Wang Laogen was choked up, somewhat furious as he stood up: "You little brat, say that again?"

"Alright, alright, I’m just joking with you. I know you’re upset!"

Ling Feng grinned, sat down, and said, "Zhou Yi reminded me, my targets should be those from the Holy Light Society and Shadow Group. Kong Sheng, that kid, is at most a fly, not worth mentioning at all!"

"Kong Sheng’s father and brother are in the country!"

Ling Feng uttered one word, then added, "Better eat it now while it’s hot; it won’t taste as good once it’s cool!"

Wang Laogen was startled, "What? Aren’t you interested in the specifics?"

"Not interested. They’re just his family, not the man himself. Besides, didn’t I just say that Kong Sheng is not even worthy of being my enemy? Why would I care about this?" Ling Feng laughed.

Wang Laogen’s plan fell through, and he shook his head: "Alright then, seems like you’ve really come to a realization. I was thinking of having you check out whether they’re colluding with Kong Sheng."

"For that, you could go to the Security Bureau, why send me?" Ling Feng asked.

Wang Laogen replied, "You seem pretty idle."

He glanced at the caller ID, didn’t answer immediately, but flashed the phone at Wang Laogen, "Who said I’m idle? I’m clearly busy; see, there’s stuff coming up!"

Only after saying this did he answer, "What’s up?"

"Come to Longyuan, I’ll wait for you at home," Lin Xue said.

Chen Ping nodded and headed downstairs.
