Chapter 1404: Preparing for Action
Chapter 1404: Preparing for Action
Ling Feng was momentarily retorted but didn’t say anything. After the car stopped at a small dock, he got out with Zhou Yi.
A small yacht was waiting at the dock, and the two boarded it together.
Then, under the cover of night, the yacht left the dock, heading straight for the opposite shore.
In the cabin, Ling Feng saw Zhou Yi resting against the sofa, and he sat down beside her.
Stretching out her hand, Zhou Yi naturally fell into his arms, snuggling to find a comfortable position before closing her eyes to rest.
Ling Feng’s Divine Sense scanned around; it was all vast sea outside, with no apparent danger, so he closed his eyes to take a nap as well.
It wasn’t until the sky began to brighten that the two woke up simultaneously.
Seeing Zhou Yi had rested well, Ling Feng asked, "You still haven’t told me the mission details!"
"There are two parts: one is against the superpower organization in England, as retaliation for their previous intrusion into Huaxia. I’ll tell you the other part later!"
Seeing her deliberately keeping things mysterious, Ling Feng just smiled and said, "This is my favorite kind of task!"
"I could have managed on my own, but you insisted on coming along. So, this time it’s on you; I’ll just be there to back you up!" Zhou Yi said.
"No problem at all, leave it to me!"
Ling Feng nodded, then continued, "These people are really persistent. Even after The Holy See suffered such a defeat, they still haven’t sensed anything and are thinking about Huaxia’s treasures!"
"Men die for wealth. Facing so many Spirit Stones, everything else can be ignored!"
Zhou Yi sneered, "Too bad their ideas are outdated. Do they still think Huaxia is how it was over a century ago?"
"Exactly, we’re not so easy to bully anymore!"
Ling Feng nodded, then asked, "How did they know about the Spirit Stone Mine in Huaxia’s mountains? Have we figured this out yet?"
"Not yet, we need to clear that up during this mission!" Zhou Yi said.
"Alright, no problem!"
Ling Feng nodded; as long as they captured the leader, they might get some answers.
Of course, if the leader was as tight-lipped as the previous ones, they would have to think of another way.
At this time, the yacht’s captain came downstairs, informing Zhou Yi that they would reach their destination soon.
The sun was about to rise as Ling Feng and Zhou Yi stepped onto the deck. The coastline was already visible, and further on were layers of ridged mountains.
The yacht didn’t dock directly but stopped not far from the shore. Then Ling Feng and Zhou Yi leapt to set foot on England’s land.
The two then entered the mountains, engaging in a fast-paced run.
By the time the sun rose, they had crossed the mountain range, arriving at a vast plain.
This was in northern England, still several hundred kilometers from their mission location. After descending the mountains, they came to a small town and wandered the streets like a sightseeing couple.
Afterwards, Zhou Yi used documents to rent a car, and the two left the small town.
Ling Feng learned that the identity was fake.
The car wouldn’t be returned, and the rental deposit would be lost.
But that didn’t matter; to complete the mission, even buying a car wasn’t an issue.
It was just that buying a car involved complicated procedures, so to save time, they did it this way.
Since driving here was right-hand drive, Ling Feng couldn’t help even if he wanted to. He was used to left-hand drive and might unconsciously drive into oncoming traffic, so Zhou Yi did all the driving.
This journey took another day, and by the time they arrived in Mist City, night had fallen.
This city was renowned worldwide, and in winter, daylight hours were very short, often shrouded in fog due to frequent rain.
The car pulled up in front of a hotel, and Zhou Yi and Ling Feng got out and entered the hotel.
Upon entering and seeing familiar Oriental faces, Ling Feng was somewhat surprised. Hearing Zhou Yi speaking Huaxia language with them was even more comforting.
Having traveled this far from Huaxia, suddenly seeing Huaxia people felt very special.
After a conversation, they learned that the owner, nominally an immigrant, was in fact a staff member of the Security Bureau in Britain.
So for Ling Feng and Zhou Yi, entering the hotel was like returning home.
The two went upstairs, and Zhou Yi took out the documents given by the owner, and they each read a copy.
It was a list concerning the Seventh Group in Britain.
The Seventh Group was the name of this superpower organization, and the list contained information on their key leaders.
There were seven people in total, the most powerful representatives of the Seventh Group.
Ling Feng couldn’t be bothered to remember their names. He only stared at their photos for a while, memorizing their appearances.
After a while, Ling Feng asked, "Are we going to take out all seven of them?"
"It’s not necessary; we just need to cripple them so the Seventh Group is severely weakened!" Zhou Yi replied.
"How do we cripple them?" Ling Feng asked.
"I have a way; I’ll tell you later!"
Zhou Yi said, then pointed to the first person on the list, "This person is the most important. Capturing her first might give us the information we need from her."
"Okay."
Ling Feng had already memorized the appearance of the blonde woman, with her big hooked nose, over forty years old, looking like an old witch from a fairy tale.
And she was the highest leader of the Seventh Group; she was the founder of the organization.
Since she was important, approaching her was naturally not easy.
This old witch lived in a high-security building, heavily guarded, with multiple security checks required to get upstairs.
The building’s layout was also available. Ling Feng glanced at it, having a plan in mind.
It’s not difficult to take her out, but capturing her alive to extract information requires some effort.
But that wouldn’t stump Ling Feng. After looking, he said to Zhou Yi, "To achieve this, we’ll need help. Take out the Teleportation Array; it won’t hurt to use some Spirit Stones!"
"Who are you calling for help, Little Yu?" Zhou Yi asked.
Ling Feng shook his head, "No, Fei’er will do; she has a new ability now!"
Zhou Yi was taken aback, "Really? What’s her ability?"
"You’ll find out when the time comes!"
Ling Feng smiled mysteriously, taking out a large Spirit Stone from his bracelet.
Seeing this, Zhou Yi just rolled her eyes and quickly pulled out the Teleportation Array.
