Chapter 1023: Training Result

One week after I brought Pawzer to Earth. He enjoyed it a lot with the food and everything we showed him. And now, it’s the last day of training. Tomorrow is for rest before we attacked the Kaiser Tortoise.

Most of us have managed to keep up with Pawzer’s speed. Not all, but everyone knows that we have all gotten much stronger than one month ago.

Those who couldn’t keep up faced Pawzer in a group. Though some who could keep up with his speed still make a group to face him. Because even if they could keep up with his speed, it doesn’t mean that they could defeat him.

And yes, other than me, there’s no one else who have defeated Pawzer. At least until today.

Also, I never really defeated Pawzer. Because I purposely hold back my full power.

As usual, many of the monsters and the master level mages were knocked out. Though all of them showed satisfying expression on their faces while they’re unconscious. It’s kind of funny.

"Come on, this is the last day of training. But is one hit enough to make you satisfied?" Pawzer asked.

Not everyone managed to hit him. But at least when they’re in a group, they could at least hit him once. But that’s all.

They have gotten stronger. But if they’re satisfied with just that, it’s not enough. Because maybe the cult have many more members among them who are stronger than Pawzer.

The training continues. But I still stood there and watch. Because I will be the last one to fight Pawzer.

And there’s finally someone who managed to defeat Pawzer. It’s a group of only two people. Two master level mages. Veronica and Celestine. The two former members of the cult that joined us first. There were other former cultists, but I don’t remember them much anymore.

It was an amazing battle. The two of them managed to barely follow Pawzer’s speed. Though it’s more like predicting. And since we have trained with Pawzer for a month, they have gotten used to his habit.

As soon as they saw Pawzer moved, Veronica used her wind magic to make powerful wind from above. Pushing everything around her down with great pressure. And that slowed down Pawzer a bit.

After they saw Pawzer’s location, Celestine quickly raised wall to block Pawzer from escaping. And while she was maintaining the Earth Prison, both girls fight Pawzer together.

The result was great. The two of them got slightly injured, but they defeated Pawzer in the end. Well, it’s more like making Pawzer incapable of moving anymore. But that’s enough to defeat him in training.

"Oh, you two are great. To think that you managed to defeat me in one month with just the two of you," Pawzer praised the two as some angels started healing the three of them.

"It’s not enough. We just worked together a plan to defeat you. If you change your attack pattern, it would be impossible to defeat you," Celestine said.

Veronica also nodded in agreement to that statement. And I agree as well. Though their magic is already faster than it used to. They could use magic almost instantly as soon as they want to.

Their plan is only to face against someone faster than them. Though that’s good, it’s not good enough. Their enemies will be mostly mages. And they are our strongest wind mage and earth mage. So we have problem in finding them mages as opponents. Mages who are stronger than them.

The training continues. Some managed to defeat Pawzer, but some didn’t.

Then it’s time for my familiars to fight him. Only four of them though. Victoria, Graham, Crabbe, and Ray. Spot also included so there are five of them.

As for Shelia, she’s obviously wanted to fight Pawzer alone. She will be next after this.

They worked together so well. With Victoria’s leadership, they managed to take down Pawzer faster than anyone else. And they even didn’t get injured at all. That’s how amazing they are.

Or at least that’s what everyone thought.

I do think that they are amazing. But that’s not enough.

Then there’s also another person, or should I say monster, who knows that it was not good enough.

"Okay, that’s good. I will fight next," Shelia said.

"Right away? Sure," Pawzer said.

"Before that, I have a request for you. Use your full speed. The one that you used when you fight with Roy when he’s using his new power," Shelia said.

Only then everyone is aware that Pawzer hasn’t used his full power. He’s still holding back.

As expected, Shelia realized that Pawzer used his real speed when he’s fighting me after I learned my new power. And the others only realized now that the one they just defeated hasn’t even used his full speed and power.

"Oh, you’re aware? As expected of the strongest monster here. Other than Roy, you’re the second one to grow the fastest. You’re always growing in every battle. I like that," Pawzer said.

"Then will you use your—"

Before Shelia finished speaking, Pawzer already made his move. Leaving behind his afterimage, he’s already right behind her.

But Shelia quickly turned her body and accepted his attack with her arms. She blocked it well.

"Does that answer your question?" Pawzer asked.

Not only that, he also transformed into a huge cheetah. Not the one we saw before. But a big cheetah that walks on his two hind legs. Just like werewolves and weretiger’s transformation. That’s his strongest form.

No one noticed it because he was so fast before. But lately, when he fought me, he used that form. And only I aware of it. At least that’s what I thought.

Shelia also transformed. She’s smaller than Pawzer, but that’s still her strongest form.

"Everyone! Protect yourselves," I said.

The two’s battle was too fast. And they fought while moving around. So the others could get hit by their attack.

But with how they are now, they should be able to protect themselves from any stray attack. They have grown that much. And that’s why Pawzer didn’t mind using his full power now.

"...And we were just so happy to defeat him," Veronica sighed.

The speed he used to fight them was actually a bit slower than the speed he used when I rode on his back at that time when he came to the Monsters Village first. But to be able to follow that speed was good enough.

And now, his speed is faster than that. As fast as when we fought for three minutes when I used my new power.

Thanks to adapting to that new power, I can now follow his speed without using Divine Vision. But to be able to do this doesn’t mean I don’t need to use that power anymore to fight him. I still need that because it actually improves my thinking speed.

Well, I have come up with something that can be used so I can fight longer than three minutes. But that’s for later.

Right now, it’s still Shelia’s turn to fight. I will watch them fight first.

Just like usual, there’s no change in Pawzer’s attack pattern. That’s why Shelia could keep up with him so far. Her battle instinct actually surpasses Pawzer’s. It’s mainly because Pawzer had never fought against someone stronger than him or as strong as he is.

Though in the end, Shelia started losing. She started to get hit more than Pawzer.

In the end, no matter how skilled you are and how good you are in battle, it’s not enough when you’re facing against absolute power. Someone at a much higher level than you.

And that is why I’m proud that I’m actually the strongest here. Though I still need to use techniques and skills. Because that will be useful.

"Roy, you fought Pawzer at that speed?" Victoria asked.

"You never realize it?" I asked back.

"I only sensed when you wanted to transform me into something. Even now, I can’t follow his movement without Ray’s help," Victoria said.

When Pawzer trained me, I used many things. Including fighting with the help of my familiars. But I guess it’s hard for Victoria to learn anything.

The one who doesn’t improve as much as the others is Victoria. In the end, she’s just a slime. And she knew that.

But no one here will say that she’s not important. Rather, she’s the most important one here. Because if it’s not for her, I won’t be as strong as I am today.

Soon, the battle is over. Pawzer had several scars on his body, but they’re not that deep. Rather, they have already started healing.

As for Shelia, she lost her arm. Though with her self-recovery ability, her arm will grow back on its own.

But she’s unconscious now. So Kayla healed her right away. And the missing arm regenerated in an instant.

"Well, that’s everyone other than you, Roy. Are you ready?" Pawzer asked.

"Let’s get this done so I can take a rest sooner."
