Chapter 1434 - 415: Prince Who Conquers the Skies (Part 3)

Perhaps for powerful Mages, flying is not considered an extraordinary miracle; it's merely a matter of waving a Magic Wand.

However, for mortals without Extraordinary Power, soaring above the sky has been a dream for almost everyone.

Now, they can finally stand tall with pride, responding confidently—

We can too!

Alberto wiped the sweat from his forehead, turned around, and shouted excitedly at the still thrilled apprentices.

"Quick! Go to the Tower of Great Sage! Inform the Prince! Our 'No.2 Machine'… no! Our 'Far Voyager' can finally fly!!"

...

Unlike the shimmering snowy plains, Professor Hector's office was dimly lit and the air was stifling, resembling a gloomy Dungeon.

On the towering bookshelves, piles of documents almost overflowed, squeezing the entire room to leave only narrow passages.

Since the Maze incident, the Great Sage's lukewarm attitude towards him, coupled with the open and secret exclusion from scholars of other factions, has left the usually meticulous professor feeling overwhelmed.

Ever since "the servant of Chaos Apostle" appeared by his side, many Masters and Professors who used to collaborate closely with him have deliberately or inadvertently distanced themselves, leaving him to face the burgeoning workload alone.

At the same time, fearing he might overwork himself, the higher-ups at the Tower of Sages suddenly began to cut his new project's budget.

It's just a budget, not the Void Realm. He really can't comprehend what exactly these people are reviewing; couldn't they just approve it directly?

With Imperial financial backing, when has the Academic State ever been short of money!

Hector irritably threw a rejected research budget application onto the table, scattering papers everywhere.

He felt as if the entire High Tower was against him, every gust of wind blowing through the window seemed to carry a mocking tone.

"When you're down on your luck, even cold water clogs your teeth…" he muttered an old saying, shook his head, and waved his Magic Wand, causing the fallen budget application to float back onto the table.

Just then, a short and light knocking sounded at the door, and Hector impatiently responded.

"Come in."

The door was pushed open, and Assistant Keji walked in. His steps were light as usual, but his face, usually filled with a smile, now seemed somewhat heavy.

He gently placed a letter and a delicate wooden box maintained at a constant temperature with Magic Runes on the only vacant spot on Hector's desk.

"Professor, Prince Colin sent me with this." Keji reported briefly and then stood aside, waiting for instructions.

Hector frowned, filled with doubt.

This guy, who never plays by the rules, always barges into his place like he's going home; since when has he become so courteous?

He suspiciously waved his hand, signaling Keji to withdraw.

Once the office door was shut again, his gaze fell upon the two items on the desk, and then he reached for the wooden box emanating a slight chill.

The moment the lid was opened, a refreshing sweet fragrance mixed with pure Magic Power instantly filled the dim room.

Five plump and round fruits lay quietly on the velvet lining, their clear shells reflecting a star-like brilliance as if they were transparent glass.

Hector stood frozen, incredulous, eyes wide open.

This... is the "Star Falling Fruit"?!

Instinctively, he picked one up, its cool and soft touch seeped through his palm into his heart. Just a slight sniff of the enchanting fragrance was enough to calm his mind.

Without hesitation, Hector quickly closed the box.

This kind of good stuff must be savored slowly; every part from the shell to the flesh should be fully utilized; wasting even a hint of that aroma would be sacrilege.

Hector took a deep breath, as if to inhale even the stray aromas into his belly, finally calming his racing heartbeat.

However, soon, accompanying confusion ensnared him, prompting a puzzled expression to emerge.

"Strange…" he muttered.

The Prince, who always pilfers from him, actually gave him a gift unexpectedly? And such a precious item!

Hector had only heard of this; even in the Great Sage's garden, such top-level Magic Materials were scarce.

Simply unavailable on the market.

With an apprehensive suspicion, Hector put down the box containing the fruits and reached for the unopened letter.

Though he hadn't seen the contents, even using his toes, he could guess that brat was, without doubt, bringing him a big trouble again.

Based on the principle that one must repay kindness, Professor Hector pondered that he should help the Prince.

Unfortunately, with his current state being dire, he might not be of much use…

It must be said that this straightforward professor perhaps doesn't understand Prince Colin better than his own Assistant Keji.

If the Prince needs him for anything, he never writes letters or sends messages; it is always discussed face-to-face.

As he tore open the envelope, that unpredictable fellow unsurprisingly once again caught him off guard.

The letter carried a faint ink aroma, with its elegant and strong handwriting as usual, writing in a few lines of farewell and best wishes.
