The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!

Chapter 1625 460

Chapter 1625 460

If you ignore the Chaos Qi emanating from him, he merely appears to be an ordinary woodcutter standing here.

Erin could sense that although he was also Chaos' Apostle, this guy was essentially different from "Champion" Rolandar.

The latter was immersed in a self-crafted epic and emotion, unable to extricate himself, while the former genuinely harbored ideals and yearned to change something.

It's just that his ideals had clearly been distorted into something else, to the extent that even his soul had become unbearably foul.

As Erin scrutinized Kelan, Kelan was also observing the "golden-sparkling" knight opposite him.

Though her hair was silver instead of the rumored golden, he could immediately see that this person was the legendary Erin Campbell.

Moving past his trusted aide, Kelan walked alone to the forefront of the formation.

Looking at Erin and her disciplined troops behind her, he spoke in a calm voice that nonetheless spread through the entire forest.

"Are you Erin Campbell?"

"How dare a mere rebel speak to our Highness—" Theresa's brows furrowed, about to rebuke, but Erin raised her hand to stop her.

Spurring her horse forward two steps, Erin lifted her chin, directly meeting Kelan's arrogant gaze, and spoke in a cold, clear voice.

"I am indeed Erin Campbell, and it seems you must be the legendary 'Green Turban' Kelan? I hadn't expected you to crawl out from your rat hole."

Kelan's lips curled into a cold smile, and he spoke lightly.

"Who I am is not important, but considering you are a good person, I advise you to go back where you came from, and not obstruct the people of Twilight Province from embracing a bright future. Or else... this forest will be your grave."

"Ha, you truly speak boldly."

Erin sneered coldly, responding without any concession.

"I traveled from Rapids Pass, witnessing only burnt villages, slaughtered villagers, and orphans wailing on the ruins. Is this what you call a bright future? Tell me, those who died, where is their future?"

"That was a necessary sacrifice."

Kelan's face was unperturbed, as if the horrific scenes Erin described had nothing to do with him.

He was not surprised at all. Hypocritical Saint Sis believers were certain to talk about the deceased to slander the uprising of the Green Forest Army as evil. However, how could a passionate warrior cease fighting due to such slander?

Did not the Nobles also kill people?

In the past thousand years, how many unjust souls have perished under royal power!

They might have killed some, but compared to true marauders, it is nothing!

"Only by uprooting all decadent Nobles and irrigating this land with their blood can a world truly belonging to the common people be born, saving all those living in deep suffering! You, born with everything, will never understand what it is like to need the Lord's nod for hunting a Wild Rabbit or chopping a tree in the forest! If death could bring equality, I would rather kill a bit more!"

"I really don't understand what you're talking about."

Erin stared directly at him, questioning word by word.

"Perhaps you can tell me, exactly who have you saved? What is that person's name? What village does he live in, where are his village and family now?"

Kelan snorted coldly.

"Do you just keep repeating yourself—"

"Isn't this important?"

Erin glared at him, and that soul-piercing questioning momentarily froze Kelan's sneer, leaving him speechless.

"You can't even name one person! Look at the scorched earth behind you, and the blood on your hands! I haven't seen an inch of soil where your so-called equality exists, I only see a group of rebels, crowned with faux authority, wantonly slaughtering, piecing together a bloody altar with corpses!"

"Not even Nobles, but any person with a conscience, even the Demon King of Thunder County, could never do something so heinous! You turn people into man-eating beasts, turning a person into another's prey—this is the result you gain with death as the price—"

"Shut up!"

Kelan roared, glaring at Erin, yet he did not dare meet her emerald green eyes.

Those eyes, like a flaming sword, shone brighter than the Light of Praise, and even a glance could burn one's soul.

However—

He would not waver.

No matter how dazzling the light, it could not conceal the stink clinging to her, a stench inherent to the lackeys of the Nobles which he could smell!

"You don't understand anything, you only see the immediate ordeal, failing to see the thousand-year oppression behind this pain!"

"So your answer is to kill those who make you feel pain?" Erin's eyes were filled with disappointment, and there was even a trace of imperceptible sorrow.

She could sense that, like herself, he was an idealist. He definitely had not rebelled to kill.

He probably couldn't stand it anymore, and decided to try changing something with his strength... before it all spiraled out of control.

Yet he wasn't as fortunate as she was; that weak seed had been twisted by the Chaos' Evil Spirit before it could sprout.

They were destined not to convince one another.

Perhaps only the swords in their hands could determine who was truly right.

"There's no point in saying more."

Kelan raised the Short Sword in his hand, his eyes filled solely with cold determination.

"Since you refuse to leave, then take your false goodness with you and lie in the coffin that will bury the Old World!"

"Twilight Province is a sacred and inseparable part of the Ryan Kingdom, and the Campbell family will not flee before rebels."

Erin too slowly raised her "Light of Praise," the Sword Blade shining with holy radiance under the gloomy sky, illuminating her snow-white hair.

"I won't let you harm another innocent soul; the Knights of Campbell will end your tyranny here!"

"Just you? Hahaha!"

Kelan laughed loudly, ceasing to hide his aura, enveloping the entire forest with a terrifying momentum in an instant.

That was the aura of a Purple Crystal-level Strong Person!

At the very least, this aura did not belong to Rolandar!

Theresa's eyes widened, looking incredulously at the distant battle formation, struggling to calm her anxious, neighing warhorse.

How could there still be a Purple Crystal-level Strong Person!?

Where did this group of rebels get so many Upper Extraordinary beings!

Not only did Theresa's expression change, even Quentin Copper Furnace's face grew grim, his palm rubbing against the axe handle.

Noticing all those astonished faces, Kelan grinned menacingly, pointing his Sword Blade at Erin, speaking his words slowly and deliberately.

"It seems the Divine is on my side."

His voice hadn't yet faded when an untimely voice interrupted his arrogance.

"That can't be said for sure."
