Chapter 739: Longing (1)
Chapter 739: Longing (1)
Mu Yiliang felt a little heavy-hearted.
This little guy was really too mischievous.
She sat down by the dining table, took the bowl of rice Xiaoze had filled for her, and silently started counting the grains.
In the living room, the TV was on, broadcasting the news.
Xiaoze was eating, and suddenly looked up: "Mommy, the news says there was an explosion in City A."
"City A?" Mu Yiliang was taken aback.
Mu Yiliang hadn’t forgotten that City A was her hometown, and quickly put down her bowl and went to the living room.
Xiaoze followed her over.
"It was human-caused, but fortunately the casualties weren’t severe." Mu Yiliang breathed a sigh of relief.
"One person dead, seven injured..." Xiaoze read the words on the screen, "It seems like it was done by terrorists?"
"ISIS is detestable!" Mu Yiliang snorted.
Xiaoze’s expression suddenly changed!
"Mommy, quickly call Daddy!" His voice was a bit urgent, "I know he just went back to City A yesterday!"
Mu Yiliang’s heart skipped a beat!
"Could it really be such a coincidence?"
"That’s why I’m telling you to call and confirm!" Xiaoze urged.
Mu Yiliang hesitated for a moment, then finally pulled up the contacts.
Even though she suspected Xiaoze was deliberately urging her to call Yan Sijue, at this moment she was indeed a bit worried.
The call connected quickly, and after a few rings, someone picked up on the other side.
Mu Yiliang inexplicably felt a bit nervous, said "Hello", and suddenly didn’t know what to say.
"Is this Lady Mu? I’m Yang Ru."
The voice on the other end was polite; who else could it be if not Yang Ru?
Mu Yiliang was taken aback, then her heart sank!
"Assistant Yang, why is it you! Where is Yan Sijue?" Mu Yiliang felt her palm sweating; this was Yan Sijue’s private number, he wouldn’t have Yang Ru answer it unless he couldn’t answer himself!
"Please don’t worry." Yang Ru’s voice sounded very steady, "The CEO is in a meeting right now. I’ll inform him of your call once he finishes his work."
Mu Yiliang slightly let out a sigh of relief.
"Please make sure he calls me back." She emphasized.
Yang Ru paused slightly: "Alright."
Mu Yiliang didn’t detect anything amiss in his tone and continued to ask, "By the way, is his injury healed?"
"It’s already healed, you don’t need to worry."
"That’s good. Please make sure to take good care of him." After saying this, Mu Yiliang suddenly felt a bit sad.
Actually, she really wanted to take care of him herself, really wanted to.
Yang Ru naturally agreed.
Ending the call, Mu Yiliang looked at Xiaoze: "He’s fine."
"We’ll have to wait until Daddy calls himself to be sure." Xiaoze frowned.
"He definitely will be fine!" Mu Yiliang gave her son an exasperated look, "If something had happened to him, Yang Ru couldn’t be so calm!"
She believed this firmly.
Xiaoze thought for a moment, didn’t insist, and returned to his room. Mu Yiliang knew this kid would surely go to search for information on the explosion, so she didn’t stop him.
Mu Yiliang tidied up the dishes, took out her phone to check, but there was no call record.
She couldn’t help feeling a bit disappointed.
She then went to her son’s room, leaned in front of the computer: "Did you find anything?"
Xiaoze shook his head: "There’s very, very little news about the explosion, strange..."
"Can you find the list of the injured?"
"I found it, but it doesn’t mean much. If Daddy were injured, do you think he would let his name appear?" Xiaoze still frowned.
Mu Yiliang glared at him: "Anyway, he won’t have any accidents!"
