The Greatest Village Doctor In The World

Chapter 776 Seed

Chapter 776 Seed

Ling Feng laughed, "Boss, don’t be so greedy. After eating this, you won’t be hungry for two days. Why would I need to deliver it every day?"

"Really? That impressive?"

Chen Ping was taken aback and then his thoughts raced, "Then you’d better ensure the supply. If it works out, this could replace individual rations altogether in the future!"

"Um..."

Upon hearing this, Ling Feng was stunned. If that were the case, he’d fear that killing more than a dozen White Jiaos a day wouldn’t be enough!

So he quickly waved his hands, "Boss, let’s not rush things. We should proceed gradually. If the source runs out one day, then I’d really be in trouble!"

"That’s your problem. Find a solution yourself!"

Chen Ping glared at him and walked out, carrying the thermal bucket.

The time was almost up; the people from headquarters should be arriving soon.

Indeed, by the time everyone reached the manor, three large helicopters were roaring overhead, flying in.

They landed in turn, and more than a dozen people disembarked from the aircraft, along with a pile of various colored metal boxes.

All these were detection equipment and power generation devices, which showed the level of importance headquarters placed on this incident.

With this in mind, Ling Feng felt increasingly uncertain, thinking to himself that he should quickly check what was in that box. If it’s of no great use to him, he might as well turn it in, given such high interest from above.

Then the group made their grand entrance into the mountains. Some personnel were in charge of installing equipment while a few older experts all gathered at the edge of the big pit.

Several hours had passed since the flames went out, but the residual heat persisted. If one stood at the edge of the pit for too long, they would feel parched and uncomfortably baked.

However, those experts were extremely dedicated. They didn’t retreat from the edge at all; they even wanted to go down!

If it weren’t for others holding them back, some old fellows would have braved the high temperatures to investigate the bottom of the pit.

As time passed, the temperature in the meteorite crater decreased. As soon as it reached a bearable level, the old experts, along with their equipment, descended into the pit.

They were measuring the area, checking radiation levels—in short, they used all available measuring methods.

Ling Feng didn’t understand these things, so he didn’t approach, thinking that all he needed to do was wait for the final conclusions.

But the wait turned out to be all night long. Only when the dawn sky turned red did the experts conclude their night’s work.

Chen Ping, along with Du Song and their team, was busy providing logistical support, while Ling Feng glanced at Sun Hao.

The other party immediately caught on and left the crowd.

They went one after the other and soon reached a forest in the distance.

Sun Hao arrived beside a huge rock, crouched down, and used all his strength to move the rock away.

Then Ling Feng saw the box lying quietly in the pit.

"You’re really something. That rock weighs seven or eight hundred pounds, right? Weren’t you afraid of crushing it?"

Ling Feng glared at Sun Hao and hurriedly crouched down to take out the box.

"Heh heh, it fell from the sky and was fine. How could it be afraid of this little pressure?" Sun Hao chuckled and crouched down alongside him.

Ling Feng held the box in his hands, feeling its warmth, which obviously hadn’t completely dissipated from the earlier scorching heat.

But now that it was no longer hot to the touch, he examined it for a while, and his eyebrows knitted together.

This was clearly a wooden box. How could it withstand such intense high temperatures?

You’d think after the intense combustion, the rocks and sand at the bottom of the pit were melted. That temperature must be at least a thousand degrees, right?

"Boss, aren’t you going to see what’s inside?"

Sun Hao swallowed and asked in a low voice.

Ling Feng, having no particular caution around him, nodded his head and gently lifted the lid.

Inside the box was a nine-grid layout, each compartment containing a small handful of items, varying in size and color.

Afterward, Ling Feng and Sun Hao were both stunned!

"Is, is this a seed?"

Sun Hao’s eyes bulged, his face full of astonishment.

Ling Feng was also utterly baffled. He had mentally prepared himself for many possibilities, but he had never expected to unveil this kind of object when lifting the lid!

The largest of them was almost the size of a broad bean and was covered in patterns, looking very delicate, almost like a piece of craftsmanship.

But when he held it in his hand, he received no hints in his mind, so Ling Feng had no clue what kind of beans these were.

However, they did seem to be seeds, just as Sun Hao had said!

Ling Feng was somewhat speechless, looked up at the sky, and muttered to himself, "Are you kidding me, seeds falling from the sky?"

"Uh..."

Sun Hao was equally dumbfounded, looking at Ling Feng, "Boss, could this be someone playing a trick on us?"

"That seems unlikely. This box withstands high temperatures to such a degree that it surely doesn’t exist on Earth, right?" Ling Feng was just as puzzled, questioning.

"That’s true. Seeds may not be valuable, but this wooden box is quite something!" Sun Hao nodded.

But Ling Feng didn’t see it that way; if such a fine box was used, the seeds inside must be something special too!

So he closed the lid, casually placed the box into his ring, and stood up to say, "Either way, let’s take it back first and talk later!"

Sun Hao had no objections. The box was the boss’s property now; it was up to him to deal with it.

The two men returned to their group, where Lin Xue glanced at him but said nothing.

After thinking it over, Ling Feng stepped forward and said to her, "Cover for me here, I’m off to the Nine Heavens."

"Okay."

Lin Xue nodded, aware that he had obtained something and was intending to give it a thorough examination.

Ling Feng left the crowd and walked to a spot out of sight; with a thought, he teleported to the Nine Heavens.

Then, he went straight to the Second Layer to find Yu Linglong.

Upon reaching the entrance, Ling Feng called out, "I’m here to disturb you again."

"What is it?"

The tone of Yu Linglong’s voice held a hint of helplessness, as if she was still reluctant to see him but had no choice.

"I brought a few seeds and want you to help me see if you recognize what they are!" Ling Feng said loudly.

The door opened, and Yu Linglong walked out, slightly frowning, her expression rather displeased.

Ling Feng chuckled and produced the box from his ring.

Yu Linglong glanced at it, her expression unchanging. When Ling Feng opened the lid, she looked inside and then shook her head, "I don’t recognize them!"

"Are you sure?" Ling Feng’s eyes widened.

"Of course, I’m sure. I’ve never seen these seeds before; they’re not from our land!" Yu Linglong declared.

Ling Feng was confounded, a look of disbelief spreading across his face.

Seeing his reaction, Yu Linglong finally paused, "What’s the matter?"

"No, nothing!"

Ling Feng, taken aback, quickly closed the lid and walked away!

Watching him leave without a word, Yu Linglong’s brows furrowed, a trace of irritation flickering in her eyes, "This guy!"

Ling Feng left the grove and went to the area where the medicinal herbs were planted, not seeing Wang Wan’er. He called out a couple of times.

Still getting no response, he had no choice but to leave the Second Layer and went to the First Layer of Heaven.
