Chapter 616 Lin Huaqiang in Trouble

After breakfast, Ling Feng directly took out several fist-sized top-grade Spirit Stones and handed them to Wang Laogen and the others.

Everyone had been working hard these past few days, and some of the people they had brought had been injured while capturing members of the Black Dragon Sect.

But though he said that, he still stepped forward, grabbed a giant octopus leg, and began cutting it.

So, people started bustling about, some cutting, some carrying, and others using machines to package the smaller pieces of meat into vacuum bags.

While everyone was busy working, Ling Feng suddenly received a phone call from Lin Xue.

"Ling Feng, come quickly to the Demon Capital with me!"

Hearing the urgency in her voice tightened his heart.

"What happened?"

"My father has had an accident, hurry up and come!" Lin Xue cried out on the phone.

Ling Feng felt as if his heart had been struck hard by something, leaving his face in shock!

He quickly recovered and said loudly, "Don’t panic. Meet me at Nine Heavens, we’ll talk when we get there!"

After ending the call, he turned to Zhang He and others beside him, "Sorry, I’ve got something I need to handle!"

"Is it Lin Huaqiang? What happened to him?" Wang Laogen asked.

The two were sitting close, so he could hear Lin Xue’s voice through the handset.

"All I know is something happened, but I’m not sure what exactly," Ling Feng said, frowning.

"Do you want me to bring some people and come with you?" Zhang He asked.

Ling Feng hesitated for a moment, then shook his head, "There’s no need for now, I’ll go over and take a look at the situation first. If needed, I’ll come back and find you all later!"

"That’s fine, I’ll call an old colleague over there and see if they know anything!" Zhang He said with a grave voice.

He might be playful at times, but when it came to serious matters, he was the same decisive and efficient district director.

Ling Feng nodded, and in front of everyone, he teleported directly to Nine Heavens.

Lin Xue was already there, with Xun Qianqian and Miao Lanlan among others comforting her. Seeing Ling Feng arrive, Ling Yao immediately asked, "Could it be because of what happened last night?"

Lin Xue’s eyes were red, "My dad was attacked, and he’s in the hospital now, unconscious!"

"Then let’s teleport over there right away!"

Ling Feng nodded, turned around, and left the house with the four girls.

After he left, Zhang He looked around at everyone, "What’s the deal with Ling Feng’s ability to come and go without a trace?"

Knowing the inside story, Wang Laogen chuckled, "What do you think?"

"I wouldn’t be asking if I knew. Could that kid be practicing some sort of sorcery?" Zhang He scratched his head.

"Heh, well, if you really want to know what’s going on, wait for him to come back and ask him yourself!" Wang Laogen said with a laugh.

Zhang He rolled his eyes, "Forget it, that kid is so secretive, even if I asked he wouldn’t tell me!"

"Who doesn’t have some secrets?" Wang Laogen said meaningfully.

Zhang He’s expression changed, and he forced a smile, "Old Wang, are you implying something with that remark?"
