Chapter 2152 - 2151: Eavesdropping
Chapter 2152 - 2151: Eavesdropping
Ling Feng knew as soon as he heard Han Wancheng’s voice that something major had happened, so without hesitation, he hung up the phone and headed straight for the Capital City.
After they met, Han Wancheng looked at him and said, "You know what’s happening in Bangzi Country, right?"
"I know, is that why the boss called me here?" Ling Feng asked.
"That’s right!"
Han Wancheng nodded and continued, "Over there in Bangzi Country, they failed to discover it during the golden time, leading to a chain reaction!"
"Oh?"
Ling Feng frowned upon hearing this, "So fast?"
"The issue is quite serious now, do you have any solutions?" Han Wancheng asked.
Ling Feng thought for a moment, shook his head and said, "I can’t guarantee anything, but we can give it a try."
"Whether or not it works, we still have to give it a shot!" Han Wancheng said.
"Let me think!"
Ling Feng said, then squinted his eyes, "This matter definitely isn’t that simple. First, find someone to help with medicine, then I’ll go to Bangzi Country to check it out!"
"Alright."
Han Wancheng said, followed by a reminder, "Be careful when you go to Bangzi Country!"
"Don’t worry, I’ll be fine!"
Ling Feng smiled and made a call to Ah Min, asking her to teleport Shui Ling to the Capital City.
After explaining the situation, Ling Feng said to Shui Ling, "I’ll leave this side to you!"
"Alright, you go do your thing, I’ve got this side!"
Shui Ling nodded without another word.
Ling Feng didn’t have a direct teleport to Bangzi Country, so he had to transfer via an intermediate teleport. Reaching the sea, he rode Ghost Dragon to the Peninsula.
He arrived late at night, landing on the coast, and took advantage of the night to head straight for the nearest American military base.
Once nearby, Ling Feng swept his divine sense across the base, seeing its entirety.
Over a thousand American soldiers were stationed here, and compared to the chaos in Bangzi Country, the people here were very calm.
It was rest time now, with soldiers joking and laughing while washing up, looking relaxed.
However, the defense on the outskirts of the base was very strong. Not only was there barbed wire and electrified grids on the surrounding walls, but the base’s entrance was also heavily guarded, with soldiers standing there as if facing a formidable enemy.
Ling Feng used his divine sense to scan for a long time but didn’t find anything unusual or any hidden underground chambers.
"If there’s nothing to hide, why make the defense so tight?"
Ling Feng scratched his head, somewhat puzzled.
His divine sense noticed a military officer, who seemed to be the person in charge of the base, sitting in the office and reviewing several documents.
Ling Feng couldn’t see the text on those documents, but just from the officer’s expression, he felt the guy seemed rather preoccupied.
So Ling Feng didn’t leave, remaining outside the base to observe this person.
By eleven at night, the officer had been sitting in the chair for over an hour without getting up.
Just as Ling Feng was about to give up, the phone on the desk rang.
The officer answered and asked in a deep voice, "Who is it?"
"Smith from the joint fleet!"
"Good evening, Major General, I’m Philip," the officer said.
"Hmm, how are things at the base?" Smith asked.
"It’s very quiet now, everything is normal," Philip said.
"That’s good!"
Smith said, and then continued in a deep voice, "The news of our fleet’s arrival must be strictly blocked, and any evidence must be destroyed. It cannot be known to the citizens of Bangzi Country!"
"Yes, I understand!"
Philip agreed, then quickly asked, "Major General, the major corporations from Bangzi Country have been contacting me in recent days, I’m at my wit’s end. Is it really right to treat our allies this way?"
"It may not be right, but it’s necessary!"
Smith said, and then added, "Some people can be sacrificed!"
"Alright, then let them fend for themselves!" Philip said.
"No problem, just a few people dying in Bangzi Country, some from the corporations will survive, it’s not possible for everyone to perish!"
After Smith finished speaking, he continued in a deep voice, "Keep control of your people, don’t let them out in the short term!"
Philip: "Understood!"
Ling Feng suddenly realized, immediately understanding the situation.
The outbreak in Bangzi Country turned out to be orchestrated by the Americans. These guys are certainly ruthless to their little brothers!
Moreover, the Americans definitely have ulterior motives.
Once he understood the origin of the matter, Ling Feng guessed the Americans might have a solution.
Even though he didn’t have a clear answer, listening to their conversation was enough to make an educated guess.
Ling Feng’s eyes turned, and a plan immediately formed in his mind!
His divine sense no longer focused on the American base, shifting his attention to the hospital in Bangzi Country.
After pondering for a while, Ling Feng made a bold decision to head towards the hospital immediately.
