Yan Sijue received a call from the sanatorium the next day saying that Lan Yueru suddenly refused to eat!
When he rushed over, he was met with a scene of chaos.
The caregiver looked panicked: "...Aunt Lan was fine when she woke up in the morning, but she just wouldn’t eat anything, no matter what I brought her. She got angry and even knocked over all the dishes and utensils..."

Yan Sijue sighed, walked to her side, and held her hand: "Mom, I’m Si Jue, your son. Don’t you remember? Whatever you want, you can tell me."

The caregiver hurriedly cleaned up the mess and brought a new food cart. Yan Sijue personally fed Lan Yueru, watched her finish eating, and then personally saw her fall asleep before leaving the sanatorium.

Lan Yueru’s condition had been stable. Most of the time she immersed herself in her own world, not keen on interacting with people, but she could understand some daily conversations.
Occasionally, she would give some response, though rarely.
But she had never insisted on someone specifically!
Even though it was understandable that Lan Yueru trusted and relied more on Xin, who had been taking care of her all these years, she always treated Xin the same as others, showing no more dependence on her. Moreover, her condition had been stable recently; why the sudden insistence on this woman?
There’s got to be something hidden; Yan Sijue would never believe otherwise!
Xin mocked with a smirk: "Yan Sijue, instead of asking me, why not ask yourself! Her insistence on me clearly stems from a sense of insecurity about her surroundings, and I’m the only one she trusts. Isn’t that your responsibility?"
