Chapter 974: Desert

Pete gave a wry smile upon hearing Ling Feng’s words and said, "Boss, I advise you not to come over!"

Ling Feng was startled: "Why?"

"You don’t know the influence of The Holy See. Here, every single person in the city is their loyal follower. As soon as you appear, word will immediately get back to them, and then the entire Holy See won’t let you off!" Pete said.

Ling Feng sneered: "What? They all recognize me?"

"Pretty much. Anyway, I’ve seen your picture already. The Holy See has listed you as the most unwelcome person. If they spot you, they will definitely report it!" Pete said.

"Damn, on what grounds?"

Ling Feng thought it was ridiculous. Did these guys really hate him that much?

Then Pete said, "It’s all because of that small organization that was eradicated."

"Oh, that’s the reason!"

Ling Feng came to a realization and after thinking for a while said, "But I’m not afraid of them, and I also have a way to go without them noticing. Just tell me the address where Kong Sheng is being detained!"

It was already broad daylight. After getting up and stretching, Ling Feng casually walked out and headed to the village committee office.

Ling Feng smiled: "Just came to check in. How’s the greenhouse project going?"

Li Yumei: "At least eighty!"

Li Yumei was moved and said with a smile.

Seeing her smile, Ling Feng smiled too: "As long as you’re happy, that’s all that matters. I didn’t think too much about the rest!"

Li Yumei’s face turned red, and she quickly lowered her head.

As the two of them were talking, Yu Linglong suddenly walked out from the woods.

Seeing her, Ling Feng was taken aback and then asked, "Did the sun rise from the west today? Why did you leave the stone house?"

"I was actually looking for you, but I didn’t expect to find you here, so that works out perfectly!" Yu Linglong said.

"What do you need me for?" Ling Feng asked.

"Have you forgotten? There are still two maps we haven’t explored yet!" Yu Linglong said.

Ling Feng smiled, "Of course, I haven’t forgotten. It so happens I’m free today, so let’s go check them out."

"Are we still bringing Fei’er and the others?" Yu Linglong asked.

"No need for now, there isn’t much danger anyway."

Ling Feng didn’t want to make a big fuss this time. Last trip they went to two places, ending up with a fruitless endeavor as most of the time was spent traveling with the girls.

So he felt it unnecessary; going there would just be a waste of time.

Yu Linglong nodded, "You decide. When do we go?"

"Let’s go now."

After saying that, Ling Feng took out the disc.

He said goodbye to Li Shiyun, then left with Yu Linglong, teleporting to the fourth map.

Unexpectedly, upon arrival, Ling Feng found himself in the midst of a desert, surrounded by endless yellow sand!

He turned to look at Yu Linglong, who didn’t say anything, just curiously surveyed the desert, then pointed ahead, "Let’s go that way, there seems to be something over there!"

"Could it be a pyramid?" Ling Feng asked.

"No, I’m not sure what it is."

Yu Linglong shook her head and continued walking forward on her own.

Footprints were left in the yellow sand, stretching out bit by bit.

After some time, the two reached the top of a sand dune and noticed a small oasis not far in front of them.

It was a patch of greenery in the midst of the desert; they could see water shimmering from a distance, a pale blue color flickering in and out of sight amongst the trees.

Ling Feng knew immediately that was their destination, so he looked at Yu Linglong, "Let’s go. This place looks straightforward, we should be able to complete our task soon!"

"Don’t think things are so simple, I think I smell a hint of danger!" Yu Linglong said in a grave voice.

"Really? I don’t feel it."

Ling Feng was puzzled, feeling a bit strange.

Yu Linglong then looked at him, "Maybe you’re just too slow to notice?"

After saying that, she leaped down from the dune, heading straight for the oasis.

Ling Feng rolled his eyes speechlessly, then quickly followed her!

They sped up and reached the vicinity of the oasis within two minutes, only to discover simultaneously that there were quite a few animals inside the grove!

Ling Feng’s eyes widened as he looked at the emaciated quadrupedal beasts, "What are these? Wolves?"

"They don’t look like it, maybe some kind of jackal? I don’t really know much about it!" Yu Linglong said.

"So it seems these animals are guarding something here? They’re still not leaving to find food even when they’re so starved?"

Ling Feng drew the God Slayer Saber, turned to Yu Linglong and said, "You wait here, I’ll take them down first, then you can come over!"

"No need, I’m not afraid of these creatures!"

Yu Linglong drew her longsword, even quicker than Ling Feng, and directly charged towards the oasis!

Seeing this, Ling Feng shook his head and promptly followed, saber in hand!
