Chapter 1052: Maya’s Decision

I can see Fabio and Jewel’s shocked expression. They finally realized I brought Maya here.

"Is she strong? And why is she in jail?" Maya asked me.

"She is strong. If it’s just physical strength, she might be number one in this village. Not counting this werecheetah who have been eavesdropping on us," I said.

"I didn’t eavesdrop. I just have good pair of ears and you’re loud enough for me to hear even when I’m not here."

Like usual, Pawzer appeared out of nowhere. Though he looked at Georgia with curiosity.

If it’s him, he should have asked someone about her, right? Or maybe he didn’t really care so he never asked anyone.

"I’ll tell you more about her now. She was captured and tamed by the cult. Then she was used as experiment. They modified her body to make her stronger while also losing her mind."

I started explained to Maya about Georgia and how we got her here. Due to her losing her mind, she might attack anyone in front of her.

She’s really strong. Other than the Magic Restricting Collar, she was restricted by a lot of chains.

Unlike before, she has calmed down a lot now. But she’s still unable to communicate and will show hostility toward anyone close to her.

"So, is every monster here the monsters you saved before? And they treated you like a king because of that?" Maya asked.

"Well, not really. The werewolves are here because I defeated the strongest werewolf. The angels came here for the first time because I forced them to. The elves are here because my maid’s familiar is a creature that they worship. The weretigers are like the werewolves. Only follow those who are stronger than them. The centaurs are quite similar as well. I think only the Crab People and the tortoises here because I saved them. The dragons also here because I forced them just like the angel. And other than me, there’s also another monster protecting this village," I said.

"And they treated you like a king because you’re the strongest. That is awesome," Maya said.

"So, will you make a contract with Georgia or not? Even though I showed her to you, it’s still your decision. And even if your order will not make her recover her mind, she’s still a powerful monster. Letting her fight on her own will improve your summoning level faster. Then you can decide what monster you want next yourself," I said.

Maya started thinking. And her family also helped her in deciding whether she should make a contract with the Archangel or not.

"My sister is a real Archangel. Unlike me who is only a half. So her healing magic is at the level where she can recover a lost limb. Though it’s not as good as Kayla."

While they are thinking, Graham added something else to help them make decision faster.

A healing magic that can recover a lost limb? I’m sure they will want it. And she’s also strong. Which means that Maya will be a lot safer if she picks Georgia as her first familiar.

For her second familiar in the future though, I will suggest a support-type monster. Like Victoria. Though that is extremely rare and there’s only one Black Slime in the world. The others are just her clones.

Are there any other monsters with cloning ability like Victoria’s? Or maybe something with teleportation ability like Sonia’s.

"I have decided! I will make her my first familiar!" Maya said.

For this, it’s also thanks to her brother who said that it’s best to have a female monster instead of a male one. We don’t know what monster will Maya find during training. So he insisted to make Georgia as her first familiar no matter what.

In a way, he’s kind of useful. Even if Georgia’s mind is not recovering, she will still have one of the strongest monsters here.

Georgia might be physically stronger than most monsters here. But if it’s a fight, I think Shelia will win because of her experience. Though Georgia’s strength is not to be underestimated.

I checked her body from time to time using Divine Vision. It’s weird, but as time passes, her muscles were continuing to develop until today. Which makes her stronger than she was when we first found her.

I might be a doctor. But discovering the cure for an illness is not something I can do. I can only learn from what other people discovered. So I don’t really know what happened with her.

"Good. Then enter the jail and use contract magic to her. Once you’re done, quickly order her to not move without your permission. Don’t worry about anything else. Because I won’t let you get hurt," I said.

"You won’t be the only one protecting her. I will do it as well," Fabio said. Ready to fight.

"Can you fight without killing her though? Because if you kill her, that guy will kill you," I said as I pointed at Graham.

"Okay, Roy will take care of everything else. Just focus on making a contract with her," Fabio said.

"This might be interesting. I want to watch," Pawzer said.

Then we entered the cell with Graham and I at the front. Victoria guided Maya to use her contract magic. She’s not a mage, but she understands how to do it because she learned it from me after staying with me for so long.

And soon after, the contract is done. But Georgia didn’t do anything. Her head is still down.

"You are not allowed to move without order from me," Maya ordered Georgia.

Then Georgia’s head looked forward. She looks calmer than usual.

And now, Graham and I removed the chains that restricted her. She’s free now.

And she quickly moves toward Maya. But I don’t feel any intent to harm her. So I stopped Graham who was about to stop her.

And there, Georgia kneeled in front of Maya. Without saying anything.

"Maya, give her a simple order," I said.

"Then... try to use your healing magic on... him," Maya said.

She pointed her finger at me. So at least she’s smart enough to not let Georgia cast magic on her. But she pointed at me. I don’t know what she’s thinking. But even if it’s a magic that will harm me, I’m sure I can endure it.

...It’s just a normal healing magic. About as powerful as Kayla’s healing magic.

"Can you make her speak?" Graham asked.

Then Maya looked at Georgia again and give her an order.

"Tell me, what’s your name?" Maya asked.

There was a silent moment. She tried to speak but she failed.

"At least we know that she’s following your order. Graham, don’t give up yet. This might be because of Maya’s current level. In the future, once she leveled up, she might be able to recover Maya’s mind," I said to Graham.

"Okay. But this is still better than nothing," Graham said.

"Umm... but I don’t plan to be too strong. I just want to stay with Fabio," Maya said.

"The more reason why you need to be a master level. He’s already a master level mage. He will lead your kingdom for hundreds of years. If you want to stay by his side for a long time, you should reach master level first," I said.

"Then I will try hard to become one!"
