Chapter 815 815: Clear Rewards and Punishments
Chapter 815 815: Clear Rewards and Punishments
Investment promotion has always been a top priority for local governments.
After all, the first thing a county notices is definitely the economy, and everything else can make way for economic development.
Cheng Jiayao has been in the position of director for so many years, and used to struggle to find even one capable company a year.
Now Lin Hao has brought in a major company for her, and she couldn't be happier.
"I'll give you President Fang Mengzhu's contact from the Chenbang Real Estate Company. Send them an invitation to come and inspect the new city district construction project next week…"
"You can arrange the itinerary as you see fit, but make sure to include a visit to Zhenjiang Village, a tour of Wucheng County's old town, a seminar, and an evening banquet…"
Lin Hao instructed in detail.
"Don't worry, County Magistrate Lin, I promise to arrange everything perfectly," Cheng Jiayao replied.
"To be honest, President Fang is my high school classmate. She's coming over this time as a favor to me, so try to negotiate some favorable policies with her," Lin Hao said.
"High school classmate? Was she your first love?" Cheng Jiayao teased with a smile.
"She's from a wealthy family, way out of my league," Lin Hao shook his head, not revealing his identity with Fang Mengzhu.
Cheng Jiayao blinked charmingly, "You're our esteemed county magistrate—maybe she has her eye on you?"
"What? Are you jealous?" Lin Hao glanced up and down at her, looking mischievous.
Today, Cheng Jiayao was wearing a simple white cotton skirt, with a white top. Beneath the thin fabric, a pair of full and firm peaks were almost bursting out.
Her short skirt outlined a perfect curve with her rounded and ample hips, paired with long, slender legs, and delicate calves in small sandals.
This beauty exuded the charm of a mature woman, evoking a strong urge to snatch her up.
"I'm not jealous. You can do whatever you want. What I do is none of your business either," Cheng Jiayao retorted.
"Why do you seem like a bitter woman? Are you feeling itchy down there?" Lin Hao grinned wickedly.
"Stop right there, I'm not itchy," Cheng Jiayao replied shyly, giving him a sideways glance.
Lin Hao glanced at the closed door, waved her over, and said, "Come here, I'll help you with that itch."
"No need, I have to send out the invitations. I don't have time to entertain you," Cheng Jiayao replied, blushing even more.
Lin Hao grabbed her delicate hand with a playful laugh, "It's just an invitation, no need to rush."
"By the way, are you free tonight? My best friend wants to invite you to dinner," Cheng Jiayao said.
"I don't want dinner, I want you," Lin Hao grinned mischievously.
"Stop playing around. Tonight you can have your fill!" Cheng Jiayao twisted her body, clearly intending to escape.
"A feast with ulterior motives. Tell me, does your friend need my help with something?" Lin Hao's mind was sharp.
"She didn't say. You'll have to ask her yourself tonight," Cheng Jiayao replied with a sly smile.
"Didn't I introduce her to some deals last time? Is she still not satisfied?" Lin Hao joked.
"You know, there's never too much business. Isn't that new electric vehicle project about to launch soon?" Cheng Jiayao grinned evilly.
"Hehehe..." Lin Hao laughed heartily, "So this is what you guys are planning!"
"Come on, help her out. She's my best friend." Cheng Jiayao tugged at Lin Hao's hand, pleading.
"Alright, dinner depends on timing. We'll see when the time comes," Lin Hao reluctantly agreed.
"I knew you'd be the best!" Cheng Jiayao smiled.
"Right, there's one more thing I need you to take care of," Lin Hao said seriously.
"What is it?" Cheng Jiayao's smile faded.
"Well, the high-quality economic and trade fair was a great success. Draft a reward plan; I want to reward the relevant departments," Lin Hao explained in detail.
Lately, the county office, government office, Investment Promotion Bureau, Commerce Bureau, and other departments have worked tirelessly, round the clock.
Lin Hao believed that effort should be rewarded; otherwise, the enthusiasm would diminish.
Leadership boils down to clear rewards and punishment, knowing how to use people wisely.
Listening to his task assignments, Cheng Jiayao couldn't help but admire him. After all, leaders offering bonus rewards are rare.
Many leaders think it's enough to feed themselves, not caring about the welfare of their subordinates.
County Magistrate Lin is an exception: honest, not seeking personal benefit, no corruption, fully committed to improving Wucheng County's economy. What a rare good official!
"County Magistrate Lin, you need to give me a figure," Cheng Jiayao smiled mysteriously.
Lin Hao had spoken at length but hadn't mentioned actual numbers—that's the crux of the matter.
Hopefully it's not just a token amount?
"How about this: what do you think is appropriate for departmental leaders? Then reduce accordingly for others," Lin Hao passed the ball to her.
"The high-quality economic and trade fair lasted a little over a week. Calculating three times the wages, maybe not even ten thousand. How about a ten thousand subsidy?" Cheng Jiayao said with a smile.
As the director of the Investment Promotion Bureau and government office chief, she stood to gain twenty thousand—a nice little bonus.
"Alright, twenty thousand for each department leader!" Lin Hao decided firmly.
"What? Twenty thousand? That much?" Cheng Jiayao exclaimed in surprise.
Given her current wage of just a few thousand, twenty thousand was a substantial sum—no wonder she was shocked!
"It's not much, really. Everybody has worked hard during this time. Reward where reward is due. Our county isn't short on money right now," Lin Hao said with a rich demeanor.
"County Magistrate Lin, I must thank you on behalf of everyone," Cheng Jiayao laughed and mockingly bowed.
"Stop this nonsense!"
Lin Hao lightly slapped her hand, seriously adding, "As for the clerks, reduce accordingly. Include those involved in cleaning, sanitation, and on duty police and traffic officers in the reward scheme."
"County Magistrate Lin, you're want to benefit all departments!" Cheng Jiayao joked.
Lin Hao's expression became serious, contemplating: "Even so, we can't benefit all departments. Participants will get rewards, but non-participants will inevitably feel uneasy. Non-participants will just receive a third, that's all."
"Every department, even those not involved?" Cheng Jiayao seemed a bit puzzled.
"Although some departments didn't participate, we can't let them feel neglected. If other departments receive rewards later, they can benefit too, and won't hold grudges," Lin Hao considered thoroughly.
