Chapter 1521: Don’t Open the Door for Strangers
Chapter 1521: Don’t Open the Door for Strangers
The director, lead actress, and crew members ran across the film set as if something urgent had occurred. The second and third sister actresses, who were leisurely strolling after their meal, hurried after them.
"What happened?"
The lead actress waved her hand, "No time to explain, hurry up, something happened to Little Taotie!"
Upon hearing that something happened to Little Taotie, everyone looked tense and worried. The second and third sisters followed closely, and the crew members who overheard joined in, making the group larger.
The Popular Young Idol finished his call and walked over to his senior brother, speaking in a low voice, "I’ve postponed today’s work."
"Very obedient," the senior brother laughed out loud, his voice full of pride.
The Popular Young Idol’s eyes, cast downward, were filled with even more murderous intent.
He seemed to foresee a future where he’d always be threatened by his senior brother.
Xiao Ying, in the end, was a plague.
"I’m going to the bathroom," the Popular Young Idol said, turning to leave.
The senior brother spoke coldly, "Hurry back, I don’t have the patience to wait too long."
"Got it."
The Popular Young Idol hadn’t walked far before he saw the large crowd hurriedly approaching.
"What are you doing here?" the director recognized the now somewhat popular young idol.
The Popular Young Idol smiled awkwardly, "I came to visit the set."
The director wanted to ask a few questions, but the matter with Little Taotie was more pressing, so he simply nodded and walked on, assuming he was visiting the male protagonist or supporting actor.
The director and his group went straight to Little Taotie’s door; the Popular Young Idol frowned, feeling that something was amiss.
The man in black standing by the door instinctively stepped aside.
The director glanced at him, noted his disguised appearance, but didn’t look further. Instead, he took out the spare key from the crew to open the door.
But just as he was about to open it, the door opened by itself.
It was Little Taotie, who had been peering out through the peephole, who opened the door upon seeing the director uncle arriving.
The director’s hand, poised to open the door, froze in the air. He looked inside in confusion at the young girl.
Little Taotie smiled with eyes arched, dimples deep, extremely adorable.
The freckles on her little face had been removed, revealing a white, tender, and adorable face, not at all appearing in distress.
Seeing that Little Taotie was fine, the director heaved a sigh of relief, his tense shoulder muscles relaxing.
"You were in the room the whole time?" the director asked.
Little Taotie nodded, her big eyes sparkling, "Director uncle, are you here to talk about the scene with me? Did the script change?"
The director shook his head, "No, someone was knocking on your door and you didn’t open it, so I thought something had happened to you."
"I’m perfectly fine and full!" Little Taotie patted her belly and spun in a circle on the spot, her soft baby voice tilting her head to look at the crowd standing behind the director, "Why is everyone here?"
The lead actress panted, "Then why didn’t you open the door? I thought you weren’t in the lounge."
"I was, I’ve been inside eating the whole time."
"Didn’t you hear when he was knocking?" the lead actress pointed to the man in black who was about to quietly leave.
The man’s steps paused; if he accelerated now, it would appear abrupt. He somewhat regretted not leaving quickly earlier.
"I don’t know him, why should I open the door for him?" Little Taotie blinked her big eyes, "The teacher said not to open the door to strangers."
"Uh, that makes a lot of sense," the lead actress understood why Little Taotie didn’t open the door.
The second sister actress blocked the man in black’s path, their eyes glaring fiercely at each other, "Who are you? Take off your mask and sunglasses!"
