Chapter 1447: A Plan for Escape

The car stopped at the hotel, and Ling Feng’s eyes darted around: "Well, you three go upstairs, I won’t be joining you!"

"Alright, you can head back first!" Mo Jiaolan said.

She knew what Ling Feng was thinking, and was willing to entertain Catherine on his behalf, which is why she said this.

But unexpectedly, Catherine pouted: "What? Mr. Ling dislikes me so much that he can’t wait to leave?"

"Of course not, it’s just that I have some matters to attend to at home."

Ling Feng, caught off guard, quickly tried to find an excuse, surprised at her directness.

Catherine smiled: "Really? That’s strange. From the flight until now, I haven’t heard your phone ring once, how do you know there’s something at home?"

"Uh..."

Ling Feng was at a loss for words, finding himself unable to explain.

Meanwhile, Mo Jiaolan and Chen Yuhe said nothing, both looking at him with amused expressions, thinking to themselves that he’s finally experiencing this kind of day.

With no choice, Ling Feng said, "Alright then, I’ll escort you upstairs!"

Catherine smiled before getting out of the car.

Ling Feng rolled his eyes behind her back secretly.

There was no chance of escape; he could only follow along like a tag-along as the three girls entered the lobby, then took the room key and went upstairs together.

Reaching the top floor, Ling Feng saw that Mo Jiaolan had booked the finest suite there, and couldn’t help but glance at her.

She didn’t look at him, seemingly unaware of his gaze.

Entering the room, upon seeing the arrangements and decor, Catherine nodded in satisfaction and said to Mo Jiaolan, "Thank you, Ms. Mo, for arranging such a nice room for me!"

"It’s expected. You’re an honored guest, so of course, you deserve a proper reception!"

Mo Jiaolan smiled and continued, "It’s getting late, would you like to change before we go to dinner, Miss Catherine?"

"Sure, please wait a moment, I’ll be right back!"

Catherine nodded before stepping into the bedroom and closing the door.

Left outside, Ling Feng looked at Mo Jiaolan and Chen Yuhe, quickly whispering, "I’ll find an excuse to leave later, please entertain her for me!"

"Alright, as long as you can actually leave!" Mo Jiaolan chuckled.

Chen Yuhe also chuckled mischievously and added in a low voice, "I really feel she’s not really interested in us, mainly wants you around, so I think you might not escape!"

"Hopefully not.... "

Ling Feng looked troubled, thinking that it better not be this way, or he’d be really frustrated!

Although Catherine is a beauty, Ling Feng’s stance was firm – he could not compromise on such matters!

After a short wait, Catherine came out.

This time she changed into casual attire, swapping her suit for a casual outfit, with a white sweater on top and slim pencil pants on the bottom, her long legs wrapped looking shapely and eye-catching.

She came empty-handed, but for someone of her status, how could she not have spatial equipment, so this didn’t surprise Ling Feng and the others much.

And Mo Jiaolan, noticing that Catherine wore flat shoes while she and Chen Yuhe were both in heels, yet still the same height as Catherine when standing together, smiled and said: "Miss Catherine has quite the figure, you’ve put thought into this!"

"You’re too kind, what shall we have tonight?"

Catherine linked her arm with her, smiling as she asked.

The way she acted, she already seemed like a close friend.

Ling Feng rolled his eyes furiously, recalling how Cheng Xiao also received such friendliness, and the result? He didn’t even realize he got poisoned!

However, he knew that Catherine wouldn’t do anything to Mo Jiaolan or Chen Yuhe at this moment, unless she was insane.

Moreover, Mo Jiaolan and Chen Yuhe were not ordinary themselves, their physiques far beyond common people, not something easily harmed.

The four of them left the room and then the hotel, heading directly to Junlin Hotel.

Though not frequent visitors, this was Mo Jiaolan’s designated spot for entertaining significant guests.

It was prime time for dining, but arrangements had been made beforehand, so there was still a private room available on the second floor.

Yet, as the four entered the lobby, many diners noticed the three beautiful women and couldn’t help but fixate their gaze.

Going upstairs to the private room, the four of them sat down.

Catching Catherine’s expression changing somewhat, Mo Jiaolan curiously asked, "What’s wrong, Miss Catherine?"

"No, it’s nothing."

Catherine chuckled, and said, "Though I’ve had Chinese food many times, this is my first time in a Huaxia restaurant, so it’s a bit novel to me!"

"Oh, the Chinese food you had abroad isn’t genuine. Now that you’re here, you must try our local specialties!" Mo Jiaolan smiled.

Ling Feng said nothing, pondering how to find an excuse to leave.

Anyway, after dinner, there wasn’t likely to be much to arrange, Catherine would surely head back to the hotel to rest, staying here was just a waste of time!

Just as he was unsure how to excuse himself, the phone rang!

Without even looking, Ling Feng quickly answered: "Hello?"

"Is it convenient to talk?"

The voice on the phone turned out to be Dick!

Ling Feng paused briefly, then stood up: "One moment!"

With a glance towards the three ladies, he got up and walked out of the private room.

Once in the corridor, he said: "It’s alright now, is there something Mr. Dick needs?"

"It’s not a big issue. I didn’t expect Mr. Ling to bring back a foreign lady. I have a favor to ask, if it’s convenient, please don’t disclose anything about me to her!" Dick said.

Ling Feng was taken aback, wondering how Dick knew Catherine came along.

As he pondered, Dick continued: "This is very important to me, please do help!"

"Sure, Catherine and I aren’t exactly friends, with no obligation to comply with her inquiries, so don’t worry, I won’t say anything!" Ling Feng replied.

Relieved, Dick then nodded: "Alright, thanks a lot!"

"Beep beep beep..."

The dial tone signaling the end of the call, Ling Feng was left puzzled, unsure why Dick was anxious, did Catherine bear a grudge against him?

Pondering this, Ling Feng thought it was the perfect opportunity to leave, hence returning quickly to the private room, apologetically saying: "Sorry, something urgent came up, I can’t stay with you all!"

This time, Catherine didn’t say much, merely nodding: "Alright, Mr. Ling, go ahead!"

"You go, we’ll take care of the guest!" Mo Jiaolan also nodded.

Ling Feng turned and left the private room, then let out a long breath, helplessly shaking his head: "Damn it, it’s like I’m afraid of her or something!"
