Chapter 1031: Killing the Two Warriors

A mage with space element is very rare. In fact, this is the first time I met one. I guess this is how serious the cult is trying to kill me.

He might even be the only space mage in the cult. But for them to send him here, I hope it means that they are desperate.

The three of them are together facing me alone. Even though that space mage told the others to kill me, they still move carefully.

From the look of it, those two are pretty skilled with their martial arts. One with a sword and another with a spear. They might not be Aura users but their martial arts might be just stronger than anyone else I have faced.

I don’t think they will be stronger or faster than even the monsters in the village. But it might be dangerous depending on how skilled they are.

As they approached me carefully, I sheathed my sword into the cane. Then I made a small opening on my armor to grab something from my pocket.

I also use magic a bit. So those three noticed it and raised their guard.

But I actually just grabbed Reizpear and made it restore to its original form as soon as I take it out. Or at least that’s what I want those three to think.

The truth was that I sneakily used my phone to inform the others. This is an important information that has to be reported right away. I can’t wait until the end of the battle to tell the others.

There’s a space element mage here who can teleport. And I’m currently facing him.

That’s the report that I wrote and send for everyone to see. Telling them that there’s a dangerous mage here.

I also told them that I’m facing him. So they can be rest assured because as long as the space mage is facing me, he won’t go after anyone else.

I don’t know how well his magic to teleport or other type of magic he has. But I can only imagine it from how Sonia teleports. Except that there’s no medium that he needs to use.

Does he have offensive magic with that element? Or perhaps defensive magic?

Or is he here to teleport the other two mages so I won’t be able to predict how they will move? That is the most likely answer.

And the space mage is also a master level mage. Whether it’s his spatial element or his other element, he’s a master level mage. So unless he’s within my range and I can instantly accelerate toward him, he will use his teleportation to move to another place.

So I have to get close to him no matter what. But he’s keeping his distance.

Maybe he’s also using his spatial magic to detect anything in his range that moves. So when I made my move, he already prepared with his teleportation.

This might be hard. There’s so little I can tell about space magic. I only know teleportation.

He’s the most dangerous one here. But if possible, I want to capture him and not kill him. Just so I can learn more about spatial magic.

Does portal count as spatial magic? I don’t know. But he can probably do it. Though teleportation seems to be better than using portal.

Whatever the case, I can’t let down my guard. Not to the space mage and not to the other two warriors.

Maybe they thought that I didn’t move for a long time, so they decided to attack me. I also need to be cautious of their magic. I might even need to prepare to use my new power that I haven’t named yet.

I really should think of a name for it. But not now. I’m too busy.

The spearman approached me first. So it became a spear against a spear. But my spearmanship is better than his. So I easily blocked it. Though his attack was a bit heavy.

He then quickly pulled his spear back and attacked with consecutive thrust attacks. I didn’t block them. I just dodged them all as I focused on the swordsman who tried to attack me from behind.

As the swordsman tried to slash his Etherstone sword at me, I thrust Reizpear forward at him. And he had no choice but to block it. While the spearman behind me still tried to just touch me with his Etherstone spear.

The spear was made of Etherstone completely. Even the shaft. And the sword’s handle also made of Etherstone. So even if I touch the shaft, I won’t be able to use Aura.

After thrusting Reizpear toward the swordsman, I pulled it back as far as possible so the butt of Reizpear will hit the spearman. It might just be the blunt side of the spear. But with Aura, I can make it as sharp as the tip of the spear.

As I was about to reach him and the spearman’s expression turned into fear, he disappeared. Then he reappeared instantly in another location.

I see. The space mage is not just here to distract me with his teleportation. He also uses his magic to teleport his companions so my attack won’t hit them. Or maybe even for them to have an easier time to hit me.

Swords or Spear. Seems like neither one is the best choice in this battle.

I should be barehanded. This way, if I caught someone, whether the space mage can teleport me or not can be learnt.

Seems like there’s something that is needed for the space mage to teleport other people. Because if he can do it to me, he would have done that already. And I would be somewhere else right away.

The most possible reason is agreement with the other party. As long as I disagree to have him teleport me, he won’t be able to do it. And the other two already allowed him to teleport them. That’s why they can be teleported by the space mage.

Maybe if my magic level is lower than his, he can do that without asking for my permission. Luckily, I’m a master level summoner.

After the spearman appeared somewhere else, I threw Reizpear at him. But he disappeared again.

I expected that. Then I choose to focus on the swordsman.

As the space mage focused his attention at teleporting the spearman, I grabbed the Etherstone sword that was swung at me with my left hand. Since we’re both master level mage, I can do that. And I ended up unable to use Aura for a moment.

But that’s enough. I used my free right hand to hit him on his wrist. Then he lost his grip and I could disarm his sword and threw it away.

Then I grabbed his wrist. I looked at the space magic and it seems like he tried to teleport this swordsman. But he failed to do it.

So as long as I’m in contact with his teleportation target, the target won’t be able to be teleported. That’s something good to know I guess. Seeing the space mage looked perplexed from unable to teleport his companion is interesting.

"Hehe... you’re also unarmed. You can’t kill me," the swordsman said.

I’m still holding his wrist. And he tried to use magic. But I’m faster than him.

So with my free hand, I ripped his heart out of his chest. To show them how strong an Aura user really is.

He’s rather skilled with his weapon. But how he didn’t wear protection shows that they are still underestimating me. And I happily let them do that.

The spearman was shocked. Because he also thought that I’m useless without a weapon. But he’s very wrong.

The space mage then made a quick decision as he disappeared from where he was. I tried to go after him, but he’s nowhere within my sight even with Divine Vision.

I guess he could teleport further than the range of my Divine Vision. So while the spearman is still in shock, I told the others that the space mage disappeared.

Then I focused my attention to the spearman. He then realized that he’s my next target.

But he’s smart enough. He’s an earth mage. So he uses his magic to cover his body with rocks.

That is not enough to stop me. But it’s still better than being unprotected.

Reizpear is near his location. And he also grabbed Reizpear. Now he wields two spears. I guess he’s trying to keep his distance from me as we fight.

One thing he forgets to do is to block his head. He only wore the rock armor on his torso. And I didn’t even bother to approach him.

I grabbed Blobbygun from my back and shoot a bullet sleeping gas inside. I shot his right eye. And the bullet pierced through his eye.

He didn’t die. But the bullet is deep in his brain. So he can’t do anything else.

And just casually approached him and killed him. Then before anyone arrived, I opened a portal and threw the Etherstone sword and spear into the portal. They might be useful.

Next is... the space mage returned. And he brought reinforcement with him.

I guess my battle with him is not over yet.
