The Greatest Village Doctor In The World

Chapter 1414: Waiting

Chapter 1414: Waiting

On the snow, lighting a fire was definitely not an option.

So Ling Feng used the old method from the Alps, directly digging out a snow cave.

He spread out a moisture-proof mat, laid down a thick pad, and set up a tent. The two of them crawled inside together.

A wave of warmth filled the air, and Li Fei’er yawned, "Uncle, I’m going to sleep!"

"Okay, go ahead and sleep."

Ling Feng nodded, using his Divine Sense to scan the surroundings, observing the area.

But Li Fei’er didn’t move, staring at him directly. Noticing her gaze, Ling Feng turned to look at her, "What’s up?"

"I want you to hold me while I sleep!" Li Fei’er pouted.

"If I hold you, can you still sleep?"

Ling Feng tapped her nose and continued, "After a night of fuss, make sure to rest. We have to set out again after dark!"

"No way, it’s rare to be alone with you. I want you to hold me while I sleep!" Li Fei’er insisted, twisting her body.

"Alright."

Ling Feng conceded, thinking that the person he favored most in his heart was this girl.

So he lay down and embraced Li Fei’er.

They lay in each other’s arms, and Li Fei’er looked at him with big eyes, "That’s it?"

"Uh..."

Ling Feng had no choice, he bent down and kissed her forehead, "Is that alright now?"

"Almost!"

Li Fei’er giggled, then happily closed her eyes.

In just a moment, she entered her dreams with a smile.

Ling Feng watched her for a while and then released his Divine Sense again, observing the outside environment.

He didn’t feel sleepy. Although this place was a barren, extreme cold area, he couldn’t let down his guard.

Ambushes weren’t scary to him; Ling Feng just didn’t want to miss anything happening outside.

Thus, a day passed like this.

In the far north, there were very few daylight hours; soon the sun set, and the land was once again shrouded in night.

Ling Feng didn’t notice any unusual circumstances, though about dozens of Siberian Wolves passed by, he didn’t bother with these animals.

When Li Fei’er woke up, Ling Feng smiled and asked, "Did you sleep well?"

"Very well, very sound!"

Li Fei’er smiled, then began to act coy, "Uncle, I’m hungry."

"I’ll make you something to eat!"

Ling Feng nodded, taking out an alcohol stove from his bracelet.

He cooked a pot of seafood noodles, and the two ate contentedly, feeling warmth spread through their bodies.

Then they continued their journey, resting whenever they were tired, and two days later, Ling Feng and Li Fei’er arrived near their destination.

The pace of animal migration sure wasn’t as fast as Little Hong’s flying speed, so Ling Feng and Li Fei’er had to stay here for a few days, waiting for them to catch up.

After some searching, Ling Feng chose a wind-sheltered cliff and the two of them built a snow house together.

Of course, they weren’t just sitting there waiting idly; they needed to monitor the animals’ movements too.

So, during their free time, Ling Feng and Li Fei’er rode on Little Hong’s back, monitoring the surrounding area.

Two days passed.

Five days passed.

There was still no sign of the animals, and both of them were a bit bored from waiting.

However, for Li Fei’er, it was rare to spend such a long time alone with Ling Feng, she was still very happy.

But staying in a snow-covered cold place was really a bit too dull.

So this morning, after breakfast, she couldn’t help but ask, "Uncle, there are only ten days left till New Year’s, it seems we really can’t go back!"

"No, I believe those animals will soon gather together." Ling Feng smiled.

"Then what will we do afterwards? Are we going to kill them all?" Li Fei’er asked.

Ling Feng shook his head, "That’s too cruel, they are being controlled by someone, they haven’t done anything wrong."

"Then how do we deal with them?" Li Fei’er asked.

"Let’s capture them first and then set up a zoo in Mo Hai later."

"That sounds good, but so many animals will eat a lot every day!" Li Fei’er reminded.

"That is indeed a problem!"

Ling Feng pondered for a moment, "Let’s keep them first, when there are more animals, we might as well sell tickets!"

"..."

Li Fei’er was somewhat speechless at this but still nodded, "Alright, I can’t bear to kill so many animals, I’ll take care of this!"

While they were chatting, Ling Feng’s Divine Sense suddenly noticed two figures atop the cliff behind them!

These two people appeared out of nowhere, standing there in an instant.

Ling Feng was startled, and Li Fei’er immediately asked, "What happened?"

"Two people appeared up there!"

Ling Feng said, continuing, "They’re probably the ones controlling these animals!"

"Perfect!"

Li Fei’er stood up, "Should we capture them?"

Ling Feng shook his head, "No rush, they haven’t noticed us yet, let’s see what they’re up to first!"

These two weren’t wearing much, seemingly unfazed by the cold. They both had the appearance of Westerners with big beards, and were speaking a language that was completely unintelligible.

The two gazed into the distance, exchanged a few words, and then in a flash, disappeared!

"Damn, they left!"

Ling Feng couldn’t help but regret, wishing he had gone out to grab them just now!

But now it was too late, they could only wait for next time.

He already guessed their intentions; these two were also waiting for the animals to gather.

It wouldn’t be long before they would see these two again.

...

...

Another two days passed, during one of Ling Feng’s patrols, he noticed many traces of Siberian Wolves, and dozens of brown bears and black bears were also appearing nearby.

This season is normally when bears hibernate, yet they had traveled a long way to arrive here, it was truly baffling.

The time was just about right, both Ling Feng and Li Fei’er felt a sense of relief.

Concluding their patrol, the two returned to the snow house.

As soon as they entered, they sensed those figures with their Divine Sense.

This time, after the two emerged, they directly leaped off the cliff, heading off into the distance, seemingly to meet those animals.

Ling Feng thought about this, but still didn’t pursue.

It’s not too late to determine whether there were others behind these two.

Thus, under his Divine Sense surveillance, the two joined up with the wolf pack.

Seeing the wolves’ fearful demeanor towards the two, Ling Feng chuckled inwardly, "So it’s them!"

These two were indeed the ones orchestrating the long migration of these animals; they were also a pair of madmen, attempting to use these animals to attack America, who knows what they were thinking.

As evening fell, the wolf pack gathered, nearly a hundred bears also congregated.

The two stood at a high point, facing the animals gathered below, preparing to command them to cross the strait.

Just then, a figure flashed by their side, and Ling Feng appeared in front of them, smiling broadly!
