The Greatest Village Doctor In The World

Chapter 1453: Rescue

Chapter 1453: Rescue

Ling Feng hung up the phone and grabbed Long Xiaoyu’s hand: "Let’s go, whatever it is, we’ll deal with it first!"

The two then continued on their way, heading toward the Shan Feng.

With only two to three kilometers left, the roar of helicopters reached their ears.

They turned to look, and saw a black helicopter hovering about ten kilometers away on the mountainside.

"The Americans have indeed started."

Ling Feng glanced at it twice, unsure if they had discovered anything, but he had a plan. If they dared to stop him, then sorry, he’d have to shoot them down!

As soon as he thought this, a burst of fire shot out from the mountainside, hitting the helicopter directly!

The body of the aircraft tilted and crashed swiftly!

"What the hell is that?"

Ling Feng was stunned, wondering if someone in the mountains was carrying modern weapons.

After a brief moment of daze, he turned to look at Long Xiaoyu: "Let’s go check it out!"

"Alright!"

Long Xiaoyu nodded, immediately transforming into the Divine Dragon, and took Ling Feng soaring into the sky!

In an instant, they reached the site of the crash.

Although the aircraft fell, they were relatively lucky as it did not explode.

Seeing the two pilots inside still groaning in pain, Ling Feng was taken aback.

Scanning the surroundings with Divine Sense, the area from which the fire burst was merely black rock, without a trace of human presence. He thought for a moment before saying: "Forget it, let’s go down and take a look, we can’t just watch those two die."

"Yes."

Long Xiaoyu nodded, landing swiftly on the ground.

The two approached the smoking helicopter wreckage and saw the two soldiers inside.

Due to the deformation of the aircraft, and with both strapped in by seatbelts, they were trapped inside.

Meanwhile, the helicopter’s fuel tank was leaking, tick-tick-tick, making the situation quite urgent.

Seeing this, the two quickly stepped forward, Long Xiaoyu lifted the body of the aircraft, and Ling Feng used the God Slayer Saber to cut the seat belts, prying open the metal plating pressing down on them, exerting some effort to pull the two out.

The two soldiers initially thought their lives were over but now, having escaped death, were naturally grateful beyond measure to Ling Feng and Long Xiaoyu.

They knew the pair were not ordinary people, but due to the barrier of language, neither understood what the other was saying, relying solely on gestures to communicate.

Before the helicopter could explode, Ling Feng took one each, dragging them away for a few hundred meters, then a blast sounded behind them!

A mere one or two minutes delay earlier could have sealed their fates.

Seeing their faces filled with lingering fear, Ling Feng chuckled, gesturing to the communication devices on their shoulders.

The two soldiers came to, hastily reporting to the base about the situation.

About twenty minutes later, another aircraft arrived.

This was a fairly large helicopter, landing in the sand with over a dozen people jumping out.

Among these were soldiers and individuals in plain clothes, appearing to be rescue personnel.

One of the men in plain clothes approached, speaking fluent Huaxia: "You two must be from Huaxia, right?"

Ling Feng nodded: "Yes!"

"Thank you both for your help; as I heard from them, if not for your appearance, they would have already perished in the flames."

The man smiled, extending his hand: "I am Smith, may I know your name?"

Ling Feng shook his hand, thinking for a moment before answering truthfully: "I am Ling Feng!"

Smith clearly did not recognize Ling Feng’s name, smiling: "You two must be superpower users from Huaxia, right?"

"Yes!"

Ling Feng nodded: "We just happened to be nearby, saw the helicopter under attack. Right, ask these pilots what hit them?"

"Okay!"

Smith turned to ask a few questions, listened to the pilots’ answers, then turned to Ling Feng: "They didn’t see clearly, just suddenly saw a flash of light shoot out from the cracks in the rocks!"

"Really?"

Ling Feng was stunned, glancing at the distant Shan Feng, surrounded by black rocks, now making it impossible to find where the fire burst forth.

He could only smile wryly: "Forget it, later we’ll go to the mountain to take a closer look."

"Mr. Ling, please don’t rush. Soon, superpower users from America and our allied countries will arrive. It would be safer to go up the mountain together then." Smith said.

Ling Feng chuckled: "No need, I don’t need help from others."

He then glanced at the other soldiers: "Your men are injured, better take them back for treatment!"

"Sounds good."

Smith nodded, adding: "I didn’t mean anything else, just concerned for your safety, Mr. Ling. If you insist on going on, then best of luck to you!"

"Thank you very much!"

Ling Feng smiled, watching them take the two soldiers onto the helicopter, the rotors roaring as they flew away.

"We didn’t get attacked, but their helicopter was shot down, interesting!"

Ling Feng remarked to Long Xiaoyu, then pulled her hand: "Let’s go and see what’s strange about this mountain!"

"Alright."

Long Xiaoyu nodded, and together they headed toward Shan Feng.

This mountain, though steep, was not entirely impassable; several deep gorges split open, making the terrain quite complex.

Ling Feng did not rush directly to the summit but instead stepped into one of the gorges.

Stony ridges stood on both sides, most places forming a ninety-degree angle with the ground.

Entering the gorge, surrounded by black rubble, Ling Feng thought this place was really peculiar, almost like arriving on an extraterrestrial planet.

Deep within the mountain’s belly, the environment indeed had a sci-fi feel.

Long Xiaoyu hadn’t spoken, but her expression became very serious, her gaze curiously sweeping around.

The gorge’s end revealed a steep slope, ascending from here leads to the true base of the mountain, then they saw a winding treacherous path emerging on the mountainside.

"Look!"

Long Xiaoyu pointed with her hand; following that path upward, a mist appeared on the mountain peak, gradually enveloping the top.

"Oh, still changing?"

Ling Feng grabbed her hand: "Let’s go see what’s happening!"

Ascending the slope, after a few steps, in their peripheral vision, they saw a dark silhouette rushing towards them!

"Get out of the way!"

Ling Feng’s Divine Sense had already locked onto the dark creature, seeing its speed fast, he immediately swung the saber with a flash of blade light!

"Slash!"

The shadow was instantly split into two parts, falling to the ground, struggling momentarily before lying motionless.

Approaching, both Ling Feng and Long Xiaoyu were taken aback.

It was a black monkey-like creature.

But clearly, neither of them had ever seen such an animal before.
