Chapter 768: Valentiina Colorful-Winged
Chapter 768: Valentiina Colorful-Winged
Valentiina reached out in disbelief to grasp Tao Gong's shoulders. Amidst the slight shaking and such an astonishing question, it made Tao Gong's expression increasingly shriveled.
She gently reached out to pat the back of Valentiina's hand, attempting to make her calm down a bit, simultaneously continuing to say,
"You should know, back then after Fafnir threw Mother's tree roots here, he remodeled the terrain here. Mother's spatial power warped the Sema Snow Mountains as well as the entire terrain of the northern part of the Northern Border. The Phoenix also thereby settled down, remaking the Wutong."
At this moment, within the Phoenix Hall deep within the Wutong Tree, the three of Valentiina, Tao Gong, and Fisher were in the hall.
Valentiina sat on the throne wearing the Tree Continent's elegant long robe, while Tao Gong's body was draped in a bear skin coat, even bearing unmelted snowflakes on her body. Evidently she just returned from outside, discovering something to tell Valentiina.
"Meaning..."
"Ah, indeed. You also know, the already dead me was blessed by Mother's power to be able to persist within the tree roots, to the extent of later acquainting with you then to nowadays regaining a new life. But due to my departure, the power of Mother's tree roots also generated fluctuations, causing massive changes to appear in the northern terrain... The ice cap over there completely collapsed, resulting in a tsunami, sparking no small aftermath..."
Valentiina widened her eyes, becoming motionless exactly like a sculpture.
"Hey, trash fish? Trash fish? Why not moving..."
Tao Gong doubtfully reached her own hand out dangling it before the eyes of that completely sluggish Valentiina, yet she still entirely had no reaction, making her increasingly perplexed. It was still the Fisher draped in a cold-warding greatcloak by the side who knew the reason within it. He sighed, bitterly smiling towards Tao Gong saying,
"Thank you for your trouble going to check the situation, Tao Gong. Merely, I heard a portion of the Giant Troll-kin in the north relocated to live by the seaside, were they affected?"
Hearing Fisher's words, Valentiina only then ferociously snapped back to her senses, her expression also becoming much more solemn. Hurriedly she asked,
"Yes, Elder Darivuvu and Elder Kokolia merely went not long ago, how is the situation?"
"So it was because of this ah..." Tao Gong blinked her eyes, waving her hand extremely disdainfully saying, "With me setting out what could happen? That bunch of trash fishes are extremely well, the tsunami was also stopped by me, no need to worry."
Fisher nodded, speaking a sentence not knowing whether it was praise or not,
"As expected of you, Tao Gong."
"Hmph hmph, of course."
But Tao Gong simply couldn't be bothered to analyze the meaning of Fisher's words. She stuck up her nose, hands on hips an appearance of being proud to the heavens, but very quickly she coughed lightly anew, turning her head preparing to leave,
"Alight alright, I'm leaving. You two trash fishes go play yourselves. By the way afterwards I'm going to leave the Northern Border to take a trip south, haven't gone home to look for a long time, giving myself a vacation. You too, Valentiina, don't tightly bind yourself processing the Wutong Tree's matters every day. Having time go take a stroll outside with him, resting for one or two days this broken place won't collapse..."
The so-called "home" referred to the ruins of the Tree Continent south of the Southern Continent right.
Tao Gong swept down the hood of the bear fur coat, immediately and subsequently strutting about turning her head to leave. Thus solely Fisher and Valentiina remained as two people within the immense hall.
Looking at Tao Gong's departing back figure, Valentiina sighed a massive sigh, the sound heard clearly and plainly.
"Sigh..."
But having just finished sighing, she recalled Fisher was still by her side anew. Thus she slightly reddened her face, embarrassedly looking at the Fisher by her side,
"Sorry, a bit embarrassing."
Yet Fisher didn't mind, because he knew the true reason for Valentiina's sigh,
"What's there to this... thinking about the matter of the Colorful-Winged Whale?"
"Ah... mhm." Valentiina didn't expect Fisher still remembered so clearly. At this moment as Fisher pointed it out she unavoidably smiled bitterly and admitted, "Have already waited for so long already. Previously even troubled Miss Jasmine and Fisher going down to take a look, even thought there was a bit of hope..."
Colorful-Winged Whale, a kind of legendary creature unique within the Northern Ocean circle of the Northern Border, which became a peerless landscape within the Northern Border's legends with its magnificent posture and massive fin-like limbs exactly as magnificent as colorful wings.
For thousands of years, the Colorful-Winged Whale solely appeared within epics and poems, to the extent that other beings had long forgotten about it early on.
But fortunately, Valentiina's parents who departed early left behind for her a photo of witnessing the Colorful-Winged Whale with their own eyes. To the extent making her linger up to this day, becoming an indispensable part within her dreams.
According to Valentiina's mother's notes, this kind of whale lived within the massive space beneath the ice cap. Other beings have never visited there before, the scene within also remains unknown, merely deduced to know it definitely possesses a massive barrier with the outside, otherwise the Colorful-Winged Whale living inside wouldn't be this rare either.
In order to satisfy Valentiina's wish, roughly half a year ago, Fisher once deep dived into the Northern Ocean together with Jasmine, attempting to find that mysterious space beneath the ice cap as well as the legendary Colorful-Winged Whale.
Find, they did find it. Beneath that ice cap truly existed an extremely broad space, to the extent of possessing air and vegetation.
The bad news however was, the ecology there was especially fragile, moreover the entrance opened periodically along with the movement of the ice cap.
To forcefully open the ice cap against the cycle, with Fisher's rank he naturally could do it, yet it was hard to guarantee it wouldn't destroy the ecology inside. Forcefully entering to search for the Colorful-Winged Whale could conversely cause the tragedy of leading to their extermination precisely for the sake of seeing the Colorful-Winged Whale.
Thus, Valentiina decisively gave up. She decided to wait for the ice cap to open naturally, to wait for the day the Colorful-Winged Whale floated completely to the water surface itself to display its posture.
Clearly intended like so already, today yet Tao Gong returned to inform the news of the complete annihilation of the space beneath the ice cap due to the fluctuation of the World Tree roots' power...
Without even needing to think, living under that kind of fragile ecological environment, when a nest is overturned, how can any eggs remain intact?
The more she thought, the more bitter Valentiina's expression became. Lowering her head, exactly as if her entire person wilted.
Silent for a long while, the cyan feathers behind her slightly trembled, immediately and subsequently she also arduously regained her spirit to raise her head, forcing a smile and saying,
"Well, but this is also something with no alternative, it's fine, Fisher..."
Fisher extended a warm large hand from beneath the greatcloak stroking her forehead once, making her narrow her eyes, seemingly feeling a tickle,
"You ah, do you like suppressing matters at the bottom of your heart to digest so much? That place is not a stomach, doesn't have that many acidic substances to help you digest them."
"Wuuu..."
Aggrievedly Valentiina lowered her head, while Fisher also opportunely slightly raised his hand, actively proposing,
"How about we personally take a trip to the Northern Ocean to take a look again... Firstly, over there even if Tao Gong acted personally, presumably the Giant Trolls nonetheless still suffered a fright; Secondly, arriving there I can dive down again to confirm once more, be it destroyed, perhaps there might be lucky ones escaping from within; Finally..."
Speaking to the end, his coarse fingers traced the outline of her temples downward, gently rubbing the exhausted traces beneath her eyes,
"Even if ultimately finding no Colorful-Winged Whale, there is also the place where your parents once personally traveled far to. You should go take a look, properly relax."
Valentiina opened her mouth slightly hesitant, while Fisher asked anew,
"How about it?"
"Mhm!"
Beneath Fisher's broad gentle comforting, Valentiina finally agreed, nodding forcefully, deciding to head together with Fisher to the northernmost tip of the Northern Border.
"Hoo! Hoo!"
Clearly the sun is that bright, but the sun of winter days in the Northern Border even if this dazzling, when shining upon a boundless white expanse of snow with no end in sight it solely appears that desolate.
Here is the northernmost place of the Northern Border. Leaving the northernmost land of the Northern Border this place is covered in glaciers, stepped beneath the feet are entirely exactly like rock facing the Northern Border's knife-like wind and snow tests for who knows how many years of ice blocks.
Beneath the glacier cliffs, that ocean still displaying pure black beneath the sunlight's shine roared, slapping the mountain and leaving...
"Boom!!!"
Yet who could have thought in the next second, along with a water pillar surging violently into the sky, a thoroughly drenched figure also tightly rapidly dashed out from the water, flying high before landing again by the edge of the glacier. Looking closely, it was exactly Fisher.
"Pitter-patter... pitter-patter..."
Fisher took a deep breath, anew breathing the air above the surface. Subsequently quickly walking toward the camp tent he already pitched up on the glacier.
Of course, camp tents of the Northern Border had a very enormous difference compared to tents pitched in other places. If one wanted to avoid the bedding being blown away by the wild wind at night, Fisher spent quite a lot of thought. Using giant steel bolts, woolen blankets and various heating magic to create an incomparably exaggerated warm little home, comfortable to the extreme.
In short, here will be their base camp for touring in the Northern Border for the next few days.
He picked up a towel wiping the water droplets off his body, subsequently hurriedly draping on the fur greatcloak.
White breath tumbled within his mouth. Silently he sat by the heating magic currently boiling hot water outside the camp tent, drawing from its temperature. With his rank, his body temperature very quickly recovered to normal.
Merely he looked at the ocean outside that glacier, his face was somewhat complicated, not knowing what he was thinking.
"Hoo..."
"Fisher!"
"Rumble rumble!"
Right at this moment, Valentiina's intimate calling first transmitted from the sky, subsequently followed by the exaggerated-to-the-extreme sonic boom when the Phoenix Race flew.
The air was bundled and spread out fluctuating, blowing the long robe of Fisher fluttering. He stood up, looking at the Valentiina retracting her wings and slowly descending behind him, asking,
"Valentiina, you're back, how is it over at the Giant Trolls?"
"Pretty much the same as what Tao Gong said, they are completely fine..."
While Valentiina looked at the still undried wet hair on Fisher's head, knowing he just returned from within the sea. Previously they acted separately, Valentiina went over there to check the situation of the Giant Troll-kin's new settlement, while Fisher deep dived down to see the appearance deep beneath the ice cap right now...
Her eyes brightened slightly, bursting with expectant light,
"How is it, the situation below?"
Fisher's expression was somewhat hesitating to speak, but finally he still shook his head, replying,
"Fragments all over down below, there are also quite a few residual bodies of creatures I haven't seen before, the ecology inside is completely ruined... I went inside and examined, originally it should have been a relatively sealed ecology inside, having a cycle of oxygen, therefore the Colorful-Winged Whales could exchange breath and survive within... Now it's entirely flooded full by seawater, fusing as one with the outside, the creatures inside also basically have no survivors."
"..."
Valentiina's fragrant lips parted slightly. Blankly staring for a good while before saying somewhat regretfully,
"I see..."
Catching a glimpse of her regret, Fisher supplemented saying,
"But it's also not definite... because no one knows the real-time situation down below back then. Even Tao Gong also only went to step in to stop the waves from spreading to the land after sensing the tsunami. And the Colorful-Winged Whale is the sole kind of creature recorded to leave that ecology, this precisely proves they possess the ability to adapt to both inner and outer different environments. Perhaps when the ice cap collapsed back then, there were some lucky ones that escaped?"
Hearing this, Valentiina smiled faintly. She shook her head and crouched down, only until this moment did Fisher discover she was holding a moderately sized cloth parcel in her bosom.
"It's fine... Fisher, look at these."
She opened that cloth parcel, scattering down quite a few notebooks from within. The cover names of the notebooks varied, but were all written personally by someone.
Fisher lowered his head. Looking at the covers of the notebooks scattered all over the ground, written upon it in Northern Border language was,
"Examination of the North Ocean's Surrounding Topography", "Illustrated Handbook of Biological Life Upon Ice", "Photo Album"...
Having everything, solitarily absent of that notebook detailing the Colorful-Winged Whale.
Hence Fisher raised his eyebrows, asking,
"These are?"
"All are notes written by Mom and Dad after coming here to travel back then, documenting the Colorful-Winged Whale's information is merely one among originally several notebooks, that photo possessing the true face of the Colorful-Winged Whale is also collected within this photo album..."
Valentiina opened the photo album, flipping over page by page. Fisher saw two extremely young couples, their entire bodies wrapped in thick fur clothing, both hands gripping snowfield travel tools smiling at the camera lens.
At that time the Cardinal color photography technology still didn't exist. Taking photos required carrying a very heavy machine, the left behind photos were still black and white.
Within the photo album were large amounts of precious memories left behind by Valentiina's parents, assorted demi-human portraits along the way, assorted natural landscapes, rare plants and animals. And at the very end of all the photos, only then did Fisher finally see that photo of the Colorful-Winged Whale.
In the photo, more than half of that giant whale's soaring into the air posture was captured by the camera, but the head and tail of the whale as well as the fin-like limbs on both sides were hard to be accommodated by the photo frame due to its massive bodily size.
The photo wasn't complete, moreover still black and white, but the posture was generally similar to that Colorful-Winged Whale creatively constructed by Valentiina that Fisher saw within the Dream magic.
Looking at Fisher carefully sizing up gaze, Valentiina faintly smiled, explaining,
"Photos don't have colors and also aren't complete huh. That one you saw in the dream previously was merely my subjective fabrication based on the description of my parents' notes, don't know if it resembles the real one or not, but what I want to say isn't this...
"I'm saying, Fisher look, actually Mom and Dad back then walking through here saw lots of things along the way, not solely the Colorful-Winged Whale. Elaborating meticulously, the Colorful-Winged Whale is actually more like an unexpected gift during Mom and Dad's journey, and not their original aim of coming here, it's merely that for a long time I was occupied by its radiance drawing all my line of sight over. Thus, before coming actually I was already prepared to never see it again...
"But it's fine, I brought all the other notebooks, being able to see these is also good enough."
Actually how could she not know Fisher's previous words were words of comfort, and how could Fisher not know the disappointment faintly spilling out from within her heart. But since Valentiina chose to face it with a strong smile, Fisher also smoothly followed up.
"Okay... then let's stroll around the vicinity these few days. Hm... how about following the route of Uncle and Auntie?"
Fisher smilingly raised the photo album she brought, proposing like so. Simultaneously sizing up the luggage nearby, before Valentiina even opened her mouth to agree, he gently reached out and beckoned, taking a Cardinal camera into his hands, pointing at the present beautiful as a lotus Valentiina,
"First the first step begins from taking a photo for my dear wife, look here."
"Huh? Shoot... shoot me? Wait a minute, I haven't struck a pose yet..."
"Click!"
Following a photo sliding down from the Cardinal device, Fisher gently picked up the photo and examined it, finally pointing up his thumb, saying,
"An absolute beauty!"
"..."
Valentiina skeptically looked at the ceaselessly praising Fisher before her eyes, saying in her heart is it really this good-looking?
Thus gently flapping her wings flying to Fisher's side, looking toward the photo in his hands...
In his hands, a 'peerless photo of Valentiina' abruptly entered the sight: a strange angle, exposed to glaring light, abstract expression, and peculiar posture.
"..."
Valentiina expressionlessly turned her head looking toward the eagerly interested Fisher beside her, while he furthermore smiled slightly, claiming credit saying,
"How is it, very not..."
"Fisher!! Quickly tear that photo up!!"
As a result before finishing he was fiercely caught by a flustered and exasperated Valentiina, saying whatever she absolutely wouldn't let Fisher touch the camera anymore.
"Huh? Why?"
"I don't care I don't care I don't care I don't care!"
Fisher raised that photo standing up and ran, witnessing this Valentiina puffed up her cheeks lowering her head reaching out to mold a snowball smashing head-on onto his back,
"Watch this! Watch this!"
"No, don't you think it's very cute?"
"Where is it cute!? You... you quickly throw that strange thing away!"
Valentiina flushed completely red. The moment she thought of a ten-thousand-to-one chance this photo was placed in something like her parents' photo album to be appreciated by descendants, she felt she could merely smash her head to death immediately here.
If the Phoenix's abstract ugly photo was discovered...
Abominable is, Fisher actually even felt it was extremely cute?!
Fisher ran ahead simultaneously, Valentiina chasing all the way behind, countless snowballs crazily smashing forward exactly like bullets. Now having become exceptionally healthy Valentiina was far more active than in the dream.
Seeing she was unable to catch up to Fisher no matter what, the Valentiina behind pouted her lips. The wings behind slightly moved, along with a gleam of cold light flashing past, before Fisher a giant ice wall abruptly rose up.
The Fisher ahead raised his eyebrows, turning his head back proposing,
"You cheated!"
As a result just turning his head, a snowball smacked right on his face.
"Pfft!"
Subsequently, Valentiina's entire fragrant soft body lunged over, pressing him down solidly onto the snow ground all at once.
Valentiina dominantly sat bodily upon Fisher. Looking at the innocent yet abnormally handsome Fisher beneath her body, she abruptly felt shy, her gaze also dodging.
Who could blame her husband being surprisingly so damn sweet...
Valentiina pouted her lips, not opening her mouth, merely lowering her body to dominantly clasp his wrists and kiss his lips.
"..."
A moment later, after the lips parted, when the breath exactly like carrying specks of sweetness patted onto Fisher's cheeks anew, their pupils were close at hand, gazes gurgling.
However that ambiguous to the extreme atmosphere didn't last too long, because the next moment, Fisher sensed his hands loosen. Raising his head to look, Valentiina had already snatched that photo away grasping it in her hands.
Originally had already made a tearing action, but looking at the Fisher beneath her hesitated for a moment yet halted.
Finally, she just indignantly stuffed that photo into her own bosom, also snatching over the camera in Fisher's hands, proclaiming,
"This photo falls under my supervision, incidentally before Fisher learns to shoot photos touching the camera is forbidden!"
Being bullied by a dominant wife.
Fisher innocently thought so.
But after reading the judgment majestically exactly like a judge, Valentiina smilingly raised the camera pointing at Fisher anew, saying,
"So next up, let me take photos for you instead."
"..."
Not every night would the Northern Border's wind howl past crazily, for example tonight, the Northern Border was surprisingly quiet.
The vast night sky, bright moon and sparse stars.
The firelight rippled upon the boundless expanse of snow, long streaks of steam leaked from the cooking pot, revealing traces of humans.
Fisher and Valentiina weren't at the camp constructed earlier, because starting from noon they journeyed playing while taking photos, unknowingly walking extremely far away.
Originally planning to return to rest when night came, but tonight was exceptionally tranquil, thus also dispelled their intent of returning just like this, deciding to linger outside for an extended period.
Casually picking some things to boil and eat, also starting a fire to temporarily rest, Fisher looked with face full of helplessness toward the Valentiina eagerly interested in selecting photos across the fire pile.
Speaking of photos, girls ultimately would remain a bit more interested. But stating what should be said Valentiina's photography skill truly was a lot better than Fisher's.
At this moment before her lay quite a few photos, distinctly categorized: natural landscapes and small animals seen along the way, but mostly were still photos of her and Fisher.
Fisher draped in a greatcloak, half his upper body bare within, hugging a wild terrestrial seabird in his bosom...
Fisher bringing Valentiina into his embrace, Valentiina holding the camera high up, their infinitely close faces appearing so full of vitality, one look could tell it was a married couple currently on honeymoon.
"Not bad not bad... this one is also not bad..."
Fisher faintly smiled. Although unable to bear interrupting the wife's enthusiasm, but after all the food boiling in the pot had already reached the stage where it had to be enjoyed. Thus he had no choice but to open his mouth on behalf of the food not wanting to be wasting precious gifts,
"Time to eat."
"Coming!"
Valentiina put the photos away nicely, subsequently carrying a bowl coming to the side of the fire pile, letting Fisher scoop a bowl entirely full of thick soup for her.
While enjoying dinner, she somewhat emotionally looked at the surrounding scenery,
"Truly unexpected ah..."
"Unexpected what?"
"I merely lament, a journey Mom and Dad walked for an entire few weeks, we actually rushed to completion within a single day..."
"This is also something without alternative, after all our ranks are placed there. We aren't really afraid of the bitter cold and wind snow, also don't need extremely lengthy rest. Even if we unknowingly slowed our footsteps it couldn't further prolong this stretch of journey, otherwise I fear we'd be sitting here staring blankly before the sun set."
"Hehe, in that case I could have taken a bit more photos for you huh."
"Boring, you don't let me take any anyway."
"Who told you to shoot so ugly?! You take a look, is this photo still me?"
Valentiina saying and saying indignantly took out that ugly photo Fisher took during daytime from her bosom anew. While Fisher totally lacked the appearance of any repentance, he truly felt that photo was extremely good,
"I still think it's very cute ah..."
"...Spare me."
Fisher gave a faint smile, complying with Valentiina's wish. Merely in his peripheral vision, he abruptly looked toward the sky. There exactly within the originally profound darkness, at some unknown time lit up segment upon segment of continuous meandering green light exactly like silk ribbons.
He opened his mouth, hurriedly reminding,
"Look quickly, Valentiina."
"Ah, it's... it's the aurora ah..."
"Indeed, heard Tao Gong say it's a scene formed by the stars forged by Ouyun."
"Her huh, not romantic in the slightest. I can even imagine the tone she used to say these words must definitely be totally indifferent..."
"You are correct, moreover it definitely needs a 'trash fish' added onto it."
"Hahahaha..."
Valentiina laughingly took a sip of the hot soup from her bowl, wanting to borrow the bright aurora in the sky to see what the ocean which should be different should look like at this moment.
But what she first noticed wasn't the ocean, but a small piece of stone previously hiding amidst the darkness.
Half the body of that stone was buried in the snowfield. At first glance it was a piece of stone that couldn't be more ordinary. But due to the aurora, Valentiina abruptly discovered, that piece of stone seemingly had text written using some kind of magic material.
She was slightly stunned putting her body down, incidentally calling Fisher at the side,
"Fisher, over there... that piece of stone seemingly has some words written on it."
"Words?"
Hearing this Fisher also stood up his body, following Valentiina to walk over there.
Coming before that stone, Valentiina was just about to wipe the frost and snow covering that stone, when the Fisher behind reminded anew,
"That stone seemingly has something pressed beneath it."
"Eh?"
Valentiina's action slightly halted. Lowering her head, as expected seeing a small cloth parcel completely drenched reveal itself from beneath that stone.
She reached out to grab the edge of that cloth parcel pulling it out, then saw there were some already blurred and indiscernible Turan Family crests on that cloth parcel,
"Turan Family..."
The instant she saw that crest, Valentiina's inner heart seemed precisely touched. Yet it wasn't due to that family that chose to sacrifice her, but due to two blood relatives who once belonged to that family.
Her parents.
Her breathing quickened bit by bit. Hurriedly opening that incredibly shriveled small cloth parcel.
Yet saw within the space inside, quietly lay a crumpled, water-soaked photo.
Fisher crouched down, watching Valentiina carefully pull that photo out...
The scene enclosed within the photo was simple, inside the scene constructed by the three colors of black-white-gray, before a thoroughly snow-white wall, a young white-haired man bearing curse scars on his face stood smiling. He extended a hand to support an equally smiling woman sitting on a wooden chair beside him, her body somewhat emaciated due to curses.
Although that woman's figure was emaciated, yet a pair of eyes were bright and piercing, radiating the light of wisdom.
And within her embrace, a fragile infant in swaddling clothes was tightly closing its eyes, its mouth slightly open breathing. One could tell, that infant was equally suffering the severe torment of the bloodline curse.
And as a latecomer, Fisher clearly knew that curse made that infant unable to walk, unable to live past twenty years of age...
Valentiina looked at that photo, her breathing also increasingly rapid,
"It's Mom and Dad... The photo they left here, this is my Mom and Dad, them holding me..."
Her eyes brought mist. While trembling opening her mouth, she clasped that photo onto her bosom, hurriedly reaching out to sweep aside the accumulated snow covering that stone.
"Rustle rustle."
And following the accumulated snow on that stone being swept off bit by bit, the text originally left behind by Valentiina's parents above also clearly revealed itself.
Written upon it was,
"May our daughter one day resemble that massive whale, growing colorful wings capable of soaring freely."
The text carved on the piece of stone hadn't changed in the slightest, identical to the carved appearance when a pair of spouses arriving here from afar buried the photo many years ago.
Looking at the text upon that stone, the mist in Valentiina's eyes finally accumulated heavily, hard to return converging into streams, drop by drop, strand by strand sliding down from her pupils.
Fisher reached an arm pulling Valentiina over, pulling her into his embrace, letting her be able to rely on a husband's arm,
"Wuuuu... wuuu wuuu wuuu... Mom and Dad..."
Within Fisher's embrace, Valentiina finally couldn't hold on anymore weeping out. She tightly hugged the photo in her bosom, exactly as if embracing the parents who came here back then.
"It's fine it's fine, Valentiina..."
"Wuuuu wuuuu wuuuu..."
Fisher tightly hugged the Valentiina beside him, continuously providing her warmth.
The aurora in the sky was gentle, amidst a patch of dark snowfield, only the maiden's weeping was fragmented, scattering amidst the sea waves following the roaring ocean.
Who knows if it was moved by the maiden, those ocean waves seemingly came increasingly fierce.
"Splash!"
Hugging the trembling Valentiina, Fisher raised his eyes looking toward the ocean before his eyes, yet unexpectedly those sea waves slapped straight onto the shore, surprisingly splashing up a wall of water several meters high.
"Splash!"
What's going on?
Fisher was slightly stunned. Looking toward the direction of the ocean, his eyes still didn't perceive anything, yet his ear first transmitted a call exactly like the ancient.
"Wuuu!!!"
That was, a profound and distant whale call.
"Bang~"
Amidst the boundless sea, a water pillar erupted from beneath the sea surface.
Fisher widened his eyes. Patting Valentiina's shoulder, wanting to light the illumination magic constantly carried over his body to peek at the true face of the creature hidden in the sea.
But he absolutely didn't expect his action would actually be superfluous.
Because the next second, precisely the instant Valentiina unbelievably raised her eyes, from beneath that sea surface, a massive crystal-blue-colored outline surprisingly exactly like reveling raised its massive fish tail glittering with orange-red fluorescence.
That exposed-above-sea-surface whale tail about two people tall, seven-eight people wide indicated that massive whale was currently hanging upside down beneath the water. Subsequently, that whale tail also vanished above the water surface in one go...
Then...
"Rumble rumble rumble!!!"
Following a burst of deafening thunder, accompanied by the sky full of auroras, that massive crystal-blue whale ferociously leaped from the water bottom exactly like dancing, exactly like playing.
Above its body emitted a fluorescence that remained exceptionally eye-catching without needing illumination magic. On that originally incomparably robust body appeared quite a few more scars, both the traces left when it escaped from beneath the ice cap, and also the symbol of its exuberant life force.
Those scars didn't damage its majesty, weaken its aesthetic feeling in the slightest, conversely brought a sense of reality making people hold their breath and concentrate.
It told the existence witnessing it: It still exists, even if riddled with scars, yet it nonetheless escaped from a desperate situation!
In mid-air, it unscrupulously stretched those colorful, gorgeous, fin-like limbs.
Exactly like the gorgeous fireworks celebrating the new year at midnight, exactly like the rainbow bridge traversing dream and reality in the dead of the night...
What color was that exactly?
The ultimate colorfulness, seen from varying sides all distinct and different.
That wasn't merely the limb keeping this massive whale playfully swimming in the sea, more like the wings supporting its soaring!!
Is it flying?
"Wuuu!!!"
The whale call resounding through the heavens and earth stirred the aurora, curled up waves, occupying the entirety of Fisher's and Valentiina's gazes.
Valentiina covered her mouth, her eyes bursting with light. Joyfully surprised, she yelled toward Fisher,
"Fi fi fi fi Fisher!! It's the Colorful-Winged Whale, it... it survived!! It's still here! Did you see it! Heavens! It survived!!"
And Fisher was equally astonished, however after the brief shock, he also hooked up a smile anew, turning his head looking at the Valentiina beside him covering her mouth surprisingly joyfully looking at that Colorful-Winged Whale.
Full of profound meaning, he repeated,
"Yes, she survived..."
Gravity dragging the incomparably massive whale about to plunge into the sea anew, Valentiina hurriedly raised the Cardinal camera, taking a complete photo of it entirely.
"Click!"
This time, the photo was no longer black and white, nor merely a part of its body anymore.
Valentiina alongside Fisher together, completely took a photo of the Colorful-Winged Whale surviving a desperate situation.
"Wuuu!!!"
"Rumble rumble rumble!"
Accompanied by the massive whale call, amidst the sky-piercing white water pillar, its colorful-gorgeous fish fins were the epilogue of this peerless landscape.
Between the surging tides, this Colorful-Winged Whale had already completed the action of exchanging breath, thus continuing to deep dive into the sea, disappearing without a trace...
And Valentiina still maintained shock, looking at the gradually silencing sea surface.
"It left."
Fisher was unable to help laughing, reminding like so.
And Valentiina parted her mouth. Exactly exactly like not daring to believe everything she saw just now was real, she hurriedly lowered her head checking the photo flowing down from beneath the camera.
Only until seeing the posture of that whale with abundant colors and incomparably magnificent dancing beneath the aurora, did she finally ascertain everything happening just now was real.
Fisher leaned close. Looking at the whale on the photo, he said,
"Seemingly not quite resembling the appearance of the whale in the dream, moreover even totally and completely captured the scars on its body... However, the angle is very perfect, also very clear. Fine, I reluctantly concede your photo-taking is a tiny bit better-looking than mine."
Valentiina complainingly reached out a fist hammering Fisher's shoulder, yet she still remained unable to bear parting with the photo in her hands. She tightly clutched Fisher's hand, clutching the freshly baked photo of the Colorful-Winged Whale in her hand.
Beneath that photo there were still two other photos huh...
One was the ugly photo Fisher took for her this morning.
One was crumpled, the photo her parents left behind here.
The topmost, was exactly the photo of that Colorful-Winged Whale entirely distinct from the image in dreams.
Looking at the photo on her hand, Valentiina finally smiled, she smiled shedding tears.
She had no choice but to wipe away the tears...
However strangely, the more tears she wiped the more there were, the more tears she had the more radiant her smile became...
Just like this she simultaneously smiling shedding tears, carrying love looking at the Fisher before her eyes, her voice excited to trembling.
She said,
"Not quite resembling is precisely good, not quite resembling is precisely good..."
"Because here isn't a dream ah..."
"Here is not a dream ah."
