Ling Feng was taken aback, "No way, am I really that famous now?"

"The few things you did before are now topics everyone enjoys talking about!"

After laughing, the traffic police suddenly seemed to remember something, hurriedly took out a notebook from his pocket, "It’s rare to meet the real person, Mr. Ling, could you give me an autograph?"

"Yes, if you want information on the owner of that pickup truck, I can help you look it up!" the traffic police said.

Having said that, he turned and got back into his car, glanced at Wang Wan’er, "Let’s go, home!"

Ling Feng nodded, then turned the car around, driving back towards the county town.

After returning to the Ling Family Mansion, neither of them spoke of the incident on the road, to avoid worrying Mo Jiaolan and the others.

Watching her disappear, Ling Feng helplessly shook his head.

The two old men seemed to be enjoying a rather comfortable time lately; although their electricity was cut off under the pretext of line maintenance by He Jiuguang, the villa had its own generator and wasn’t worried in the least.

At that moment, the two elders were drinking tea and playing chess, both with rosy cheeks and lively spirits, and even the wrinkles on Wang Laogen’s face seemed to have smoothed out.

Seeing Ling Feng arrived, they put down their chess pieces, and Wang Laogen even asked, "What brings you here, lad?"

"Just passing by, thought I’d check in on you, how have you been these past few days?" Ling Feng asked.

Wang Laogen smiled, "Can’t you tell by looking at us?"

Ling Feng nodded, "I can tell, with this rate of progress, living to one hundred and fifty years old shouldn’t be a problem for you two!"

Wang Laogen and Chu Nan both smiled, satisfied with a nod.

Immediately after that, Wang Laogen asked, "How long are you going to deal with the He Family? Can’t you just resolve it all at once?"

"What’s the rush? They play dirty with me, I play dirty with them. Let’s see who can’t take it in the end!" Ling Feng said with a mischievous smile.

"Well, no need to think about it, they definitely can’t out-scheme you!" Wang Laogen said with a laugh.

Ling Feng was taken aback, then followed with a bitter smile, "Why do I feel like that’s not a compliment?"

"Compliment, of course, it’s a compliment!"

Wang Laogen chuckled, "That rain-making trick you played on them was simply brilliant!"

After a pause, he quickly added, "But I have to remind you, the temperature has been quite warm these past few days, the construction site has mostly dried up, and I heard that the sand trucks and heavy machinery have started to return to the site!"

"Really? That’s perfect, I’ll just give them another downpour!"

Ling Feng chuckled, stood up, and said, "I won’t disturb you two any longer. Enjoy your blissful old age. This young man has some serious business to take care of!"

After he left, Chu Nan looked up at Wang Laogen, "We’re both planning to come out of retirement. Why didn’t you tell him?"

"You didn’t say anything either, right? Seems like we both had the same idea," Wang Laogen replied.

Chu Nan chuckled and nodded, "Looks like it. No hurry, we’ll just give him a surprise when the time comes!"

"I agree!" Wang Laogen nodded in response.

Ling Feng left the manor and quickly returned to his house.

Standing there looking into the village, he could see several excavators with their arms extended, obviously ready to start work!

Some workers were moving equipment under the direction of one man, who was none other than He Jiuguang!

Seeing this, it looked like that kid was preparing to dive into another big project!

Ling Feng snickered, thinking to himself that they should get ready for another letdown!

With that in mind, he didn’t enter his home but turned and made his way to North Mountain.

After arriving at the Array Eye, he saw the hustle and bustle below, with one excavator clearing mud and building debris, and the other two beginning to dig foundation pits—they were about to start work immediately!

"Quite in a hurry, huh?"

Seeing this, Ling Feng immediately activated the Array Eye, and the Spiritual Energy in the Spirit Stone was instantly drawn out!

He Jiuguang, wearing a safety helmet, was loudly directing the workers, his voice almost hoarse!

Just then, a rumble of thunder suddenly echoed in the sky!

He Jiuguang instantly turned to stone, looking up in disbelief.

What he saw next was the dark clouds that had already arrived overhead, and his heart instantly plummeted!
