The Greatest Village Doctor In The World

Chapter 1430: Village Visits

Chapter 1430: Village Visits

Ling Feng thought for a moment, then said, "We can’t be hasty. Let me study this carefully tomorrow!"

"A name is just a label. As long as you like it, there’s no need to make it so grand," Li Shiyun said with a smile.

Ling Feng looked serious: "You can randomly choose a nickname, but a proper name needs to be meaningful!"

Seeing him like this, Li Shiyun just smiled gently without saying anything.

Knowing it was getting late, Ling Feng reached out, and she immediately leaned over. The two of them embraced and closed their eyes.

They slept very soundly, but in the morning, they were awakened by bursts of firecracker sounds outside.

On New Year’s Day, people were already starting New Year visits, so Ling Feng and Li Shiyun naturally couldn’t stay in bed and hurriedly got up.

As soon as they opened the door, a group of children arrived!

The most active one was Li Fei’er, who came in demanding red envelopes.

Facing this ringleader kid, Ling Feng quickly took out money and handed everyone a big red envelope. Watching the older kids beam with smiles and the younger ones still toddling yet blossoming with joy, he couldn’t be happier.

After sending off the children who came for the New Year, Ling Feng and Li Shiyun headed to the Chu Family Villa.

The elders were there, so he definitely needed to come and pay his respects.

When they arrived, the place was already bustling.

Ling Feng greeted everyone he met, from the door to upstairs, without stopping!

Upon reaching Chu Nan’s study and seeing the dozen or so people inside, he immediately joked, "Great, everyone’s here, so I don’t have to find each of you one by one!"

"But you still have to greet each one. You can’t just say a general Happy New Year to all and be done with it!" Wang Laogen immediately interjected.

"Alright, being the junior, I have to do this!"

Ling Feng nodded and began greeting each person, starting with Chu Nan.

The elders received his greetings calmly; this young man was extraordinary, having accomplished numerous remarkable feats in the past year. But Huaxia is a land of etiquette, and such rituals cannot be omitted!

Of course, after accepting the New Year’s greetings, they couldn’t let Ling Feng leave empty-handed, and everyone began giving red envelopes.

Ling Feng didn’t bother counting them, just accepting and placing them into his bracelet, as these were tokens of blessing and the amount didn’t matter.

Seeing everyone enjoying tea and chatting, Ling Feng sat down with a smile: "Perfect timing, I couldn’t decide last night, so could everyone help me with an idea?"

"What idea are you talking about?" Chu Nan asked.

"Shiyun is due in two months, but I still haven’t thought of a name for our daughter!" Ling Feng laughed.

"So that’s it!"

Chu Nan pondered: "This is your first child and a little princess. How about calling her Princess Ling?"

Ling Feng: "..."

Wang Laogen rolled his eyes: "That name sounds terrible, too common. Did you use all that book knowledge just as food for thought?"

After speaking, he thought for a moment: "This little princess will be the family’s treasure right after birth, so why not call her Ling Pearl?"

"..."

Ling Feng looked exasperated at the two old men: "Can you two please stop joking around?"

Everyone burst into laughter, knowing it was all just in good fun, and no one took it seriously.

Then the discussions began, with some flipping through books and others searching for information. Each came up with various suggestions, but agreement was elusive.

Finally, Ling Feng sighed helplessly and said, "Forget it, I’ll think of it myself. There’s still time, two months should be enough to come up with a satisfying name!"

...

...

The cheerful atmosphere in Shiliu Village lasted until the fifth day of the lunar month, after which guests began leaving to return home.

But this didn’t affect the New Year’s spirit; the village was still filled with laughter and joy.

Ling Feng had been staying at the Chu Family Villa for these past few days, but by the sixth day, he knew he shouldn’t just keep indulging, he needed to get some serious work done!

So he left home and began visiting other villages.

For places like Mountain God Temple Village, this New Year was also quite significant.

Ling Feng’s arrival brought investment and technology, and the villagers had already reaped the benefits, believing that the new year would undoubtedly be better than the last, with prosperous days ahead.

So upon learning that Ling Feng was coming, nearly every village welcomed him with the warmest hospitality.

Of course, Ling Feng didn’t let their efforts go unappreciated and gave each village’s children red envelopes.

Since there were so many places to visit, Ling Feng couldn’t stay long in any one place, spending only half a day before moving on.

Even so, by the time he reached his last stop, Shankou Village, it was already the tenth day of the lunar month.

The villagers of Shankou Village, knowing that Ling Feng would arrive today, had been eagerly awaiting his arrival at the village entrance for a while.

Returning from Tang Family Village, Ling Feng saw from afar the thronging crowd and felt a surge of emotion.

The villagers were so genuine; if you treated them well, they’d repay you a hundredfold with kindness.

Once in the village, there was no shortage of enthusiastic hospitality. After having lunch at the Village Chief’s home, the sun was already setting as Ling Feng emerged.

Given the time, he could skip dinner altogether.

Walking through the village, Ling Feng knew that Sun Hao hadn’t returned, so he scanned the pig farm and tea garden with his divine sense.

With workers on duty and everything in order at both locations, Ling Feng felt reassured and turned to head back using teleportation from Little Lian’s home.

However, after only a few steps, he heard someone calling him from behind. Turning around, he saw Hehua catching up to him.

"Weren’t you at Shiliu Village? When did you get back?" Ling Feng asked with a smile.

"I’ve been back three or four days. Ling Brother, are you heading back now?" Hehua asked.

"Yes, do you want to go with me?" Ling Feng replied.

Hehua shook her head, biting her lip, "Can you not leave today?"

Ling Feng was taken aback, "Why? Is there something wrong?"

"Yes, my family isn’t home today. I was hoping you could keep me company, is that okay?" Hehua asked quietly, lowering her head.

"No one home?"

Ling Feng was even more surprised: "I saw your parents when I arrived at the village, how come there’s no one now?"

"They went to visit relatives and won’t be back tonight..." Hehua explained.

"I see?"

Ling Feng seemed to understand something, so he smiled, nodded, and said, "Alright, since you can’t leave home and might not feel comfortable alone, I’ll keep you company then!"

"Thank you, Ling Brother!"

Hehua was very happy to hear this and immediately lifted her head.

Seeing the joy sparkling in her eyes, Ling Feng smiled and patted her head.

He had no improper thoughts about this girl, only seeing her as a little sister.

Although he knew Hehua’s parents were subtly trying to pair them up, Ling Feng didn’t intend for anything to happen between them tonight.

Back at her house, it wasn’t long before the sky gradually darkened.
