Chapter 638 This is My New Classmate

Chapter 638 This is My New Classmate

After arriving at the parking lot, Ling Feng and Zhou Yi got out of the car.

The appearance of a handsome man and a beautiful woman instantly attracted even more attention, with many students guessing their identities, unsure of what they were there for.

Facing all sorts of curious or envious gazes, Ling Feng naturally felt great. If he hadn’t seen Zhou Yi’s tense little face, he would have even liked to put an arm around his shoulder and declare his sovereignty!

Since Zhou Yi had been there a few times, he knew where to find Huaihua, so the two of them walked through the campus’s shaded boulevard and quickly arrived at the base of a six-story building.

"She should be getting out of class around this time, we can just wait for a bit!" Zhou Yi said.

Ling Feng nodded, feeling a little excited in his heart all of a sudden.

Ever since that girl had started school, she hadn’t gone back, and because she was busy with her studies, she barely visited Nine Heavens either.

Having not seen her for more than two months, Ling Feng realized that he actually missed Huaihua quite a bit.

A few minutes later, students began to come out from the building, one by one, full of vitality and laughing as they left.

Ling Feng’s gaze searched the crowd, and he quickly spotted Huaihua’s figure.

But just as he was about to step forward, he noticed she was accompanied by a young man, who looked to be around twenty, fairly pale, and was chatting with Huaihua as they walked.

Noticing the faint smile on Huaihua’s face, Ling Feng suddenly stopped in his tracks!

Zhou Yi looked at him, "What’s up?"

"Nothing, I just feel that suddenly coming here without notifying her might be a bit presumptuous," Ling Feng said with a wry smile.

"Really?"

Zhou Yi glanced over at Huaihua and instantly understood what was going on, laughing, "What? You don’t think she’s fallen for someone else, do you?"

"No, how could I doubt Huaihua? It just feels a bit odd, that’s all!" Ling Feng said with a laugh.

"Then why not go ask and find out what’s going on?"

Zhou Yi made the suggestion and, taking Ling Feng by the arm, quickly approached Huaihua and the young man!

Catching sight of them all of a sudden, Huaihua was initially startled, then her eyes shone with surprise as she exclaimed, "Brother Ling Feng!"

"Hehe, surprised?" Ling Feng said with a smile.

"When did you get here, and you didn’t even let me know, such a surprise!" Huaihua hurried forward and hugged his arm, her eyes only having room for Ling Feng, not even giving Zhou Yi a glance.

"This damn girl, such a disappointment!" Zhou Yi muttered under his breath, looking at the smiling young man standing behind Huaihua, and coughed before saying, "Aren’t you going to introduce us?"

"Oh, right, this is the new transfer student in our class, his name is Lu Changsheng!"

Huaihua snapped back to reality, sticking out her tongue sheepishly at Zhou Yi before making the introduction.

"Lu Changsheng, are you related to the Lu Family?"

Ling Feng asked curiously.

Caught off guard by the question, Lu Changsheng hesitated, "What Lu Family?"

"Nothing, it’s just a mistake on my part. Are you new to this school, brother?" Ling Feng asked with a smile.

"Yes, I just arrived today to register. Thankfully, student Xiao Yunyun helped me out; otherwise, I would’ve had trouble finding some places!" Lu Changsheng said with a smile.

Hearing this, Ling Feng felt an inexplicable sense of relief and then nodded, "So, that’s what happened!"

Zhou Yi rolled his eyes secretly, thinking to himself that he was accused of being jealous, but it seemed like Ling Feng was the biggest jar of vinegar. Just a few casual words with a guy, and you’re all tense, unbelievable!

At this moment, Lu Changsheng said, "Since you both are friends of student Xiao, I’m planning to treat her to a meal as a way to express my gratitude. Why don’t you join us?"

It’s eleven o’clock, and the students have dispersed to the cafeteria for lunch after class.

Ling Feng, of course, didn’t accompany Lu Changsheng, and Huaihua felt the same, saying to him at that time, "Lu, go ahead and eat on your own, my brother is here, I’ll spend the afternoon with him!"

"All right then, see you in class this afternoon."

Lu Changsheng smiled politely, nodded at Ling Feng and Zhou Yi in farewell, and then turned and left.

"Ling Feng, what brings you to the provincial city?" Huaihua asked, clinging to Ling Feng’s arm.

Noticing that she had become much more cheerful and that her dress sense had noticeably changed, Ling Feng asked with a grin, "Do I need a reason to visit? Can’t I just miss you and come see how you’re doing?"

Huaihua replied with a twist of her mouth, "I don’t believe that!"

Ling Feng, lost for words, could only put his arm around her shoulder, "Fine, I indeed have some business to take care of here."

"Can I know what it is?" Huaihua asked.

"Better not to ask, it doesn’t really concern you anyway. Come on, let’s go out to eat!"

Ling Feng smiled, put his arm around her shoulder, and walked off; his other arm naturally found its way onto Zhou Yi’s shoulder.

Seeing this, Huaihua was immediately astonished, "You guys..."

She knew nothing about the relationship between Zhou Yi and Ling Feng and was quite bemused to see them being so close all of a sudden!

"Don’t ask me, ask your brother!" Zhou Yi said helplessly.

Ling Feng didn’t offer any explanation, just chuckled sheepishly, and Huaihua understood!

However, she felt only surprise and no aversion to it because, in her eyes, the only person who matched Zhou Yi was Ling Feng!

No other man was worthy!

Chattering and laughing, the three of them headed back to the parking lot, a scene which did not escape the notice of the students, sparking yet more speculation. Some even stealthily took snapshots of Ling Feng’s face to search for him online to find out who he really was.

As one would expect, Ling Feng’s military identity meant that his personal information wasn’t easily disclosed, so naturally, nothing could be found out about him.

After driving away from the campus, and because Huaihua had classes in the afternoon, Ling Feng didn’t drive too far, choosing a nearby restaurant that looked decent to take the two women for a meal.

During the meal, Huaihua was mostly interested in everyone’s recent well-being, as well as the situation back in Shiliu Village.

Ling Feng talked between bites, filling her in on all the recent happenings.

They chatted and ate, and after about an hour, he dropped her back at the campus.

As for the evening’s plans, Ling Feng had no opportunity to partake, as Zhou Yi had decided to take Huaihua out for clothes shopping, effectively kicking him out of their group.

But this worked out well for Ling Feng, as he had other matters to attend to!

In the early evening, he arrived at the bottom of Zhang Lan’s company building and, after waiting a few minutes, saw her dressed in professional attire walking towards the parking area.

Ling Feng hurriedly approached her, asking cheerily, "Sister Lan, how’s business been recently?"

"Since when did you start caring about this?"

Zhang Lan glanced at him and got straight into the car.

Sensing her mood was off, Ling Feng quickly followed her into the car and inquired, "What’s wrong, Sister Lan? You seem upset?"

"It’s nothing, just a little family issue," Zhang Lan sighed softly.

Caught off guard, Ling Feng immediately asked, "Something at home? Is it Luo Qianyu or someone else?"
