Chapter 879 Flight Mode

Chapter 879 Flight Mode

The scene was quiet.

Ling Feng glanced at the astonished Ukrainian soldiers and said to Kong Fanlin, "Tell them, if they want to stop me, they’ll end up like that guy!"

"Okay..."

Kong Fanlin was a bit scared as well and had only now understood why Ling Feng dared to come buy the warship by himself—this man had the confidence!

Facing the provocation of armed soldiers and American officers, he could deal with it all on his own. Impressive!

Ling Feng turned and got into the car, both Du Hao and Li Fei’er also returned to the vehicle, and after Kong Fanlin exchanged a few words with the Ukrainian Minister of Defense, he quickly got into the car too.

"What did that guy say?" Ling Feng asked.

"He didn’t speak, but this matter is definitely not over, Mr. Ling. You killed an American officer, it’s best for you to leave Ukraine immediately!" Kong Fanlin said.

Ling Feng nodded, then turned to Du Hao, "Uncle, you’ve spent money, there’s no need for you to stay now. Let Mr. Kong arrange your departure later?"

"What about you?" Du Hao asked.

Ling Feng’s lips curved into a smile, "Of course I can’t leave, this matter isn’t settled yet!"

Seeing his smile, Du Hao knew the young man already had a plan and nodded, "I trust you’re not reckless and will handle this properly!"

Ling Feng smiled, "Don’t worry, uncle, just wait for my good news back home!"

"Okay!"

With a smile, Du Hao turned to Kong Fanlin, "With things having come to this, Mr. Kong must have a lot to take care of. I won’t trouble you for help, I can find my own way back!"

"Do you have arrangements, Mr. Du?" Kong Fanlin asked.

"Don’t worry, I have my plans!"

Du Hao nodded, took out his phone, and dialed a number, speaking a few words in a language that others couldn’t understand.

By the time they got back to the hotel, an extended limousine was already waiting there.

Then Du Hao got out of the car and shook hands with a tall Russian man in his sixties, with a head full of white hair.

Watching the scene from the car, Kong Fanlin widened his eyes in astonishment, "Isn’t that the president of Sharon Group?"

"Oh? What does he do?" Ling Feng asked.

"He’s a tycoon, he controlled the state’s energy and minerals during the Russian Federation era, and now he has expanded his business globally. I can’t believe Mr. Du actually knows him!" Kong Fanlin said.

Ling Feng smiled, "Mr. Du is also a tycoon, so it’s not surprising he knows him. This makes me even more reassured!"

Outside the car, Du Hao waved his hand, then followed the white-haired man into the limousine.

After he left, Ling Feng, Li Fei’er, and Kong Fanlin went upstairs and returned to their hotel room.

Once seated, Kong Fanlin asked with some concern, "Mr. Ling, what do you plan to do now?"

"Based on your prediction, how will Ukraine treat me?" Ling Feng asked.

"Well, my guess is that they didn’t dare to touch you just now, but whether it’s for the sake of their national pride or the fact that an American officer was killed, they can’t let it go uninvestigated. So they’ll probably send people to surround this place soon!" Kong Fanlin said.

Ling Feng nodded, "Will your safety be affected?"

"No, I’m a diplomat and have diplomatic immunity. And I’m just a guide and translator, after all!" Kong Fanlin said.

"Then I’m relieved."

Ling Feng nodded again and continued, "We still have time, get me a satellite phone. We can stay in touch over the phone if anything happens!"

Kong Fanlin tentatively asked, "Mr. Ling, what do you plan to do next...?"

"I’m not going to confront them head-on; we’ll talk after dark," Ling Feng said with a smile.

"All right."

Having heard this, Kong Fanlin didn’t press any further and turned to prepare communication tools in the next room.

At this moment, Li Fei’er asked, "Uncle, what exactly do you intend to do?"

"Wait until tonight, and I’ll tell you. They think they’re overbearing? I’ll show them what true dominance is," Ling Feng said with a cold laugh.

A few minutes later, Kong Fanlin brought over a palm-sized black phone, "Mr. Ling, this is an encrypted channel mobile phone, with a standby time of up to a month and talk time that can exceed twenty-four hours. You can make calls from mountains or deserts!"

Ling Feng laughed and took the phone, "How did you know I was going to the outskirts?"

"Uh, I guessed. Since Mr. Ling doesn’t want to confront the Ukrainian government, the best way is to find a place to temporarily avoid the limelight," Kong Fanlin said with a smile.

"Exactly, we’ll wait for darkness," Ling Feng agreed and put away the phone. There wasn’t much else to take, so he took Li Fei’er by the hand and said to Kong Fanlin, "Alright, we won’t impose any longer. Please investigate the Ukrainian and Belarusian government situation for me; we’ll keep in touch by phone!"

Kong Fanlin asked, "Do you need me to escort you out of the city?"

"No need, I can manage on my own!"

Ling Feng laughed and left with Li Fei’er.

Once they were downstairs, just as they stepped out of the hotel, a group of about thirty or forty people suddenly charged from the surrounding areas!

All of these people were armed with submachine guns aimed at Ling Feng.

Seeing this, Ling Feng chuckled, turned his head to Li Fei’er, and said, "Hold on tight, we’re about to activate ’flight mode’!"

"Okay!"

Li Fei’er wasn’t nervous and smiled sweetly, wrapping her little hands around his waist.

As soon as Mind Soul Art was activated, the gun-toting soldiers instantly felt a wave of headaches!

In their moment of distraction, Ling Feng, with his arm around Li Fei’er’s waist, transformed into a breeze and disappeared from the doorstep in an instant.

Only after Ling Feng had moved away and the effects of Mind Soul Art wore off did the soldiers snap out of it, leading to utter chaos.

Standing by the upstairs window, Kong Fanlin watched the scene with a wry smile and shook his head. He then picked up a satellite phone and dialed a number.

"Ling Feng has left the city. He didn’t specify what he’s going to do, just said to wait for darkness."

Zhang He’s voice on the other end came through groggy, obviously he had been sound asleep. After listening to Kong Fanlin, he indifferently replied, "Got it, that kid is definitely up to some mischief. You don’t need to meddle, just stay on the line for news."

"But his identity is a member of the Security Bureau; doing this, aren’t you worried about causing an international incident?" Kong Fanlin asked.

"They need evidence for that, relax. Ling Feng isn’t a fool; he definitely won’t clash with them head-on," Zhang He asserted.

Kong Fanlin gave a bitter smile, "There has already been a clash. Earlier at the docks, he attacked an American officer who got involved. I’ve asked around, and luckily the man didn’t die, but he’s suffered fractures all over and will probably be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life."

"The Americans showed up?"

Zhang He’s voice was a bit surprised before he scoffed, "If he got beaten, he asked for it. What business does he have at a Ukrainian naval port? Do they dare publicize this matter internationally?"

"Indeed, he was just trying to scare Ling Feng using his status, but it was to no avail," Kong Fanlin chuckled.

"Alright, let me know if there is any new information. I’m going back to sleep!"

With that, Zhang He hung up the phone.
