Chapter 1641 - 1640: The Outcome
Chapter 1641 - 1640: The Outcome
It wasn’t until dawn that Ling Feng and Li Fei’er left together and returned to Capital City.
This time, they didn’t go to the research institute but went directly to the safety agency.
Upon meeting Han Wancheng, Ling Feng handed over the photos they had taken before, saying, "Boss, this is what we found. See if you can find someone to decipher it."
"Alright!"
Han Wancheng picked up the images and looked at them, then frowned slightly, "These characters don’t look like our Huaxia script!"
"That’s because they aren’t. When has there ever been such a demented person in Huaxia history researching biological nuclear weapons?"
Ling Feng laughed bitterly and continued, "These words could be from another race or aliens; they shouldn’t be left by humans!"
"That’s going to be a problem then!"
Han Wancheng furrowed his brows, thought for a moment, then said, "I’ll find someone to translate it here, and you should try finding someone too!"
"Me?"
Ling Feng was startled and asked with some confusion, "Who should I find? I don’t know any experts in linguistics!"
"But you just said the creators of this language might not be of our kind, and don’t you happen to have someone like that around you?" Han Wancheng said.
"Uh..."
Ling Feng was at a loss for words for a moment, then nodded, "Alright, Fei’er has the original copy. I’ll have her forward it and ask around!"
He understood Han Wancheng’s implication; whether it was Long Xiaoyu or Ling Ling, they were both from races different from humans. Even An Xue was a descendant of the Shakya Tribe, not exactly a true human.
Having descendants of other civilizations around indeed means it’s worth a shot to ask. Who knows, someone might recognize these characters?
Once everything was arranged, Han Wancheng said to Ling Feng, "You’ve had a tough trip again this time. Now that Li Shiyun’s due date is approaching, take some time to rest at home and be with your wife and kids!"
"Let’s hope for that. I just hope there aren’t any unexpected incidents that I’ll have to handle!" Ling Feng said.
"Don’t worry, even if the sky falls during this time, I will arrange for someone else to handle it!" Han Wancheng replied.
Ling Feng chuckled, nodded with satisfaction, and left the safety headquarters with Li Fei’er.
They didn’t return to Nine Heavens but went to Longyuan first.
Zhang He was unaware of Ling Feng’s return to Antarctica, only finding out after they met.
After Li Fei’er forwarded the characters, Zhang He said beside them, "Even if we decipher these characters, the information within might not be much."
Ling Feng looked at him, "Why?"
"Think about it. Who commits wrongdoings and leaves an explanation at the scene telling people the reasons behind their actions?" Zhang He asked.
"That’s not necessarily true. There might be someone arrogant enough to boast about their accomplishments!"
Ling Feng laughed, "Haven’t there been precedents like that? Killing someone and leaving a name on the wall, ’The killer is Wu Song who acts!’"
"Uh..."
Zhang He was speechless, rolling his eyes at him, "That’s different! I bet you won’t find any clues even if you decipher those words!"
"Bet? What would you like to bet on?" Ling Feng asked.
"Let’s bet on being the godfather to your daughter when she’s born. I want to be her only godfather! No one else can take that away!" Zhang He said.
Ling Feng was speechless for a moment, then nodded, "Okay, it’s not a big deal. I’ll agree to that!"
While they were talking, Li Fei’er had already received a reply.
Long Xiaoyu responded with a bunch of question marks, not understanding what had been sent.
An Ran directly said she didn’t recognize the characters, and even after asking her father Du Hao, he was also clueless.
Ling Ling hadn’t responded yet. Just when Li Fei’er thought of calling her to check her phone, Ling Feng’s phone rang.
Seeing it was Xia Lan calling, Ling Feng said to Li Fei’er, "There’s no need to wait for Ling Ling. It seems they noticed something and contacted me directly!"
After saying this, he answered the call, asking with a smile, "Aunt Xia, are you looking for me?"
"Did you have Fei’er send those characters?" Xia Lan asked calmly.
"Yes, Aunt Xia, do you recognize these characters?" Ling Feng asked.
"I can understand some of it!"
Xia Lan nodded and continued, "These characters are not from our God Race; they come from the West. It’s said they were created by someone named Apollo."
"Hmm?"
Ling Feng was slightly stunned and looked at Zhang He, "Who’s Apollo?"
"The sun god in Ancient Greek mythology!" Zhang He squinted his eyes and said.
"Him?"
Ling Feng mumbled, then asked, "Aunt Xia, have you met Apollo?"
"No!"
Xia Lan shook her head and continued, "I’ve only interacted with a few Western God Race individuals. I’ve seen these characters before. Where did you get these things?"
"It’s a long story. If you have time, Aunt Xia, why don’t you come to Longyuan? We can talk in detail," Ling Feng suggested.
"Sure, wait for me, I’ll be there soon!"
Xia Lan’s tone was low, as if she also considered the matter significant.
Indeed, only two minutes after hanging up the phone, she arrived at Zhang He’s office.
Upon seeing her, Ling Feng and Zhang He both stood up, their faces full of respect.
After all, she represented Nuwa’s divine sense, an esteemed goddess from the past. It’s only right to show her some respect.
After sitting down, Xia Lan immediately asked, "So, where did those texts come from?"
Ling Feng didn’t prolong the matter, quickly recounting the series of events, including the discovery of peculiar creatures on the Antarctic Continent, and the subsequent analysis results from the safety agency.
After listening, Xia Lan pondered for a moment and said, "I can tell you that the text isn’t a record of processes; it’s merely grandiose speech—an ambition to dominate the entire Earth, which you might call a boastful declaration."
"Do you know who left it?" Ling Feng asked.
"This I don’t know. The person didn’t leave a name."
Xia Lan shook her head and continued, "But it can be affirmed that it definitely comes from Western God Race without a doubt."
"I can’t understand the motivation," Ling Feng furrowed his brows, looking puzzled.
"Uncle, isn’t it likely that the person who left the text had the same idea as Smack?" Li Fei’er reminded softly.
"You’re saying they both want to dominate Earthlings?" Ling Feng asked.
"Yes, that must be it."
Li Fei’er nodded and continued to analyze, "Those creatures must be left to be used when the time is right. This person’s ambition is probably something big, similar to Smack!"
"Alright then."
Ling Feng smiled, "Unfortunately, we don’t know where this guy is. It would be great if we could find him!"
