The Invincible Young Master

Chapter 247 247 - Asura

Chapter 247 247 - Asura

The roar shook the pillars, ripping chunks of stone from the ceiling. Winds surged outward, sending dust and debris spiraling like a sandstorm.

A thick, muscular neck extended from beneath the floating head, followed by a bulky torso surging into existence.

Then four monstrous arms burst out from its sides, each one marked with binding scars.

Within heartbeats, a towering abomination stood on the stair, its body overflowing with violent energy. The air warped around it, as if reality itself struggled to contain its presence.

A spiritual pressure equal to the ruin lord's, maybe even heavier, rolled across the hall.

Below, hardened soldiers dropped to one knee, trembling uncontrollably.

Even the ruin beasts recoiled, instincts screaming at them to submit or flee.

The silver-armored commander stared upward, sweat running down his temples.

Reynold's warning pulsed through his mind. They had been given strict orders: this creature was to be released only if Reynold was absent, or unable to take the field.

For the monster had no mind of its own. It would attack the strongest aura it sensed.

And now… It was loose.

High on the stair, the ruin lord's stepped forward, her skin glowing with restored vitality.

The abomination faced her, its four arms flexing, muscles twisting with raw, primal hunger.

Their auras collided, two ancient forces crashing in the still air.

Silica raised her head as the four-armed monstrosity climbed the stair, each heavy step cracking ancient stone. Its shadow swallowed half the chamber's light, and its crimson eyes burned with hatred so fierce it felt almost alive.

"A living Asura…" she whispered, her voice smooth and steady despite the madness before her. "So this is their trump card."

The creature answered with another thunderous roar. Dust rained from the ceiling. Its four arms scraped gouges from the stairs as it charged upward, its twisted muscles swelling with every stride.

There was no thought in those eyes, only fury, instinct, and the hunger to crush whatever threatened it.

Just as it reached the top of the stair, Silica vanished.

She appeared in front of the beast in the blink of an eye, floating weightlessly, her long hair drifting around her like strands of shadow.

Against its enormous, ridge-covered form, she looked impossibly small, frail even, yet her presence eclipsed the creature's rage.

She raised one delicate palm.

[{Fall}]

For a heartbeat, everything froze.

The Asura trembled. Its fiery pupils dimmed.

Its lids slid halfway shut, as if the command sank into the deepest part of its soul.

Silence fell.

Then,

GRRRRAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Its eyes burst open again, burning twice as furiously as before. Two massive arms lunged upward, trying to grab her from the air.

Silica slipped away like drifting smoke, reappearing at the top of the stair. One brow lifted slightly, her expression unreadable.

"…I see."

The beast's gaze locked onto her, wild, blood-mad, trembling with a killing intent so heavy it felt physical.

A soft sigh escaped her.

"How pitiful," she murmured. "Such a glorious race… reduced to a mindless puppet."

Her voice lowered further, touched with something almost gentle. "I'll free you."

The Asura screamed again and swung all four arms at once, tearing entire slabs of the stair free.

Ancient stone blocks, some larger than houses, ripped into the air and hurtled toward her like falling mountains.

Silica's hand moved lightly.

And a massive claw of dark miasma erupted from her arm, its fingers sharp enough to carve through space itself. It tore forward with a shriek, meeting the rain of stone head-on.

The Asura reacted instantly.

It mimicked her movement, its four arms carving the same arc through the air, yet no miasma flowed from its limbs.

Instead, Space bent.

A translucent claw formed out of collapsing dimensions, rippling like a reflection on broken glass. It lunged toward her miasma construct with murderous force.

The two claws met in midair.

The collision split the stair in half, miasma and warped space crashing together as the ruin trembled under their clash.

BOOOOM!!!

A thunderous shockwave rolled outward, bending the air and cracking space itself like splintering glass. Everything caught between their clash vanished without a trace, swallowed cleanly into nothing.

Silica's silver hair fluttered from the recoil.

She narrowed her eyes, the corner of her lips curving with amusement.

"Mindless, yet you still cling to instinct… Not bad."

She thrust her arm forward. A twisted claw of miasma burst out, howling like a beast hungry for flesh.

The Asura reacted instantly. All four of its warped arms shot out, shaping another spatial claw that tore the air open.

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

Their claws collided again and again, each impact blooming into a violent shockwave that rattled the entire chamber. Cracks shot through the ancient walls, and chunks of stone rained down like a crumbling sky.

Below, coalition soldiers stood rooted to the ground, their legs shaking under the weight of the pressure.

Ruin creatures crawled backward, their instincts screaming at them to flee.

None dared move.

This battlefield belonged only to those two beings.

Above the stairway, miasma and warped space clashed like two raging storms. Their claws met at the center in a brutal rhythm, carving new scars into the air with every strike.

CRRRR-ACK

Reality flickered.

The stair, the walls… the entire chamber trembled like a dying flame struggling to stay alight.

Another deafening impact roared, and the world split apart.

The scene changed in a single blink.

The chamber disappeared, replaced by the vast flatland once more. The towering monolith cast its endless shadow across the earth, silent and unmoved.

But the ruin lord and the Asura still hovered in the sky, locked in their deadly dance, neither giving way.

Their power continue to grow. The air thickened. Pressure rolled across the plain like a storm about to swallow the horizon.

The sky trembled. The earth groaned and split open.

The world itself seemed ready to tear apart.

The flatland shook like a terrified creature.

Cracks raced across the ground, splitting the land in every direction as their clash intensified.

Then, the entire plain caved in.

The land dropped several meters in a single breath, breaking apart like brittle pottery.

A colossal crater opened beneath them, swallowing ancient stones and shattered ruin fragments as the earth collapsed into a hollow abyss.
