The Kingpin's Possession

39: Unexpected Promises

39: Unexpected Promises

Kit:Kit looked up at the apartment building that the car had stopped under, before P’Kim held the door open for him so he could get out of the car.

It was that same apartment at the fourteenth floor that they had made love in for the second time. To think that it was only a couple days since that incident and yet, P’Kim had been through so much in such a short span of time…

P’Kim took his hand as he led him back up to that apartment and all the while, he could feel his heart hammer inside his chest as his mind played all the events that all led to this moment in time.

As they reached the designated floor and entered the familiar apartment, Kit once again found himself being pushed against the wall before P’Kim’s lips descended upon his, his hands winding itself in his hair.

“P’Kim…” Kit pushed him back reluctantly; licking his lips to get rid of the sensation that slowing started to flood his veins. “Can we please talk first?”

“What’s there to talk about?” Kim swallowed, his eyes fixated on Kit’s plump, pink lips. “I’ll let P’Kla talk her out of it and then there shouldn’t be any more problems.”

“But your problems won’t go away, will it?” Kit asked Kim, his eyes serious as he held him back at arm’s length. “Lung“That bastard is only looking for loopholes to get his hands on our family fortune.” P’Kim snapped, moving away from Kit to control his anger. “He and our aunt think that they can get whatever they want just by existing! And yet, when our father was alive, they still gave him a hard time about everything, trying to overrule his decisions until he completely cut them out of his life and worked separately.”

Kim turned to look at Kit, his eyes ablaze with anger. “And they taunted him, saying that he would surely fail without them, but in the end, my father became more successful, bigger than they could’ve ever dreamed about. And after years of staying out of our hair, that bastard is back once again to try and make my life hell by showing that he still has a say in any of this?”

“P’Kim…that’s not-”

“Kaya shouldn’t have interfered, Kit.” Kimhan sighed, rubbing tiredly at his eyes. “But mai pan rai“P’KIM!”

It was only when Kit shouted to get his attention that Kim realized that he had been pacing around the living area continuously, showing just how restless he was in the situation. In reality, no matter what he said, he was a lot more riled up by the sudden appearance of LungHe turned to face Kit as he approached him, placing his hands on his shoulders as a means to ground him to the present.

“P’Kim…I think you should go forward with it.” Kit urged for him to understand, his eyes shining with an unknown emotion that he couldn’t really decipher. “Wasn’t that the condition you made when she first arrived at your mansion? Wasn’t that the whole reason you sought her out in the first place?”

“No.” Kim immediately denied the allegation. “The reason I sought her out was because I was worried about my best friend and how she had gotten herself into this situation where she was selling off her womb in the black market for money! But now, everything has changed, Kit. Having to marry her to get an heir? Do you understand what that means?”

“Yes.” Kit nodded, his lips trembling slightly before he steadied his nerves, not wanting to become weak in a situation like this. “That’s why I’m saying this…marry her and have the child. After you two divorce, we can still be together. But for now…she can give you something that I can’t, P’Kim. Let my sister do this much for you, for everything you’ve done for us.”

“Stop talking nonsense, Kit!” Kim snapped, grabbing onto Kit’s shoulders and shaking him gently, even though he wasn’t in control of his temper. “It doesn’t matter to me if I can have a child or not…but marrying your sister like that? Do you really think it won’t affect our relationship at all? Do you really think you’ll be able to stop yourself from thinking the worst?”

Kit swallowed the lump forming in his throat, trying to form a response…but nothing came to mind. He knew that P’Kim was right, even though he knew that there was nothing going on between him and his sister, once they are married and the baby is on the way, he wouldn’t be able to stop himself from worrying that the child might make him change his mind…or that after finding himself married to his sister and having a perfect life, he wouldn’t want to divorce and come back to Kit again.

“Remember how long you hesitated when you thought that there was something going on between me and Kaya, when you first came to the mansion?” Kim asked, his own mind racing with all kinds of thoughts. “Do you think you can stop yourself from thinking that something is going on between me and Kaya after this sham of a marriage is set in motion?”

Kit wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. Wasn’t he just thinking about it? It felt like P’Kim could read him like an open book while he had no clue as to what might be going on inside his head.

“And what about me?”

Startled by the sudden change in topic, Kit looked up into P’Kim’s eyes, searching for answering to all the questions swarming his mind. “What?”

“What do you think I would feel when I’m married to your sister but my heart belongs to you?” Kim asked genuinely, his own mind a whirlwind of swirling emotions. “Don’t my feelings matter to you? Do you ever stop to think that this marriage would put me in a difficult position?”

“I do.” Kit looked down at the carpeted floor. “I do think about you. I’m asking you to do this because I care about you and I don’t want for you to get in trouble with your family, that’s why I want you to go through with this marriage. But…”

“But what?” Kim asked, on the verge of frustration. “But what, Kit?”

“When you’re married to my sister…” Kit swallowed, his lips trembling as he tried to force the words out. “…promise me that…you won’t…that…please don’t ever cheat on her!”

The next instant, Kit found himself falling back. Everything happened so quick that he didn’t even think to reach out to steady himself, but fortunately, his fall was broken when he landed hard on the couch, more startled than hurt.

“P’Kim…”

Kimhan climbed on top of him on the couch, his face contorted in anger…and then he kissed him, his fury transferred into the kiss as he place a hand on Kit’s throat, holding him in place as he continued to attack his lips with a fervor Kit had never felt before.

Previously, when they had made love, Kim had never been this rough with him, but now, he felt his punishing weight on top of him, his lips moving roughly on top of his, harsh enough to bruise. And that hand on his neck…it felt like a possessive hold that he couldn’t let go of even if he wanted to.

And he never wanted P’Kim to let go.

Kimhan moved back panting, his eyes landing on Kit’s swollen lips, a clear sign that he hadn't been able to control his anger. But as he swiped his thumb over Kit’s lips, his hazel eyes staring up at him in almost a trance…he couldn’t help himself.

“If you’re done throwing these demands and promises at me, then it’s now my turn now.” Kim snapped, removing his hand from Kit’s neck before reaching for his shirt.

From this close, he could see the gold flakes in Kit’s eyes clearly as he stared up at Kim, his breath coming in pants as well.

“P’Kim…” he let out a breathless moan, and Kim felt it throughout his body, making his cock strain against his pants.

“Promise me, that until the wedding happens…you’re mine,” Kim leaned down to whisper in Kit’s ears, feeling a shudder ripple through his body with a satisfied smirk. “Whenever I want, wherever I want you…you’ll do as I say. You’ll let me have you as I please.”

When he rose up once again, he could see Kit’s eyes bulging out of his head in shock, but he felt even more breathless…and if the bulge of his pants under him was any indication…Kit liked the idea as well.

“Tell me.” Kim urged. “Promise me, Kit. If I’m to hold myself back for a year, thanks to your demands…then I’ll need to make sure I get my fill beforehand.”

Kit swallowed, not sure if he could take on that promise. But it was his sister’s happiness that mattered as well, and even if the marriage was a sham, he wanted his sister to have the perfect wedding.

A year…

An entire year without touching P’Kim…without feeling his lips on him…

Had he really bitten off more than he could chew?

“I promise.”

He muttered at last. Because even though he might have to stay away from P’Kim for almost a year…after this trial had passed, there would be nothing holding him back.
