Chapter 149: Finally
Chapter 149: Finally
"Come on, let’s go introduce you to someone very special to me," Chris said as he grabbed Emily’s hand and walked towards a house. Things had normalised a little after Jackson’s death. Although the danger was still looming, they could have some fun.
As they walked, Emily’s heart raced. The danger that had loomed after Jackson’s death was still palpable, but for a moment, they were free to enjoy life again. The fresh scent of pine filled the air, and she couldn’t help but notice how the cabins and small buildings created a charming village vibe, reminiscent of a scene from a storybook.
"I want you to meet my mum. She’s going to love you."
His words did little to calm her nerves. Emily started chewing on her bottom lip, a nervous habit she couldn’t shake.
"Hey, don’t worry," Chris said, sensing her anxiety. He squeezed her hand reassuringly. "My mum is the sweetest person you’ll ever meet. Just be yourself, okay?"
She nodded, though her stomach fluttered with anxiety as Chris opened the door. A musical voice floated through the air. She could hear snippets of conversation, but there was only one side—a clear indication that Chris’s mum was on the phone.
"Oh, I got to go; I think they are back," the voice chimed, and just like that, Emily knew they were about to meet.
The sound of footsteps echoed from another room, and Emily’s grip on Chris’s hand tightened instinctively. The door swung open, and there stood Chris’s mother, her warm smile lighting up the space. She had a gentle presence, radiating kindness and warmth that instantly put Emily at ease.
"Chris!" his mother exclaimed, her eyes sparkling as they landed on him. Then, her gaze shifted to Emily, and a soft smile grew on her face. "And you must be Emily! I’ve heard so much about you."
Emily felt her heart race, and she couldn’t help but smile back. "Hi," she said, her voice a little breathless.
Chris’s mother stepped forward, enveloping Emily in a warm embrace that felt like home. "It’s so lovely to finally meet you. Chris has been telling me about you for weeks! I’m so glad you’re here."
Emily’s nervousness began to fade, replaced by the genuine warmth radiating from Chris’s mother. "Thank you," she replied, feeling the comfort of acceptance wash over her.
"I hope you like cookies," his mother continued, stepping back and gesturing towards the kitchen.
"I just baked a fresh batch. Chris used to help me all the time. We’d make a mess, but it was always so much fun!"
Chris laughed, a light sound that made Emily’s heart flutter. "Yeah, I was more interested in eating the cookie dough than actually baking them."
Emily smiled, the tension easing as they settled into a cosy atmosphere. Chris’s mother led them into the kitchen, where the sweet aroma of freshly baked cookies filled the air, inviting and delightful. The kitchen was warm and inviting, with sunlight streaming through the windows, casting a soft glow over everything.
As they sat at the table, Emily couldn’t help but admire the pictures on the walls—framed moments of Chris’s childhood, each telling a story of love and laughter. She felt herself growing fond of this family and of this home.
They had a wonderful lunch, and then Chris’s mother left, saying that she had to run an errand.
Emily and Chris were left alone. She observed him staring at her and raised an eyebrow.
"I was about to become a Neanderthal and hoist you over my shoulder and drag you away for some alone time," Chris growled.
"And who said I wanted to be alone with you?" Emily teased.
Chris reached for her and pulled her into a hug.
He set her down and placed his hands on the side of her face and looked at her. Emily saw so much love and devotion that she never wanted to leave.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, opened his eyes one more time, and took her lips gently in his. This was soft and sweet and full of promise and desire. She wanted more. This taste was not enough; she wrapped her arms around his neck and threaded her hands through his hair as he deepened the kiss. His hands moved from her face down her neck and then down her sides to rest for a moment on her lower back before tracing the curve of her ass and lifting her up. She wrapped her legs around his waist. She could feel the hard planes of his chest pressing into her and caressing her nipples through his t-shirt. His hands were suddenly under the dress, caressing her back and moving towards her ribcage with slow, tender circles. He was driving her mad. She could feel his hardness pressing against her now dripping core. She so wished she had magical powers and could make their clothes disappear. \
Chris started caressing her breasts and teasing her nipples. Emily arched her back, pressing more of herself into his strong hands. She moaned against his tongue. And ran her hands down his back and across his waist to get to the front of his jeans. She needed to feel him inside her now. She managed to get the top button undone and was trying to get his zipper down when he pulled away from her. He grabbed her hands and took a deep breath.
"Stop. If you go there, I won’t be able to stop later. I don’t want to rush you. But I know if you touch me there, I won’t be able to stop."
"What if I don’t want you to stop? Is it not allowed without being mated?" Emily asked breathlessly.
"It is allowed without being mated. We’re very sexual creatures, and we are very passionate. But I don’t know if I can control my Wolf, and I don’t want to hurt or scare you. I may change during the act, and I don’t want you to react badly because my Wolf wouldn’t understand being rejected by ’his’ Mate." Chris explained while kissing her neck and shoulders. They were both hanging on by a thread. She didn’t want to wait anymore.
"I won’t be scared. I want you, and I want you now! I will not react if I feel fur and claws," Emily teased.
She didn’t wait for his response. She wrapped her hand around his hardness and started stroking him through his jeans. Chris closed his eyes and tilted his head back with a sigh.
