The Mob Priest Will Raise the Heroine

Chapter 307

Chapter 307

The major event in the romance game called Valentine came to an end, and spring arrived. There were events like final exams, graduation ceremonies, and spring break, but nothing particularly noteworthy occurred.

If I had to mention something... Will Rileis once again took first place in the final exams. During the graduation ceremony, over ten male graduates confessed to Reina in a confession festival. And when we returned to Eggbell for spring break, Gieville had grown six arms and three faces, looking like a statue of a deity with three faces and six arms.

At most, only such minor incidents happened.

And so, spring break ended and the new semester began.

In the romance game Beyond the Rainbow Gleam, it marked the start of the second half of the story.

Many new characters appeared, and the story entered its climax with numerous incidents unfolding.

"Lord Clael, how do I look? Does it suit me?"

It was the first day of the new semester, and Reina had advanced to her second year.

Early in the morning, Reina came to see Clael, who was preparing for class at the sanctuary.

Reina was in uniform, but it was a different outfit from the previous year.

"It looks like the uniform is changing this year! This is the new uniform!"

Reina was wearing a newly designed uniform.

With the change in uniforms starting this school year, Reina's outfit had a fresh feel to it.

The new uniform was a blazer adorned with a ribbon at the chest, resembling a sailor uniform.

Reina spread her arms wide and spun around in front of Clael.

Her skirt fluttered up like petals dancing in the wind.

(Ah, right... that was a thing too.)

While preparing for his class aimed at new students, Clael felt a warm emotion toward Reina in her new costume.

The change in Reina's uniform was due to the game developers.

Originally, the character's illustration and CG were supposed to stay the same even in the second year, but later on, a paid downloadable content allowed for a new design.

(The game sold better than expected, so they added a ton of new elements... CGs and new outfits—I bought and downloaded a bunch of them too.)

"Yes, it suits you very well. I thought a fairy had appeared."

Clael spoke his honest impression.

It wasn't flattery. Reina in her new costume was truly lovely. She even moved him, like a flower fairy.

"Uuuuuhhh!"

Overcome with joy at Clael's straightforward compliment, Reina trembled with delight.

"It was worth coming to school early...! I wanted you to be the first to see it, Lord Clael!"

"That's an honor."

"Well then, see you in class! Let's eat lunch together during the break!"

Waving her hands energetically, Reina left the sanctuary.

So cute. Truly cute.

I've looked after her since she was a child and should be used to it... yet she seems to grow more beautiful and adorable each year.

"Really, this is why heroines... she's wasted on those main characters..."

In the past, Clael would've thought that as long as someone could make Reina happy, it didn't matter who she ended up with.

But lately, he had been constantly disappointed in the incompetence of the main characters.

He felt resistance toward handing Reina over to such half-baked people.

(Will barely makes the cut... but the others, especially Luy, are absolutely out of the question.)

Is this a fatherly indignation of not wanting to give away his daughter?

If one of the main characters came to him saying, "Please give me your daughter!", he might flip the table like a stubborn old man.

(If it's going to be one of those guys, then maybe I should just...)

"Hm? I should... what?"

A sudden emotion surfaced in his mind, and Clael furrowed his brows in confusion.

He felt something hazy forming in his chest, but he couldn't identify what that emotion was.

"Hmm...?"

Tilting his head in puzzlement, Clael returned to preparing for class.
