The Greatest Village Doctor In The World

Chapter 995: Portrait

Chapter 995: Portrait

Li Fei’er’s method was indeed quite peculiar, and Ling Feng naturally found it beyond words.

He couldn’t help but ask: "Why put it through all this hassle? Wouldn’t it be easier to just subdue the fellow? Such a massive body, brimming with strength, it’s already intimidating just standing there!"

"I certainly don’t want it, this creature is full of evil energy, not a trace of the spiritual energy you find in wild animals. It’s clearly nothing but a dead puppet!" Li Fei’er said, curling her lips.

Ling Feng was taken aback: "You’re saying this gorilla is dead?"

"Yes, the malevolent aura Ye Qian sister discovered is from this guy!" Li Fei’er explained.

As they spoke, the gorilla had already run out of strength, but its huge paws continued to slap itself, left and right, the movements extremely sluggish.

Seeing this, Ling Feng gave a wry smile: "Rather than watching it play slow-motion, I might as well send it on its way!"

With those words, he leaped into the air, and a flash of the blade later, the gorilla’s head was severed!

Then he returned to the three girls’ side, where Li Fei’er was already hugging Li Yun’er: "Sis, you scared me to death!"

"It’s alright now, don’t be scared!"

Li Yun’er’s face was pale as snow, clearly frightened, but as the older sister, she still tenderly hugged her younger sister to console her.

Ling Feng came up and asked: "What happened before?"

"On my way back, that big brute appeared out of nowhere, I got so scared I immediately stopped the car, nearly crashing into its leg!"

Li Yun’er was obviously still shaken, shivering with the recollection.

She continued: "Then it grabbed me. I was so terrified I fainted, and when I woke up, I found myself in this mountain. Where is this place?"

"It’s in the mountains southeast of the county town, not far from home."

Ling Feng said this and then asked: "Did you only see that gorilla, did you not see anyone else?"

"No," Li Yun’er shook her head.

Ling Feng uttered a sound of realization and then showed a contemplative look, murmuring to himself: "This isn’t good, we can’t find the real culprit."

"It’s alright, I already know where the real culprit is!" Li Fei’er declared.

As soon as she said this, all three pairs of eyes turned her way, almost in unison asking: "How do you know?"

"While I was subduing that monster, I collected some fragments from its brain, I saw a guy with a goatee and triangular eyes!" Li Fei’er stated.

Hearing this, Ling Feng was overjoyed and quickly asked: "Where is he? Do you remember?"

"I saw three big willow trees, quite tall and robust, and then there was a long stone path leading to a place that looked like a temple." Li Fei’er said.

"With this information, we’re close enough. Let’s go home first, and then we can figure out exactly where this is!"

Ling Feng said this and then looked at the sisters: "I’ll carry one of you on each side, that’ll be faster!"

"No need, I have a way!"

Li Fei’er chuckled, summoning Wang Cai.

The creature was still tall and strapping, requiring them to look up just to see it.

Approaching them, Li Fei’er took Li Yun’er’s hand, and turned to Lin Xue: "Xue sister, come on up too. We’ll ride Wang Cai back home!"

"Sure, I remember being naughty as a kid, riding our family’s big Yellow dog, never thought I’d get the chance to experience that again!" Lin Xue laughed.

Ling Feng gave a roll of his eyes, "Wang Cai is a wolf, not a dog!"

"Right, right, right, sorry about that, Wang Cai!" Lin Xue stuck out her tongue.

Wang Cai didn’t seem to have heard, or if he did, he didn’t show it, tilting his massive head slightly and glancing down at the ground.

The three ladies hopped onto its back, and then Li Fei’er spoke up, "Uncle, we’re leaving you to hike out on your own, we’re heading off!"

No sooner had she finished speaking than Wang Cai transformed into a streak of lightning, whooshing away in a flash!

Upon seeing this, Ling Feng immediately followed suit, somewhat competitiveness showing, afraid that he would be left behind by Wang Cai.

Ten minutes later, when they returned to their parked car, Li Fei’er called back Wang Cai and Yellow, then the four of them got into the vehicle and drove back to the county town.

On the way back, Ling Feng thought about the shoes and socks, and turned to ask, "Yun’er, did you deliberately leave those shoes and socks behind?"

"Yeah, that creature had captured me and I had no idea where it was taking me. I figured in case someone came looking, they’d know which direction I went if they saw them!" Li Yun’er explained.

Ling Feng couldn’t help but give a wry smile, "Your method is certainly unique!"

"Unique? I picked it up from fairy tales when I was little!" Li Yun’er said.

"..."

Ling Feng was resigned, thinking to himself that she certainly had some wild ideas, to be able to apply things from fairy tales to real life – that’s putting knowledge into practice!

Lin Xue had already phoned the people aware of the situation, and knowing that Li Yun’er was safe, everyone felt relieved.

Afterwards, the car returned to Longyuan, and Ling Feng and the others began their work to locate that place.

Although Li Fei’er had described it in great detail, the area around the county town was vast, with several well-known temples to compare with, but none matched the place she had seen.

Eventually, the group scoured all sorts of documents and scoured the internet for photographs, yet still found nothing.

They carried on like this for quite a while, until the sun began to set, before they finally stopped for a break.

"It’s really too troublesome to look this way, how about you just drive around randomly, uncle? With your Divine Sense open, perhaps you’ll be able to find it!" Li Fei’er suggested.

Ling Feng looked at her, "You really know how to throw me into the mix, don’t you? That’s like a headless fly crashing about."

Li Fei’er giggled, then suddenly had another idea, "Didn’t you transfer a whole bunch of people from Guo City over here? What if I describe that person’s appearance to them, maybe they can track him down?"

"That’s an idea!"

Ling Feng nodded, and immediately called Wang Laogen, describing the person’s appearance.

Five minutes later, a well-drawn sketch was sent to Ling Feng’s phone, with a few words below: "Is this what he looks like?"

Li Fei’er took one look and exclaimed in awe, "My gosh, it’s exactly the same as what I saw! Who drew this? That’s incredible!"

"Of course, it’s my people, impressive, huh?"

Ling Feng smiled proudly and immediately replied to Wang Laogen, "That’s the one, go find him based on his appearance, even if it means digging three feet into the ground, you have to find him by tomorrow noon!"

No sooner had the message been sent than Wang Laogen called back, "No need to wait until tomorrow noon, we’ve already pinned down that person’s whereabouts!"

"Uh, that fast?" Ling Feng said, astonished.

"Big data, you wouldn’t understand!"

Wang Laogen chuckled, then continued, "That person is not in our county, but he has been here twice before, so he left traces. The last place he went to was Furong Town!"
