A few minutes later, An Bo walked out from the room inside.

"Mr. Ling, I have a rather presumptuous request."

Approaching Ling Feng, An Bo said with an apologetic smile.

"You’re too polite, An Bo. Just tell me what it is!" Ling Feng nodded.

"This Yuan Force Gemstone, could you please keep it safe for me until you claim your first place reward at the Bet Stone Contest, then take it out at the Royal Palace?" An Bo asked.

Ling Feng was startled and thought to himself that he hadn’t planned on going in the first place. Now it seemed he had no choice but to go.

Seeing the earnest look in An Bo’s eyes, Ling Feng could only nod: "Well, considering that someone might still be after it, I’ll keep it safe for the time being!"

After saying that, he stretched out his hand and tucked the gemstone back into his bracelet.

"When can we go to the Imperial Palace?"

"I’ll be heading back, too. Let’s catch up another time!" Du Hao said to Song Tuo.

The group left and headed straight for the parking lot.

Afterward, they drove back to the hotel. Du Hao took Ling Feng directly to his room.

Ling Feng looked back at Du Jiali: "It’s getting late; let’s hurry."

Before returning, Ling Feng made a call to Zhang He to ask if he wanted to come along.

Zhang He answered breathlessly, "You go ahead, I’m tied up with something here!"

Ling Feng was taken aback: "What are you doing? You better not be up to no good. Be careful, or I’ll tell your wife!"

Zhang He said this and then immediately hung up the phone.

Upon hearing this, Ling Feng stopped worrying, and hence he left Feng Ling in charge and took Du Jiali and Li Fei’er with him as they left.

After returning to the Nine Heavens, he didn’t stop for a moment and headed straight home.

Once outside, he saw that the construction of Shiliu Village was progressing rapidly, the apartment buildings had been built, and now they were working on the external decorations.

An hour later, a report was out, detailing the composition of the stone, the characteristics of the energy contained within, and other parameters.

Looking at the data, Ling Feng clicked his tongue, "This really is a treasure; it’s a pity to merely use it as a plaything for the princess!"

The Yuan gemstone contained Spiritual Energy, and its density was potent enough to rival a thousand times that of the highest quality Spirit Stone of the largest size he had.

Absorbing it all could potentially allow one to ascend to heaven on earth!

Yet for Ling Feng, it might only help increase his strength by a few percentage points.

Even so, Ling Feng still felt that it was a treasure and was somewhat reluctant to return it to the Princess of Mianluo Country.

After reading the report, he looked up at Chen Ping, "Boss, can we think of a way to get this thing?"

"Then there’s nothing we can do. We, the security bureau, can’t interfere with diplomatic affairs; I’m really powerless here," said Chen Ping, patting his shoulder with a smile.

"Alright, then I’m off!"

Ling Feng shook his head helplessly and was ready to leave.

But Chen Ping called out to him, "I heard that the ones who attacked you last time have been eliminated?"

"Yes, it was the people from the Holy Light Society, but they were hired by someone!" Ling Feng nodded.

"And then? You’re just going to let it go?" Chen Ping asked.
