

That’s just a guess though. I will never know if it’s true or not.

Fighting the insects, even with my trained strength and as a master level summoner, I couldn’t defeat them easily. My sword is like a blunt weapon to them. It can’t cut anything.

But once I used Aura, it was easy cutting them apart. They are just hard and strong. That doesn’t make them invulnerable to slashing attack.

’Victoria, I’m sure you don’t have much trouble with the humanoid insect monsters,’ I said to Victoria.

’As if! I hate bugs!’ Victoria said.

Well, that’s a problem. But if she hates them, she should have killed every single one of them, right? Then it’s fine.

’If you’re not in a difficult position, I’d rather you leave the fight to the others. I want you and Ray to move around and get Ray to share his Aura to the monsters so they can defeat them easily. I will also do the same. Because if we don’t, it will take times until we can defeat them all,’ I said.

’Okay. That’s better than getting my body covered in insect’s blood,’ Victoria said.

’We are fine up here in the sky. But if we can have easier time defeating the enemies, it would be better. Please come here either one of you,’ Graham said.

’I refuse! The werewolves and the weretigers will fight in our own terms! Whether we are fighting individually or teaming up, we want to defeat them with our own strength,’ Shelia said.

’That’s fine. Then I won’t help Shelia, the werewolves, and the weretigers. Crabbe, how about you?’ I asked Crabbe.

’The mermaids started to use their poison so it was easy for us. Master, it seems like we don’t have to worry about the mermaids losing too much blood from using poison. They can secrete just a bit of blood without hurting themselves and target only their enemy with a drop of blood. If we allowed them to use their poison in the match, they could be stronger than most monsters here,’ Crabbe said.

’That’s great. Then I will help Graham and the others. Good luck everyone!’

Shelia and Graham won’t need my help at the moment. So I won’t help them.

’It’s better if the others are fighting the insects rather than me,’ Victoria said.

She really hates insect it seems. Should I be glad that back then when I used her to fight the praying mantises when I was just returned to the past that she was not able to stay conscious for a long time?

As soon as I defeated the monsters around me, I left the place and started moving around as fast as I possibly could to share my Aura to those who wants to have an easier fight. Though I only use it on the weapons. It’s easier that way.

But for the elves, it’s difficult because they have so many arrows. So I only share my Aura to five arrows per elves.

Ray also moves around. Then everyone noticed what he intended to do so as Ray was running around, everyone is touching his body to get their share of Aura. Ray is unable to share them with weapons for some reason.

There’s so much I don’t know about Abyss Horse. But he’s so useful so I just stopped caring as long as he’s with me.

With how much easier the battle has become, we defeated a lot of monsters and humans. Even the space mages are unable to keep up with our speed. Some of them were panicked so much that they ended up teleporting themselves into my kingdom only to be greeted by Pawzer who killed them without them knowing.

It’s good that we still managed to capture some humans. We should be able to learn something from them.

Finally, the battle is over. Seems like they didn’t send all their forces today. It means that they will likely to attack my kingdom again sooner or later.

"It seems like the battle will goes on for a while," Red said.

"Right. So, should we leave this place and move somewhere else or should we stay here and protect the kingdom?" I asked after I gathered everyone here. Even the Crab People and the mermaids have returned.

"Obviously we will stay," Shelia said.

There’s no objection to that. So we will continue fighting until one side is destroyed.

I actually don’t like it since they prefer to fight rather than escape. But that’s what they’re satisfied with. That’s what they enjoy. And as their king, I should grant their wish.

"Alright. Let’s continue protecting this place. If one day I deemed that protecting this place is impossible, I want you all to retreat instead of fighting to death. Because only when you are alive will you be able to get stronger," I said.

Then after cleaning up the mess around the kingdom, I returned the pandas and the monster children back to my kingdom.

The Kaiser Tortoise was doing fine in the battle. He didn’t fight much. But his shell offered great protection. He didn’t move much during the fight because of his great defense that most enemies were unable to pierce through.

"How’s your first battle?" I asked the young Kaiser Tortoise.

"I’m still too slow unlike my father. I didn’t kill much. But I’m satisfied with my growth. I will get even stronger so I can defeat everyone," he said.

"That’s good. Keep up the good work," I said.

After taking care of everything here, I promised them another banquet next time I come here before I return back to Cassau.

Then I called Albert and told him about everything that happened.

"About those humanoid insect creatures. Are they vulnerable to magic?" Albert asked.

"They don’t have magic resistance. In fact, most of the monsters that attacked my kingdom today are those that have great physical capabilities. I guess it’s because they decided that it’s best to not send everyone there," I said.

"At least it’s good that we learned that. Once the centaurs have grabbed all information they can get from the prisoners, I’ll tell you what you need to know," Albert said before he hang up.

For interrogation, I told the centaurs to tell the result to someone working under Albert even though the centaurs are directly working for me. I’m just not that smart.

Now, I will just wait.
