Chapter 776: Assigning Rooms for Sleep

Chapter 776: Assigning Rooms for Sleep

An hour later, Yan Sijue, with her and Xiaoze, along with his mother Lan Yueru, arrived at the small island.

On the island, there was a massive manor-style villa that occupied nearly half of the area, where all the guests would stay.

As soon as they got off the plane, Xiaoze cried out in excitement!

"Daddy, can you give me this island for my wedding in the future?" Xiaoze planned ambitiously, "I want to get married here too!"

Lan Yueru smiled warmly and said, "Xiaoze, are you already thinking about a bride?"

Xiaoze’s face blushed crimson: "...No, I’m thinking about the wedding, not the bride!"

He just purely thought that marriage seemed interesting, the bride part... he’d rather not think about it now...

Yan Sijue smiled and glanced at Mu Yiliang: "If you want it, ask your mommy, this island is the betrothal gift I gave to her."

Mu Yiliang was taken aback, glaring at him: "How come I didn’t know?"

"Whenever you want a vacation, you can come here anytime." He said gently, "This place was specially chosen for you by me."

Mu Yiliang was stunned for a moment, her heart slightly moved.

She turned her gaze to the endless sea, where the azure sky and the deep blue sea met, endless to the eye, with several sailboats dotting the scene, leaving one irresistibly enchanted.

It was spring, and the island was a scene of blooming flowers, with vast tulips and red roses catching the eye, interspersed with white baby’s breath, beautiful and fragrant.

Her eyelashes trembled slightly, shadows flashing in her eyes, finally hidden behind her lowered lids, concealing all emotions.

Yan Sijue didn’t notice her anomaly and wrapped his arm around her waist: "Do you like it?"

His low, deep voice was very pleasing to the ear.

She turned back and gave him a bright smile: "I love it!"

How could she not like it?

"Mommy, can you lend this place to me for my wedding in the future?" Xiaoze persistently asked.

Mu Yiliang laughed, patting his head: "Bring back a bride first, then we’ll talk!"

"No problem, no problem." With that, he ran towards the manor first.

Lan Yueru, having her attention mostly on her grandson, followed him with a smile: "Xiaoze, slow down."

"Shall we go too?" Yan Sijue smiled slightly.

"Sure," she replied with a smile.

However, when it was time to move in, the two had a disagreement.

"We’re getting married in three days, so it’s better for us to stay apart during these days," Mu Yiliang reasoned forcefully.

Yan Sijue refused with a stern face: "No way!"

"It’s just three nights..."

"Absolutely not!"

Mu Yiliang pouted in frustration: "Don’t you know it’s bad luck for engaged couples to see each other before the wedding?"

Yan Sijue frowned, rejecting this notion.

"In three days, you’ll see me in the wedding chamber..." Mu Yiliang held his hand, "A few days apart will make it even more exciting, right?"

The man pondered slightly.

"Besides, I want to prepare a little surprise for you. If you’re sharing a room with me, I won’t be able to get anything done." Mu Yiliang played another card.

Yan Sijue had to compromise, pressing his index finger on her lips, his voice hoarse: "If I come looking for you in these three days, don’t shut me out."

She nodded in agreement.

Only then did the man reluctantly nod.

But at least Mu Yiliang got to sleep in a separate room. Yan Sijue’s room was right next to hers, while Lan Yueru and Xiaoze shared a room.

After entering her own room, Mu Yiliang closed the door, her previously cheerful expression no longer maintainable.
